While on my way, driving from NY down south, I lost my brakes due to a major brake leak. I pulled off of 95 and found myself in the middle of Silver Springs Maryland. The next morning I spotted 2 repair shops. I am a former owner of a Meineke franchise, so my 1st thought is always, go to Meineke. After receiving NO help from the management at Meineke, I preceded to head to Aamco, across the street. Well, to my delight, I was greeted warmly by the manager, Able. After I explained what happened he most graciously asked that I bring the van over and he will help me. At last, a kind person who wants to genuinely help. I can tell, being in the business for a long, long time when a person knows how to speak, treat others, run a shop well, able to juggle all that it takes to run a busy, successful shop. Able, is the man! He had not one, but two of his associates look at the van, only to discover I needed 2 metal brake lines replaced to safely head back on the road. At that point he then gave me a written quote, before any work was started (perfectly done). I agreed to the quote, which was a very fair price (knowing first hand how tedious and time consuming this job is). He pulled the van in and his associate, Blaise, worked diligently for several hours and did a wonderful job! I never write reviews, but when I receive exceptional performance from start to finish, I feel compelled to let EVERYONE know just how happy and satisfied I am. Every time a hit my brake, I am reminded of how I was taken care of by Aamco of Silver Springs Maryland.....thank you to the WHOLE team! PS - (To the owner of this franchise) I watched every one of the employees as the day went by and with my critical eye as a repair shop owner for 35 years in the business, I can honestly say your entire crew is incredible... I did not see one guy throughout the day wasting any of your money. They worked well individually and as a team. They were focused and knew their individual jobs....bravo to you. I was quoted one price, then given a higher price when work was done. Staff in front office RUDE N UNPROFESSIONAL. Unable to pay the higher price my car was left there. They STOLE all my belongings out of my car and would not allow me access to the car until a lawyer interceded on my behalf. Filed a police report, called/emailed main company. Contacted BBB which this business is NOT a member. BE FOR WARNED. DO BUSINESS HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Went in for an oil change knowing I had a leaky radiator, but they recommended I replace it due to the fact that the engine block could go at any moment due to the fact that the radiator wasnt doing much of anything. Long story short, they gave me a killer deal I know I wouldnt find anywhere else in town. $300 for oil change and radiator replacement combined! Will be coming back for routine maintenance in the future.

Took my car here thinking that I had a transmission issue when my car started making weird noises. I was told I needed a new transmission that would cost $2100 (or $1700 for a used one). As a broke grad student, I did not have that kind of money on hand. So, I took the car back and then took it to a different shop. Turns out it was my timing belt, a $480 fix!!!! Needless to say, Ill never go back to this Aamco again.

They dont try to oversell you on anything and their prices are fair. Usually what they quote you is what they will charge. They also have no problem trying to squeeze you in and seem to make an effort to really give you quality service. I love this place!
