PARENTS: PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE. EMPLOYEERS: PLEASE DO NOT WORK HERE. I should have writen this a while ago but by my good grace I decided not to, but it needs to be done. Ill start off by saying the mangmemt here is not good. There are many things that are being done that are not being done. There are also many things that are not being done that need to be done. The head Director of the Columbia center is a nice woman but she does not know how to divide her time being a boss and a friend. This leads to things being slid under the rug which should not be. One example being child abuse in the center. There is a staff member in the center that works/worked with the infant and toddlers. There had been Multiple times where she needed to be fired but things stayed the same. If others say otherwise they are lying. JIL Columbia also has way to many staff changes. This is common in the childcare industry but when good employeers, myself included, all leave for the same reason something needs to budge. I believe changes need to be done here or the center needs to get shut down. -M

Joy in Learning in Columbia has been caring for our children since 2013. Staff has always been helpful and courteous- and mindful of security. I rarely pick up our son, but one day recently did and the teacher did not recognize me. She told me I had to show her my drivers license before she let me take him to the car. I really appreciated that. They provide good activities and worked with us to help potty train our youngest last year. One more year and our children will have outgrown Joy In Learning, but we will forever be grateful for their care.
