My experience after being referred to Rumors Salon by a friend and visiting for ~6 months: Rumors Salon is close to home, making it convenient. The stylists are also friendly and do their best to accommodate clients; however, there are two areas Rumors Salon lacks and a repeat customer will experience soon enough -- the disorganized front desk and the small uninviting waiting area. As stated, I have only been a customer for ~6 months, and in that short time my appointment (which is just a mens haircut) has been incorrectly booked twice. Both times when I called to verify my appointment (because I had not received a customary confirmation call the day before) there was no appointment in the system according to the receptionist -- even though I made my appointment the previous visit AND was given an appointment reminder card (filled out by the receptionist). Another time my appointment was simply moved to another stylist without informing me (the reason was due to my normal stylist going to a hair event in NYC). Regarding the waiting area, if its not busy or your stylist is on time, you should be fine. The waiting area is small though, and only has 2 antique looking chairs and an accompanying couch (the couch might seat 3, but would be awkward if the people didnt know each other). The small size and lack of seating does not help to make a customer feel invited or welcome, even after youve been there a couple of visits. I would accept the lack of professionalism and space from an economy salon, but when youre paying a premium because youre expecting a better experience... the additional cost isnt justified.

Nasty attitude and poor quality. Scheduled pedicures and a manicure for myself and members of my bridal party (after several messages and failed call-backs, during which time they insisted I was scheduling a childrens birthday party). Mother-in-law decided she couldnt make it on the day of, so when i was checking out I asked if the price could be adjusted as one member had cancelled, the owner came over and snarled, "Yeah, they cancelled on the day of!". I can think of more polite ways to say, "Im sorry we have a 24-hr cancellation policy". The next day we had hair appointments scheduled at About Faces in Canton. not only did they have to fix the shoddy manicure job done the day before by Rumors that had already chipped (they fixed it for free!), when the mother-in-law cancelled again, they didnt charge me, saying kindly, "These things happen!". Save your money and your sanity. Avoid at all costs.

I have been to this salon a few times. Nothing to spectacular, its close to home and they preform the services I would be in need of. I called three weeks ago to set up an appointment to get myself ready for a wedding that was coming up. The appointment was made, at that time, with my understanding that I would be coming in the day before the wedding to receive the treatments I desired. Three days prior to my appointment the salon called to cancel me because they were overbooked. That is unacceptable! I called well in advance and last minute that canceled on me! This is not the first time this has occurred. Once is excusable, Twice! Im not going back. That was unprofessional and it will cost them!

Ive been going to see Nicole for several years now. She always takes care of my hair and waxes any unsightly facial hair. Ive gone from short to long hair multiple times with her and shes always amazing. Ive had several color jobs done from her, also beautiful, but mostly I remain natural. I have cork screw curly, thick hair and she cuts it to accent my curls. I have recommended her to my mother and neighbor and now she is their go-to stylist. My mother also gets pedicures from another lady there, I believe her name is Christina, but Im not certain, regardless she is always happy to visit her.

Ive been coming to this salon for many years and I love my hair stylist so much. She does a wonderful job every time and really listens to what I want done. I tried a manicure this time and was very disappointed with my experience. I got the shellac manicure and there was a bubble in my one nail. The other thing that really upset me was the technician did not use the cuticle clippers to clean up the dead skin around my nail. I will definitely be coming back for my hair and my hair only.

I was referred to Nicole at the beginning of the year, and Im so glad I started coming here. When I started going, I had long hair(down to my waist), and I got it cut to my shoulders. She did and always does a wonderful job, and does it exactly how I show her. I highly recommend her. Everyone here is so sweet, and everyone is really friendly. I even enjoy getting my hair shampooed because my scalp gets massaged(shout out to Carrie). Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

Ive seen quite a few of the stylists here and they are great. Ive seen Katie quite a few times, as well as Kim and others. They are always really nice and very accommodating. Out of 2 years going there regularly, I have only been disappointed once and they let me come in and they fixed my hair for free and did a great job. Love them and will continue to see them!

My first experience at Rumors was a great one! My stylist Britney was on time, very friendly, and wasnt afraid to attempt a challenging color change ( from dark brown to bright blonde)! I was more than satisfied with my results and cant wait to go back to see her!!!
