My husband and I have brought our cars to this Meineke for a few years now. The gentlemen running the shop are courteous, intelligent, and thorough. They always leave our cars on the lift and show us the issues/parts that need to be replaced. I never feel taken advantage of or "ripped off." Now, the point of an inspection is not only to drive legally, but to make sure you are safe. That being said, different mechanics have different standards and some mechanics are willing to slap a sticker on your car with known issues. If that is what you are looking for, this Meineke is not the shop for you. However, they provide you an extensive quote before they do any work on your vehicle. This quote is printed out in an easy-to-follow format, listing every part and hour of labor required. If you dont like whats been said, get a second opinion. Or make a few calls and see how much other shops will charge to do the same work. We pay a friend $20/hr to work on our vehicles, and he buys the parts needed online by reading them right off the Meineke quote. I am open and honest with Ben, Nate, and Josh when I say, "Wow, Im going to need to call my other guy and see if he can do this because thats a little steep for me." Theyve even gone as far as giving me helpful hints to tell my friend who is making the repair instead of them. That last sentence proves that these gentlemen are not out to get you. They know that we cant always afford their repairs, and I believe they truly care about their customers safety and condition of their vehicles. These people are down to earth, charming, caring, and never disrespectful or belittling. They truly have our trust.

I, just like Katy D below had a very similar experience. I have been going to this Meineke for close to 3 years. They ARE very nice, funny and personable. I enjoyed going there and liked that they were family owned, etc. I recently just took my car to them for an oil change and inspection. Josh called me to inform me that my rear right caliper was seized and the left rear caliper went back with resistance. They also said one rear brake pad was split and needed replaced. They quoted me $1,500.00 to just do the things needed to pass inspection. They also highly advised me to replace both calipers, rear rotors, brake pads, and then my brake lines would obviously need flushed after all that. For all of that was going to be around $2,000. (He also advised me to change my timing belt as suggested by Hyundai, but he then realized I dont even have a timing belt.) I was of course offered the Meineke credit card with no interest for 6 months when I was in shock from the amount of money I would have to pay out to get my car to pass inspection. Thankfully, I told them not to order the parts for my car and went and got a 2nd opinion. Nothing was wrong with my car at all. Nothing. They suggested replacing rotors at some point in the future, but they would last me at least another 3 oil changes or so and that they would keep an eye on them. I ended up paying for the inspection and that was it. I saved over $1,500 trusting my gut and getting that 2nd opinion even though I really enjoyed going there and talking with the guys. I am so sad to write this review because I really trusted these guys and was a customer for 3 years.

I have been going to this Meineke for many years now and have always felt that I can trust them. Josh, Nate, and Ben are very knowledgeable and patient and do a good job of thoroughly explaining what work needs done and what the price will be. I have never had any issues with them changing prices on me. Their customer service has always been very good. On a couple of occasions, my car has needed to stay overnight to get the job finished and I was given a free loaner car to use for the night. On my most recent visit, I got stuck in the West Manchester Mile (1/4 mile from Meinekie) with a totally flat tire and had an equipment issue where I couldnt get to my spare tire. I went to Meineke simply to ask if I could borrow the appropriate wrench. Instead, they sent a mechanic back with me to the mall and pumped up my tire enough to drive it to their shop, where they could check it out. I had bought the tire from them a year ago and had purchased road hazard on it, so I was expecting a quick plug repair. Unfortunately, the gash was too deep to plug so they replaced it with a new tire. While my road hazard insurance should have covered the majority of the cost of the new tire, I should still have had to pay for about 25% on the new tire and some service fees; but instead they gave me the new tire with all service included with no charge. -- very good customer service!

I usually dont write bad reviews… or reviews at all. But I was taken advantage of so terribly at this place I have to warn other people. I went in for an oil change and inspection with a coupon (probably the first red flag). First I failed my emissions test- okay not so bad. Its going to cost me nearly 400 dollars to be able to pass. So i say to the guy before signing the estimate "Look, im a broke college student. I see this is an estimate. ITS NOT GOING TO GO UP FROM HERE, RIGHT?" and he says so me "Nope, thats it. Thats all the parts and labor. Should take about half an hour". I say, ok not bad and sign it. about an hour later he comes back with nearly $2,000 worth of other things that need fixed so I can pass inspection. (…..but you said it wasnt going to go up…???) So, basically they blatantly lied to me. Had i known they would tack on an extra 2 grand I wouldnt have had them do anything. I was lead to believe that I was good to go after my emissions repairs. I will NEVER EVER go here again and would particularly warn any other single female from going here as well. ESPECIALLY with a "coupon". They WILL take advantage of you. PS- I only have 1 star because I had to- otherwise there would be 0 stars.

Horrible customer service, non existent professionalism, abhorrent lack of accountability. Im glad the bit of money you took today with no service is enough for you. Even though, the service to follow and an advocate of a customer wouldve made you thousands more in profit. Finding a trustworthy mechanic/shop is nearly impossible. I returned to you guys thinking a family owned, military vet touted name was something you would protect with honor. I knew this was likely to happen..I blame myself. But, my experience still disgusted me. Congrats on blowing my low standards out of the "water". Update: very dishonest, charged me for parts and service they did not do and messed up the service they did do and are very defensive and even argumentative about verifying the operation of the installation they did do after I told them my brakes are worse after being repaired and my e brake comes on when I press the brake pedal. $2000 in two weeks and at least four days of keeping my car for an entire day. The worst experience of my life.
