It has taken me some time to actually post a review, but I eventually realized that as a parent reviews are VERY IMPORTANT to the overall health and welfare of our children. My son started as an infant at LaPetite in Waldorf when Mrs L was there and I loved the two wonderful ladies who were the infant teachers...as he progressed we decided to move over to Childtime by management was in disarray (one assistant was more concerned about commenting on the clothing and shoes little children were wearing to the center...interesting). We followed the long time director over to Childtime when my child turned two. It started off fine however, due to multiple lead teacher changes as a 3 yr old (Mrs Angel was a good 3yr teacher and highly educated but she eventually left the center bc she was moved to a different age to teach) and due to different personal issues with the center management, the directors absence began to be noticed around the center, the quality of "teaching", staff doing more socializing than anything...before we finally disenrolled our son, children who our son was with began to be disenrolled left and right... We finally wished up and disenrolled our son too.... soon after others in his class group left as well ...after he left approx. 4 more children left...so hopefully things will get better but from what I have heard from a parent who is still there...nothing really has...so move forward cautiously with this center...for your childs sake...

My son started going to Childtime in Waldorf when he was 3 months old (Feb 15). Hes our first (and only) child, so we did our research and got recommendations from friends & co-workers. Before we committed to Childtime, we took a tour of the facility and got to meet a few of the infant teachers. Everyone was welcoming, the classrooms were clean and well organized, and each age group had a daily activity/learning curriculum posted. Our experience thus far has been wonderful. My son had acid reflux and wasnt always easy to please. Each of the teachers took time to learn his likes and dislikes and now he has little baby friends and smiles when he sees his teachers in the morning. Knowing that my son is safe, happy, and well cared for when I drop him off at daycare is a great feeling. Childtime also uses an app called PreciouStatus - not only do I get notifications for bottles, food, diaper changes, and naps, but they also send me pictures of my son having fun throughout the day!

I have had many children in Childtime, as I was a foster parent and would frequently utilize this center, as I found it was the BEST in the area (through tiresome research). They have always been very caring and extremely interactive. However, since their long-time director left, I have noticed a change in the coverage (seems very chaotic and crowded in the mornings and the ratio of teacher to child seems far too high), however I realize that mornings can be challenging. The teachers seem to be very vested in the care of the children; I appreciate the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff members overall. They are a very young staff by average, but knowledgeable and full of hugs for the students! However, I am concerned about their "regulation allowable" ratio of 10:1 is troublesome because in a single class or 2-3 year old students, especially when you have 20 of them!

My 5 year old has been having a lot of problems since being enrolled there ie: getting bullied by other kids. The staff is unprofessional and inexperienced and I had an issue with an older child bullying my 5year old. I would not recommend this facility to anyone who want to have a peace of mind that your child is safe when u go to work or while your child is attending. I reported my issues to the staff numerous times and nothing was done I finally got fed up and reached out to the Area Director, who is never available. This is the second day care my child has attended, the first one was awesome and I had no issues I regret the change. I switched her because I wanted her to start pre k and the other facility didnt offer transportation. I would have scored this place a 0 but that obvious is not an option.

The teachers and staff at this Childtime location truly love and ADORE the children enrolled there. I truly feel like my son is going to his second home when we drop him off. When we moved to Maryland from out of state I was very concerned about how my son would fair through the transition. His teacher took him under her wing and loved and supported him through. He adjusted with ease! What a blessing. Their curriculum spans all areas one would expect at a daycare and then some. They cover everything from the basics of reading, writing, and math to social studies and science at levels appropriate for each age group. They have tons of fun doing it too! I highly recommend this school.

There are issues here massive issues. Two teachers have been fired for mistreating children. A lot of things kept from parents. Incidents go unreported, contain false information, or go unreported all together. Please be careful and talk to other parents before enrolling your child. There are some great teachers here but there are also a lot of questionable practices here, please do not let them fool you. Ask to talk to other parents who have children who have attended this school they will tell you the truth about why they left. This is an honest review if I could give 0 stars I would.

The staff at Childtime in Waldorf is truly a blessing. They are the ones that have the most impact in my daughters life aside from me and they take that responsibility very seriously. They care for her well-being and the well-being of other students just as much as I do as a parent. They ensure that there are always fun activities for the children but that they are learning at the same time. In light of the tragedy in Newtowne CT on Friday, December 14 I sent my daughter back to daycare the following Monday with 100% confidence in her safety at this center.

Our daughter has been going to Childtime since she was 3 months old and is now 9 months. She loves her teachers, friends and has made great progress while there. When I returned to work after maternity leave I was very concerned about her well-being but the staff at Childtime have been great and I no longer have those worries. We are kept up-to-date about her day through the Precious Status app and it is really great to get a picture of her sometimes during the day. I would recommend the Childtime for their great care for our baby!

My son has been going there for about 6 weeks now. He is always VERY happy when I pick him up and drop him off. He is in the infant room and they actually do REAL activities with them! He has painted twice! Ms. LyChel, the asst director, is always there if there is a concern and she is SO NICE! Shes the reason we signed up after the tour! We loved her energy! Ms. Delta and Ms. Casey in the infant room rock too!!!
