I always wanted to go to this salon because it seemed so high end and chi-chi. I needed to get my nails done for my wedding so I thought it be perfect trial of the place. I was wrong. The nail person did not have white gel polish for French tips. I should have walk out then; however, I continued the appointment. The quality of the polish started chipping and cracking by day three and by day four one came completely off. I have gotten my nails done before and this has never happened. Also I was frustrated by the front desk staff. When I came in I asked about the point system and they said that I would get information about it when I left my appointment; however, when I was leaving I asked about it and they said because I got my nails done that no points were available. Contradictory information makes me annoyed. It is like they dont stand by their nail representative. It should be under the same system if they consider it a part of their business. They should take action to make sure that show they care about the customers using that service. I do not like wasting money and this place is the epitome of that.

I have been going to Leah for quite a while now. Shes always able to bring my vision to life. Ive been rose gold, magenta, plum, and now shades of purple, blue and teal and it all looks awesome thanks to Leahs amazing skills. My hair was in terrible shape when I first went to her and it has grown so much in such a short time. I want to add that I move around a lot for work and when my job took me to NC for 3 months I drove 5 hours to keep on schedule with her... YES. She is that good.. Also everyone else at Alchemy has been great. From the check in staff to shampoo assistants etc, there has been nothing but warm greetings and what I believe to be a genuine interest in knowing their clients.. Go to Alchemy and see Leah. Just go :-)

I LOVE Jodi! She always makes sure that my curly hair gets a great cut. She always listens to what I want and she makes sure that my hair gets the treatment I need. I get the Deva cut, which is a must if youre a curly girl in my opinion, and my hair always looks great not only immediately after the cut but also while it is growing out. And the shampoo experience also needs to be mentioned here. I have no idea how long it actually lasts because I feel like Im just melting and floating away while they massage my head. It is pure bliss. So, in short, if you have curly hair, you should go to Jodi at Alchemy Salon. Shell keep you from looking like some new mushroom form and will instead make you look like you stepped out of a magazine.

I drive from Capitol Hill to get my hair cut every two months by Jody; she has been cutting my hair for several years. Jody is AMAZING. I have curly hair, and she always makes it look its best. I get a regular cut (though Jody can do Deva cuts), and it always looks great. Shell listen to me and cut what I want, but shes also creative and can design looks that suit your face, personality, and maintenance time. The atmosphere in the salon is calm and relaxing, and I feel like Im pampered when I go. Everyone is friendly, and the owner seems to be really invested in professional development for everyone--from the shampoo person to the advanced stylists.

Its been a long and very enjoyable six months with Megan! She has transformed my hair from dull and lifeless to a vibrant bronde! I had previously seen other colorists at different salons and I will never go back. Over the past six months Megan has revived my hair - it finally looks healthy again, and I couldnt be more thankful. All of the staff here make the experience great, I recommend everyone I know to come here!

My haircut with Gwen was great. As a guy I am used to most barbers being somewhat rough while using and electric razor for fade and shape up but Gwen was not only amazingly gentle but also very meticulous with her scissor work. I was really amazed at her skill level. Of course this also translated to a great haircut that I was very happy with and will absolutely be returning!

They recheduled my first appointment at the last minute for the next day. Then when I arrive and sit in the chair, the stylist tells me she tells me she cant do a fade... A Salon cant do a simple fade?!? Maybe its because Im Latino.... oh, and if you offer coffee to other customers, you should offer it to all. But this could go back to the Latino thing.

Devon is amazing!!! Im very picky when it comes to my hair and normally im never satisfied worth my hair cuts but this was the absolute best hair cut ever. She really listened to what I had in mine and executed it perfectly.

This is a great hair salon if youre looking for a chic place to get a quality cut or color, but dont want to pay outrageous prices. Jenny is great!
