Their work is usually OK, but sometimes is lacking. They replaced the valve cover gasket on my BMW (I get all the parts directly from BMW), and withing 10 000 miles its leaking again. Its possible that its the gasket, but I suspect they did not put it in properly and it was leaking from the beginning. I have a problem with them trying to rip off their clients. A few years ago I had my car in for an oil change and they said I needed some work done (I think it was brakes or something of the sort). When I pointed out they had the brakes replaced just a couple of months before, the guy claimed the tech got the cars confused. After that incident, I stopped going there for a while, but then decided to give them a second chance. I would still get high quotes every now and then - for example an estimate close to $300 for serpentine belts and a couple of other small things which I ended up doing myself for $50 in parts and 45 minutes of my time, but I always made a point to ask for an estimate before letting them work on my car. What broke the camels back is that they charged me $70 for oil & oil sensor change. As usual, I purchased the parts from BMW and dropped the car the night before for "first thing in the morning" oil change. Having done this before, I did not ask for the price. The car was not ready until 10am (they open at 8) and I was charged $15 for oil change and $55 for the sensor. Now, you have to understand that once the oil is drained, changing the sensor is a matter of undoing 4 bolts. Anyone with opposable thumbs can do it in about 5 minutes. Its as hard as changing your wipers. Both the mechanic and the guy at the front desk claimed that the job calls for 1h of labor and that they are giving me a great deal by just charging me for 1/2 hour. I understand they have to make money - I dont mind paying a reasonable price, but I dont like to be treated as an idiot. If been taking my cars there pretty regularly for a few years now, but Im not sure I trust these guys anymore. All in all, its an OK place, but do you homework and always ask for written estimate before you let them work on your car.

If I could give it no stars, I would. I used to always go to this location and they used to provide great service. There must be new terrible management. I called today to get a price quote on a service that I believe is wrong with my car. I called around 2:40 pm on July 22nd, 2017. The reason for the call is because I needed to know an approximate amount just in case I needed to borrow some money from a family member to get the work done. The service adviser acted like he didnt want to help because he pushed me to come in to get an estimate (which involves money) opposed to "calling around and getting this quote". He stated that he would have to "call around and get the quote from other locations." It shouldnt matter if you have to call around to get the quote, at the end of the day if i want to know, I want to know. So he collected my phone number, make model of car, and hung up. He didnt give me a time frame for calling me back and didnt ask for my name, but in spite of this I still had faith that they would call back. Its a shame because I am a woman and I feel some type of discrimination here opposed to if I was a man. Here it is 4:57 pm and they have yet to call me back and they closed at 4:00 pm. Its a shame because this shop is right around the corner from my job and it would have been splendid for me to just drop off before going to work. Now I cant ever go here again because I cant trust them. Do you think they will call me back? (Rhetorical Question)

In the last 6 months I had my 05 Subaru engine rebuilt by Agile automotive. The rebuild cost $6000 to get everything straight. The other day my car just wouldnt start. I figured I would get it towed to Agile considering they just rebuilt the engine and it could be related. Well five days and $270 (just for diagnostic time) later they told me they still needed time diagnosing and hadnt pinpointed the exact problem, mind you Agile ONLY works on Subarus. My friend knew the owner of precision tune and understood my car frustrations with Agile and told me to get it towed to precision, so I did. In the first day of precision having the car they figured out not one, but two issues with the car. The owner called me and thoroughly explained my issues and answered all my questions. Not only that Agile but had taken off several panels in my car (that never needed to be removed at all with their "diagnostic process") and never replaced them prior to being towed to precision and precision put them back on for no charge! Precision specializes in Hondas but if you ask me they specialize in Subarus better than the so called Subaru specialists at Agile. I could not be happier with the service, honesty, and cost of my repairs. They have gained a loyal customer.

I specifically waited months to write this review. Had my car serviced for a problem that 3 other shops and even the dealership could not fix. They had it diagnosed in a few hours and repaired the very next day. Months later the issue is still fixed! These guys know their stuff! Stan and Nolan are great guys, they explained to me exactly what was going on and why no one else could find the issue (again not even the dealership after 2 visits). I have finally found a place to take my car that as they say "I like, know and trust". Give this shop a try you wont be disappointed!

I went there recently on a Saturday morning with my restless boys and was out in about an hour. (I made an appt) I expected to be there for at least three. The Waiting area is hospitable and they have Great Coffee (Keurig). The service folks are actually honest. How manytimes have you waited to get fleeced or for service folks to recommend stuff that you dont need. Well, they didnt pull my leg or try to oversell stuff. They are further up from shops in Towson where I live, but I am getting my Maint done there from now on.

I just wanted to mention how satisfied Ive been with my eperiences at the Hunt Valley Precision Tune. Nolan, Stan and the entire staff there are extremely knowledgeable and have saved me money several times by alerting me of potential issues and fixing the problems prior to becoming major issues. I wouldnt go anywhere else and highly recommend anyone else to give them a try. Ive been driving for almost 40 years and found them to be the best in the business, from oil changes to transmissions.

I had to get my sons car inspected for the first step in the Maryland motor vehicle registration process (for new residents). I chose Precision Tune Auto Care because of the location and high ratings. The experience was perfect. The inspection was thorough, completed quickly, and very reasonably priced. The guys inside at the desk were professional, personable, and friendly. I would recommend the shop without any hesitation. This is our shop of choice.
