I took two pairs of my sons school uniform pants to Cappy Cleaners to have snap buttons put on instead of the metal latches that they come with. They didnt call me to tell me the pants couldnt be fixed on site so when I went to pick them up five days later they werent ready. They had them back in, four days after that. It cost 14 dollars which was fine with me, I just wanted to have it done. We tried them on to make sure the snaps were okay and they seemed tighter then when we got them. I looked at them up close and both pairs had been taken in about an inch. I didnt ask to have them taken in or given any sort of measurement. I was very upset. I called Cappys and they said bring them in and our daytime girl will be able to do it while you are here. My husband took them in to the store and the girl didnt want to do it and wasnt sure she could, so he left the one pair there and brought one home so we could use them because school had started. A few days later they were ready and I traded the other pair in. Same thing. The pants were back to normal now. Well by this time I had paid 14 dollars for those pants, 14 dollars to have a toddlers dress dry cleaned, and 11 dollars for my husbands pants to be hemmed. On a measure of good faith, I had my husband take his pants in, thinking everyone is allowed one mistake. Nobody even measured my husband and they guessed that they should be hemmed one inch and the pants are still too long. So sometimes they guess on measurements and sometimes I guess they just make up what needs to be done to pants, like taking in a 6 year olds school pants. I have spent 39 dollars in there and had one thing go right. I made 6 trips total at 12 miles each way and was feeling a little upset at this point. I was given the owners number to call because I wanted a refund or some compensation for time and gas and I still had to come back in to get my husbands pants fixed. When I spoke to him he said that the pants were never taken in by his company and that he saw them get the snaps in them himself and they were never taken in. I told him if they never took the pants in, why did they take them out for free? Do you do alterations for free? He then said " I didnt know you came back in" we went back and forth on this issue, I felt like he basically called me a liar about the pants being taken in. Then told me if my husbands pants were too long to bring them back. No apology, nothing. I asked him to apologize. I didnt get one. The prices are absurd, 14 dollars for a little girls dress to be cleaned give me a break. Everything that went wrong with my garments was my fault, that is how I was treated and I do not like it. I will never go back there ever again. I was offered no compensation, no refund, no apology, NOTHING!!!! And I was insulted that he didnt believe me about my sons pants being taken in. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!!! Trust me. I am going to report them to the BBB.

In April, I contacted Cappys about pressing linens for my sons wedding. I explained to the person that I spoke with when I could drop off the linens and she checked with the owner, who said they could handle the job. I called two evenings before the my drop of date to confirm and to inquire about the price and was told that someone would call me back the following day. The morning of the following day, I was told that because the owner said he would do the job, we were scheduled to move forward. A couple of hours later, I was informed that they could not handle the job. A company should not agree to provide a service months in advance only to cancel 4 days prior to the event! Very disappointed in Cappys and will be sure to let my friends and family know. Now, my son will have wrinkled lines at his wedding, which Im sure will look great in the photos! Thanks Cappys! We wont be rushing back!

Ive been a customer here for a few months and have always been very pleased with the service. I cant even believe what happened to me tonight! I went this evening to pick up my clothes. It was just a few minutes before they closed so I figured it would be okay to stay parked there while I went to a restaurant within walking distance. I have done this a couple times before and it had never been an issue. After I finished my dinner with my friends, I came to get my car and it wasnt there!! Turns out the owner had it towed! I couldnt even believe it! Wouldnt he think that some of his own customers would be customers of other surrounding businesses! Ill make sure I never do business with them and tell everyone I know what happened! Whatever happened to friendly business neighbors, absolutely ridiculous!

I have always been pleased with the service at Cappys. I had my wedding dress preserved and a bridesmaid dress altered there several years ago and from time to time several things dry cleaned. Recently I needed another dress altered. I was told their seamstress only works Monday and Wednesday from 10-12pm and longer if they are busy (2pm). I have a 9-5 job. I think its time you hire someone who is a little more flexible or you will continue to lose business. I even made it clear that I could not take off work just to get a dress altered and the best they could do was 2pm?? I have found another business to take care of my alterations.

I will never use them again!!! I took 2 coats to be sewn. It took 2 weeks for the work to be done and after paying $50 and taking them home, I realized that one had not had any repairs done to it AT ALL and the other looked like it had been sewn in a middle school home ec class! I returned the coats a second time and was told by the seamstress that she did the best she could but she would try again. She did make the coat look better but still definitely did not look like a professional job. I was very unhappy with the finished product and the customer service.

Ive taken several cashmere sweaters in to be repaired, because they had small holes in them, as well as a pair of fine woolen pants, and the work was excellent. I do recall a time when one sweater was poorly mended. I noticed it before leaving the shop, and the young lady at the front counter was shocked at the poor job, had it redone, and reduced the cost. Ive found them to be friendly, courteous, and reliable, and theyve saved me hundreds of dollars by repairing expensive clothing for just a few bucks. This is now my "go to" cleaners.

Best dry cleaner around. I wouldnt dream of going anywhere else. I drive from Harford County down to their Overlea location just for my dry cleaning. Ive had several delicate, vintage dresses cleaned by them and they took immaculate care of my garments.
