It is surprising to see that someone had issue with this daycare center. My daughter has been going to Holding Hands since I went back to work when she was 3 months old. I must say that she was a crier and I was afraid to leave her with anyone. From the moment that I placed her into the teachers hands, she smiled and was happy. The Director and teachers are like family to us. My daughter has learned so much being in this center. She is only 2, but I am afraid that when she has to go to kindergarten that she will be too advanced. This center is not like any other. I have another child who is older who has gone to daycare centers. This center is like a home where the child experiences love and compassion. Many of the children are advanced and the teachers that my daughter have been with are extremely patient. I prayed before I chose a daycare for my baby and I truly feel like God led me to this place. By this time when my son was young, I had to switch a few times. The love and care from this center is consistent. Any issues that arise, the Director is on top of it and resolves it immediately. She is always willing to communicate. Anytime that I have bought up any concerns which has not been many at all, the Director and her staff are on top of things. If I had 20 more children they will be going to Holding Hands Family Daycare in Laurel, Maryland. I hope that Ms. Talat expands her school so that children who are older are able to experience the rate of learning and love in an academic environment like the babies do. If you are considering daycares in Laurel, Maryland, come see for yourself, the care and attention that the caregivers/teachers give to the children is awesome. Also come see this beautiful center which is my daughters second home. Lauren E.

My wife and I experience with this daycare was to say the least, unpleasent. We used this daycare after my wife and I came off of Paternity leave and Maternity leave respectively in January. After a week we noticed that our daughters cheeks were dark on both sides and that she had been crying alot when we would go to pick her up. We didnt want to jump to conclusions because this was a new environment for her and we thought maybe she could be just getting darker (we are African American). We asked the owner at the daycare about it and of course they denied any fowl play. To err on the conservative side we scheduled an appointment with the pediatrician just in case it was abuse. On the morning which we were going to the pediatrician we noticed she had developed diaper rash. She never had diaper rash before ( she hasnt since). We became more concerned. The doctor confirmed that the marks were abuse. She said based on the marks it seems like someone has been squeezing her cheeks together really hard. Child protective services were called. The police and child protective services officer just basically did what we did, which was ask did they do it and looked around. They basically informed us that they could not confirm the abuse based on the invistigation. I do not recommend this place.

The words to describe this daycare are nothing short of amazing! I came to Laurel in the fall of 2014 to begin graduate school at Johns Hopkins University. I had to not only find a daycare for the day time but also a babysitter because most of my classes were at night. I went to every daycare in the city of Laurel, MD and Holding Hands was the best place for my 18 month old son. When I went to visit this daycare for the first time, Talat was very friendly and understanding of my situation. She offered to take care of my son after daycare while I was taking night classes for a nominal fee. My son has been going to this daycare for two years and he loves the facility, the teachers, and especially Talat! I recently was accepted to medical school in another state and I am saddened to leave this place and I wish that I could take Holding Hands with me. I miss this place so much!

My son was there from the time he was 3 months to 18 months.(I only removed him because we are moving out of state.) This place is amazing and they treat the children with 110% TLC. It is structured here and they always give you updates on your childs improvement. I had seen drastic changes in my son and what he now knows from learning his ABCs and numbers. Hes just one years old and he brings home work he did from that day. He also had lesson plans they sent home so you can see their daily schedule. They teach school things and also discipline, teach them how to be social and listen. It is very clean inside! They treat you like family! I was so sad to have to take him out, If I could pack this family and take them with me I would! They are very understanding and you can talk to them about anything. I recommend them 110%

I feel very fortunate to have found Holding Hands Daycare Center (HHDC). I have two children who have attend HHDC for three years (and counting). The daycare center is nice, spacious, and clean. I have found the director and teaching staff to be warm, creative, and caring to my precious babies (and me too). It is comforting to have my children in an environment that not only prepares them academically but also encourages social and personal development for my little ones. The director has been an invaluable resource. On many occasions I have consulted with her about the transition to solid foods, potty training, and so many other topics related to the development of my children. She always has a listening ear and provides meaningful responses/suggestions to my queries. I highly recommend Holding Hands Daycare Center!

Holding Hands Daycare Center (HHDC) is a wonderful daycare facility. It provided me, my toddler and my family the safety and security that helped make the transition from maternity leave to daycare a comfortable transition. My son was at HHDC since he was 4 months old - as a toddler, he saw HHDC as a home away from home. His teachers were kind, loving, patient, and tolerant which is the reason he felt safe and loved at this facility. Ms. Talat and her administration treat everyones child like "gold"; and take their responsibility towards providing a safe, nurturing and positive environment for all of the children, very seriously. I would definitely recommend HHDC to other families looking for a great and loving daycare experience.

Mrs. Talat Ismail, Director and Owner of Holding Hands Daycare Center, has been an integral part of my family’s life for over five years. She has provided her daycare services to us for each of my children starting from the age of 3 months old. They are now 8 months old, 3.5 years old, and 5.5 years old. Talat and her staff are warm, kind, and loving individuals. They provide a safe and warm environment for the children to spend their time each day. The staff is always available and ready to address any concerns a parent may have. My children have grown both personally and academically while under their care. HHDC is the only daycare I will ever take my children.
