I recently had the entire exterior of my wood-sided house painted/stained by Sheldon and Sons. I am extremely happy with the job that they did. The estimate was thorough - giving total cost for three types of semi-transparent stain and three types of solid stain. They offer an interior decorator to help with choosing paint colors - she was excellent. The front office staff were helpful and friendly, they always knew who I was and what was going on with my job. When the time came to stain, an army of men showed up and they were done with two coats in a day and a half. The foreman, Mike, was excellent and took time at the beginning of the project to listen to my concerns and requests. Even though the crew was fast, they took the time to respect the landscaping, asked where they should wash their brushes and even told me about some standing water on my roof. I cant say enough about this company and their employees. I would absolutely use them again.

Dont do it! My deck just needed a fresh coat of paint. There were a few small (3"x3") places where the paint had peeled from high pressure washing so I called Sheldon & Sons. First of all, they did the estimate in early-mid May and the job wasnt completed until mid-July. Communication with me of when they were coming out to the house was terrible. They peeled back more paint to "dry those areas out" the small places turned into large peeled ones (6" x 18") and then they just painted over it so you can totally see where the peeled paint was. Worse of all, the paint completely bubbled up over these spots and others. Im assuming what the other review mentions about the latex and oil issue is true. I did call and complain but they came out once or twice and could not do anything about it. I paid them over $500 and now I will need to call ANOTHER company to strip the entire deck and re-paint everything which Im sure will be well over $1500.

I was looking for a painter to paint the exterior of my parents house and I chose Sheldon & Sons to do it. It wasnt a huge job, but rather a small one. My parents house has the old asbestos siding panels and they had been painted once before. The front of the house gets more sun than the other 3 sides and as a result it had faded. All of the trim is wrapped in aluminum, so what I needed was to have just the siding panels on the front of the house painted to match the other 3 sides. The owner ..Scott...met me at the house to give me an estimate. The price was very reasonable. They did the job in one day and its perfect! They came when they said they would, in & out, and did a great job. I would use them again for sure!

Sheldon & Sons has been a trusted and reliable painter-contractor for us the last 8 years. Over that time, theyve painted the exterior, interior, painted our deck,(we had no issues w/ this job), and did some drywall work on our bedroom ceiling when we had serious water damage. Replacing the drywall was a bonus, as I thought Id have to get a carpenter to replace before painting. From our experiences, Id highly recommend. Pricing was reasonable, job completed in timely manner, they clean up each day, and Sheldon/Sons can do more than just paint, as I found out w/ water damage repair. Leigh - Mar 16,2012

What a pleasant experience. We just had interior and exterior painting done by Sheldon and Sons and cant say enough good things about the crew who did our work. The painters were polite, meticulous and very neat. Our home looks great with freshly painted ceilings on the lower floor, painting and drywall repairs in the sun room, freshly painted Master and hall bathrooms, and painting, caulking and repair of exterior Palladium window and door mill work. One of the most stress free contracting experiences weve ever had. Recommend highly!

We recently hired Sheldon & Sons to stain our entire cedar house and deck. The previous owners had put varnish on it and this had to all be stripped off first. The team from Sheldon & Sons did a fantastic job with every phase of this project from scraping, to washing, to staining. The house looks beautiful and I owe it all to Sheldon & Sons. Scott and the crew that came to our place were outstanding from start to finish. They treated our home with respect, and did an outstanding job. The recommendations of color schemes was also top notch. Excellent job! Weve used them more than once and will use them again when the time comes! I really cant give them enough praise. It can be tough to find honest and dependable contractors, but when you do... it sure makes things easy!

They are professional, timely and do a great job. They take jobs all sizes and I plan to continue to use them in the future. My only reason for 4 stars is their receptionists could improve their phone etiquette...nothing to do with the painting.

Cant wait to have them paint my bedroom. I took advantage of the free hour consultation with their decorator Connie Matsumoto and she was fabulous.
