Last I knew, Wegmans sent all dry cleaning to The Mall Dry Cleaners in Triphammer Mall. We tried Wegmans for convenience and were sorely disappointed by the poor quality of the work -- clothing returned looking just as stained as ever. Furthermore, we found the prices expensive. Undeterred, I chose to take my items directly to the Mall Cleaners. I was acting under the assumption that if I made direct contact with the personnel who were responsible for the work, we discussed special needs at drop off and inspected at pickup that the level of service would improve. Essentially, I was expecting a neighborhood cleaners with pride of craft. I completely failed to accomplish my intent. The Mall Cleaners routinely destroyed my clothing. Their staff is trained at pressing my shirts within an inch of their life and cracking shirt buttons. They have broken over a dozen shirt buttons on five different shirts over a few months and take zero responsibility for their actions. I have had shirts cleaned for years with only the rare button cracked or dissolved. After it was clear the problem was systemic and not related to the age of my shirt buttons, I raised the issue with the staff at Mall Cleaners. I left one shirt for them to fix. When I returned they had attached unmatched buttons! I had more than one interaction with personnel who fail to take responsibility for their actions and believe the "customer is alway wrong." The Mall Cleaners is the single worst cleaners we have ever experienced, in any city, in an country, worldwide. In our experience, they charge the same prices as a premium quality cleaners in major cities, but deliver results far below the lowest common denominator in the same cities. Their poor performance record is not limited to cracked buttons. They have failed on many other accounts. The buttons are simply emblematic of their attitude and aptitude. They are unreliable, defiant, and completely hopeless in their service.

terrible service. rude employees. clothes covered in animal (?) hair after "cleaning". clothes with NEW STAINS after "cleaning". crooked creases. pants only halfway pressed. unreasonably expensive. my family has been in the dry cleaning business for nearly two decades. i know a good dry cleaning job when i see one - and i know what it looks like when people dont care and just rush a garment through the process without any concern for the final product. ive given the mall dry cleaners three chances to do my suits and shirts even halfway decently. as far as im concerned, theyve completely struck out. i would not recommend that you give them a chance.

Ive patronized the Mall Cleaners for two years and Ive finally hit the last straw. In those two years, I have received egregious customer service. When you walk in, you are greeted with a grimace and contempt. They have ruined two dress shirts and almost ruined a cashmere sport coat (another dry cleaner in Utica saved it). Ive brought mildly stained shirts to them that they claimed they could not remove (I believe they never tried) and then brought that same shirt to another dry cleaner who said "no problem." Indeed, it wasnt a problem. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

RUDE. A customer is NOT a first priority in this joint. Their downtown location is much more friendly.
