Sophia does good work. Great bald fade, she actually got me down to skin. The bald part of the fade was silky smooth! I was pleased with what I saw. Ive gone once, but the store was clean, air conditioned and the Asian staff spoke enough English to get the job done. There are TVs. They wiped my head with a warm wet towel afterwards (which I liked). But beware, this town has a lot of prejudice against black people. Many people act uncomfortable and fearful of blacks. Lots of ignorance. Youll encounter people avoiding you, and staring at you. So basically, lots of racial profiling. Many people in the town are antisocial, and ignorant towards people of color. One weird thing about this community is, they love to yawn at black people. Ive noticed so many people go out of their way to look at me and yawn (and vice versa). Are you all tired? They must have sleep disorders.... MANY FAKE PEOPLE. Dont say I didnt warn you..... Update 8/23/2016: Went back again and Wendy gave me so much attitude over the way she cut my hair. She got angry and aggressive with me. She failed to do what I asked and she got angry after I pointed this out. I spoke with the manager, and she just brushed it off. Wendy tried to yank the mirror out of my hand. She has anger management issues. They are lucky I didnt feel like calling the cops... Wendy might have been in a jail cell that day. Update 8/30/2016: Still upset, decided to file a complaint with the Maryland Attorney General. Update 9/9/2016: Went back (I get weekly haircuts & other shops have similar issues). Got a personal phone call from the owner, Dimitri (he may spell it differently). He told me the women are good at their jobs, and explained how my review was bad for business... I explained to him that my review was truthful and that my experience with Wendy was egregious, and unacceptable. Also, Dimitri requested that I alter my review (he winked at me). Dimitri offered to personally cut my hair for free today. I accepted, but declined to alter my review. He was disappointed and told me "do what you want." Dimitri, Im not against re-rating your store. I initially, gave your business a 4 star review. However, when I became a repeat customer, problems arose that damaged your rating. Furthermore, since the incident, Wendy likes to snicker, giggle, and laugh with other customers when I turn my back to her. Shes a troublemaker. She thinks this situation is not serious and handles it like a game (which is a reason I havent dropped it). Moreover, this store has a small african american clientele. Wendy behaves as if she is racist and bigoted towards me. I see her smile and get touchy with generally any race that isnt black. She discriminates by picking and choosing who she doesnt give attitude to. For example, she is very sociable and friendly with white or fair skinned men (south americans, asians, latinos). I see her do this every time I visit. So many people in this town hate their own race, and bend over backwards for white or fair skinned people. Its so sad. So no Dimitri, a free haircut (I cant be bought) and a 5 minute chat will not compel me to delete or change your rating. The worse Wendy behaves, the more passionate I become about solving this problem. I hope you understand the result of one bad barber, and realize she is bad for business (not the honest review that you deserve). Your shop earned 4 stars initially, now it needs to do so again or more...

Hit or Miss. When theyre on, they are ON (one of the best cuts Ive gotten in my life) but when they suck, they are the WORST. Last time I was in there I had to immediately go out and buy 4 new hats, because I knew I would need to wear a hat for the next couple of weeks. Well, its been three weeks and my hair still isnt long enough again to get my hair fixed. Im guessing maybe two more weeks? I walked in with 5" of hair, asked for a "trim", and walked out with a 0.5" USMC high and tight. (I have a weird shape head...its why I like having hair.) All in all, this last haircut cost me over $100, after paying $20 for the bad haircut, and I got a great deal at Kohls around the corner where I got 4 hats for ~$80! I dont think Id ever go back. If you wanna risk your haircut, try them! You might love it, or you might become a hatter?

Stay away. I tried out the place b/c of the excellent ratings by others. I agree the barbers are kind and friendly and the atmosphere is nice, but isnt a good cut important? The greek guy Dimitri cut my hair in about 5 minutes...which is pretty steep for $15 bucks. I think he spent more time massaging my head and shoulders than my haircut. He was too dependent on the trimmer and didnt use shears enough. Plus, he sliced my ear with the straight edge. The cut was alright, but I would reccomend checking out a different shop to find a barber that spends his time. Btw, I went at noon on a weekday when there was no customers and no reason to rush.

I know for a fact that Dimitri does not do 5 minute haircuts. I have heard him tell his barbers that there is not to be ANY rush cuts. I am not happy that people can put a review and lie like that. I have been knowing and going to Dimitri for 41/2 years at traville and went to him at his previous barber shop. He takes time with his clients and makes them feel very special. He has NEVER done a 5 minute haircut and yes it is nice that even a busy barber shop will take time to massage shoulders. BEST PRICES and best service along with the popcorn and lollipops and delicious coffee to wash it down

Dimitri has cut my hair for 5 years. He is friendly and excellent. This is a man who takes pride in his business. Ask him about fishing in the Bay. This is an old time feeling barber shop. They all do a great job. The include extra touches, head, neck and shoulder massages, in addition to a great hair cut for a competitive price. I have seen a fair number of children for cuts and they are very patient.

Marie and Peggie did a good job. Tim seemed careful but after i had paid and tipped, my wife noticed the back didnt match up. When we asked Tim to fix it, he got snotty. He began cutting without the courtesy of covering my neck or shirt, getting hair all over me. The other guy, the owner, noticed me brushing my shoulders after and used a lint roller to help. So, depends who you get.

+ First time here, great haircut. Blended very well, no awkward spots. + I was serviced right as I walked in, they had about 7 people working on a Sunday + Only $15 + tip. - None of the barbers seemed particularly talkative, though. I believe mine only spoke a little English. Overall, I will definitely be coming back for my next haircut.

Very quick haircut, but the other reviews threw me way off. Was expecting a more unique experience. I paid $20 and got an ok haircut to get me by until I find a real barber. I would much rather pay an extra $20 and get the real deal barber experience. Also my hair looks nothing like how I wanted it, but itll do for now.
