There are two storage places in Owings Mills, this one and another. I checked both out and rented with this one. First, Robert, the proprietor was very friendly and helpful. Second, this place was slightly cheaper. Third, this place is open an hour later at night for access. But most importantly, the 10x10 unit at this place had much higher ceilings. So, rather than being limited by a low 8 ceiling as in the other place, this place allows you to stack cartons higher, and get more bang for your buck. An extra few feet up in a 10x10 unit gives you a lot of extra cubic space to work with. Finally, Robert threw in a couple of pallets for free so my cartons did not have to sit directly on the concrete floor. Another advantage was this unit had a light installed in the ceiling with a pull cord, so I could see what I was doing in the unit at night. The other place had no light in its unit. If you are in Owings Mills, this is the better of the two options on Owings Mills blvd.

I called in advance and Aaron was waiting for me. He was cordial and informative. I must have asked a hundred questions. Yet, he answered each one and took me to see the proposed storage space. At first I was a bit wary of its location for safety and security reasons, but he addressed those concerns. He showed me the surveillance cameras, lights and explained the companys good reputation. I felt confident (thank you, Aaron!), and rented on the spot. I also got a good deal. I noticed that when going through the paperwork process, he was still able to tend and be respectful to others who came in with needs. A real people person. Smart, too! The premises were spotless, everything worked as it should. Theres even access to a restroom from inside the gate!! Inside, there are moving and storage supplies reasonably priced. I made a good choice choosing Extra Space Storage (Owings Mills).

The customer service was excellent from the moment I called the 1-800 number to inquire about storage to the time I actually rented the unit. The assistant manager was kind and patient, too. I get the impression that convenience and security for the customers are very important to the staff. I chose this company because they offered the most competitive rates online compared to two other units within miles. My only issue (that has nothing to do with the staff or the Owings Mills facility) is that I learned about the 1-time admin fee and the monthly insurance fee as I was renting the unit -- not before when I spoke to two employees on the phone at two different times. So, I was disappointed that the monthly fee advertised online was not the bottom line. I wish it had been more clear that there were fees prior to rental time.

I pulled into another more well known storage facility and luckily decided to look to Google for alternatives before going any further. I have used this other storage facility before, but have been aware there are better choices out there. I could not be more glad that I found these reviews. They really pointed me in the right direction. I needed a space to register a small business and this facility is EXCELLENT for this purpose or for personal storage. I was given a full tour and described everything very thoroughly. The facility is safe and efficient. The staff is very friendly. The prices are comparable to others, but slightly lower. As a small disclaimer, they do ask you to review them after signing up, but in this case I am very happy to do it. They want you to review them because they really are better.

From beginning to end, my moving experience with Extra Space Storage in Owings Mills has been a true joy. Its manager, Bob, is a person who truly and genuinely cares about the business he runs and treats his customers with such incredible generosity, consideration and kindness. From the moment Bob called to confirm my reservation and see if I had any questions, to today, when I arrived to dot all the storage is and cross the ts, I felt so truly appreciated and taken care of as a customer! I feel with absolute certainty that Ive chosen the best possible storage facility with the best possible human being to look after the well-being of the contents of the past several years of my life. Thank you so much, Bob, for making an experience as stressful as moving go so smoothly.

My mother and I are now moving all the stuff out of our storage unit weve had with Extra Space since early-to-mid 2010. Was for a long while the cheapest and most convenient storage unit available that my mother and I needed after we moved from one apartment to another. Despite unfortunately it becoming too expensive to continue storage business there based on our needs and with myself needing to store excess stuff now that Im back from college and out of my apartment in my college town, my mother and I received nothing less than wonderful, grade-A customer service, especially from Bob. Not perfect, but still pretty great! Definitely would recommend for anyone seeking to do business and store things with Extra Space!

I unexpectedly needed a storage unit, went to ESS in Owings Mills and met with Aaron Walker who was awesome from start to finish. Aaron not only exhibited knowledge about the units but he listened to my needs and helped me get exactly what was right for me. He also advised on other products that might help protect and preserve my belongings which I really appreciated. He took his time and did not rush me as I was unsure of everything i may need but made me feel comfortable and was patient. I was beyond pleased and satisfied with the outstanding level of customer service I received and ESS Owings Mills will always have my business with customer service on this level! Aaron was certainly First Class!

Pulled into Extra Space Storage on Saturday, sort of a last-minute thing, needed a storage space quick. The property manager puts you at ease right away with his earnest, friendly manner. They got me squared away quickly and gave me a good deal. I said to the managers assistant, "You people are really friendly." And they are. The property manager lives on-site, too, which I like. It means someone who cares about the place and the spaces within is there at all times. These are terrific people to deal with. The facility is super-tidy and clean. If you have storage space needs, Id say you can be confident in receiving good service and treatment at the Owings Mills Extra Space Storage.

One of the finest and my first preference for choosing a storage space. I did visit a couple of storage vendors before I short listed "Extra Space Storage" at 11002 Owings Mills Blvd. Very courteous and friendly customer service. Love the amenities and facilities they provide, compared to their competitors. Very well maintained property and professional customer support. Couldnt ask for more. If anyone is looking for storage space, I would request you to check out this facility before you conclude on your choice. You wont regret it one bit. Enough said, now try it out !!! Hope my review would help at least one customer in making his/her choice.

I previously had a unit at this location and was thrilled with the cleanliness and professional nature all staff showed me. Recently I had the need for a unit again, both Bob and Aaron were the definition of professional. I felt that no mater what issue that may crop up that they would be there to help me. I had my prior unit for about 1.5 years and in that time I never felt concerned about the security of my belongings. My climate controlled unit never had a water issue and I NEVER saw any other kinds of "pests", human or otherwise. I couldnt be any happier with my prior experience and know that my new unit is safe and secure.
