I visited Midas at Owings MIlls for Engine check indicator on and I was informed that knock sensor needs to be replaced and it was estimated and fixed for $650 ($300 for knock sensor and $350 for labor) . After fixing the issue, I drove for about 8 miles and car stopped on the road. I had to tow it back to Midas to check and they informed that my car engine was gone and it needs to be replaced. They mentioned that it was just a coincidence and there was no issue with their fix. It was toyota avalon with 137K miles on it. I still, suspect that it was an issue with their fix, as they informed that they had to open engine to install knock sensor and close the engine to fix the original check engine indicator. I am still suspecitng that they had done something wrong when they opened and closed the engine. No need to say. I will never visit this again.

We were driving our Jeep Grand Cherokee on 695 when our engine started jerking and then finally died as we pulled into Midas. We are out of town, so Stan and Steve were kind enough to get the car fixed by the end of the day. The repair included replacement of 2 coils. However, as we were driving home in the evening, the engine started coughing again, so we got off at the next 695 exit and left the Jeep there. Our son came up from NoVA and took us back home. Next day, Stan agreed to tow the Jeep back to the shop (at their cost) and take another look at the vehicle. Eventually we had to replace all the coils, spark plugs and cam sensor...and they gave us a discount because of the trouble we had the night before. Now the Jeep runs great. The staff at Midas took good care of traveling strangers. Thank you!

I went to this Midas recently because my mother goes there and she said that the service has always been good. My check engine light had come on so I took it in to get it fixed because I thought it was a fuel filter, which is a bigger job than I can handle myself with my limited car knowledge. They charged me $42.50 for a car diagnostic which is free almost anywhere else. The code came back 1 bad ignition coil. THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME $250!!!!! Thank goodness for smartphones, I quickly looked up the part($82) and how to install it(2 bolts, less than 3 minutes) and got the heck out of there before they could rip me off any more. Im in my early 20s and look particularly young, so they probably thought I was easy bait. NEVER EVER, EVER GOING BACK THERE!!!! Id advise anyone to stay far away from here.

Phenomenal, fantastic, great communication, patience, kindness and detailed explanation regarding my situation. This couldve easily been a horrible experience for me. First, my car broke down on 95. I was towed 40 miles away to the shop. I live in Loudoun County, Virginia and these guys made it so easy for me to deal with the stress and scariness, of being far from home, and a single female. They gave me every discount possible, they went to the dealership to pick up a special part, they had uber take me to work, and even some tips on how to get reimbursed from the dealer. Twice now I have taken my car to another place and been severely over-quoted before I chose Midas for their competitive prices, availability, and customer service. I had my rear brakes and front axles replaced just today in a shorter comparable period of time to other places, and at a staggeringly competitive price to Firestone (I mean, over 50% less). I was helped out at the desk by Steve, who was cordial and transparent. He made sure I knew everything about what I was paying for in terms of parts and labor. And, of course, my mechanic was Dane, who is easily one of the most hardworking and honest auto mechanics Ive dealt with. On a scale of 1 to 5 stars, they surely deserve 10.

A few months back when we were on our way back from vacation our transmission went out in our SUV and it left us stranded on the highway. Our SUV was towed to this Midas and I am very thankful it was. Not only was the front desk staff extremely helpful but the tech that worked on our SUV was as well. They were very honest and up front with us about what needed to be fixed and fixed it in a timely manner. They offered us more than one option (old vs new) and explained all the pros and cons to each option. We are not from the area (about 1.5 hours away) but I would definitely drive the miles to have them work on our vehicle again.

On Saturday morning March 4, 2017, I took my car to the Midas shop for a scheduled oil change. The front counter employee was very helpful with my requested service and was friendly and professional. As for the overall customer service, it was efficient and impressive. The technician who performed an oil change on my car was fantastic. He did the service very quickly. It was virtually in and out for me. I am satisfied with the service. I would recommend friends and family to get their vehicles serviced at this location.

I had some exhaust work done to my Acura TSX and they did an awesome job everyone there was so nice and very helpful they explain to me what all need to be done and how much time it was gunna take and it done in the manner of time I was told which I was very happy with I got to see the work Once it was done and they made sure that I was happy with it which I was they did an extremely outstanding job. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. Came here for the first time for a simple oil change then 3 days later Engine check light, VSA light, and Hazardous light comes on all at once. Considering my car NEVER had a single issue before I am sure the incompetence of this place was the reason. Just contacted the corporate cause of this issue. Lets see how they handle this situation.

I honestly had my apprehensions about this location before going in. But after speaking with the manager he assured me I would be taken care of and I was. The prices are not too high AND there are coupons online. I am an ACTUAL customer who had a good experience. Got my starter replaced at a VERY GOOD price. Ask for Stan or the manager.

I went to midas to get some work done to my car. A billing problem came up and it took a lot of playing phone tag to get the billing done correctly. Cheryl working with me was absolutley phenominal!! I have not had such excellent customer service in a long time. She was very patient and knew what she was doing. I will definately be back.

Dont go here unless you want to be ripped off! They dont stand behind their work nor does their corporate office, and they overcharge. Youll go back and forth until your 90 day agreement is up and youre out of luck. You likely have to go to small claims court for your money back from DLB, INC Steve Bahk the Owner of this MIDAS.
