What a fiasco! I called my warranty company who dispatched MaeDae Electric. The man who came out said "I aint never worked on one of these before." He proceeded to dismantle the ceiling fan, and determined the motor control board was defective, which we knew to begin with. He said he would have to swap the fan. When I informed him there was a part available to fix it, he then said Ok and put the fan back together incorrectly. When my wife said it was not assembled correctly, he said since they had to come back out with a part, he would just leave it that way. She made him re-assemble the fan properly. Repeated calls to MaeDae were made to find out what was going on, over the period of about two weeks. Calls to American Home Shield revealed a part was ordered. Then, after all this, MaeDae refused to come back out saying the fan motor was under warranty and they couldnt work on it. That, after they told me when we started the whole thing that they worked on these all the time. The confusion, the lack of communication, and the lack of professionalism on the part of the tech they sent convinces me I wont use these people again.

I recently had occasion to have some electrical work done around my home. I was intrigued by the name MaeDae Electric since I had served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Communications Officer and was very familiar with the term May Day. So rather than distress about my electrical mess, I called MaeDae Electric and spoke with Alex Ellison. Alex came to my home, reviewed my electrical needs with me and provided a written, and very reasonable proposal. Within a week the work was accomplished by Jason, who arrived as scheduled, reviewed with me exactly what he was going to do….and proceeded in an orderly fashion to complete the work professionally and in a timely manner. Jason did an outstanding job from start to finish, cleaning up as he went along. I will not hesitate to use MaeDae Electric in the future and highly recommend them to anyone in need of electrical services done professionally and at a reasonable price.

I had a problem with wiring the sump pump outlet. The work was done quickly and efficiently. However, I was unable to obtain from the company such a simple thing as receipt for my money, and general paperwork including work description, warranties, disclaimers, etc. In anticipation of selling the house, I need all this stuff. I called three times to the electrician, one time to manager, and received only OKs and no actions. I plan now to submit an official complain to consumer protection law enforcement agency in Rockville. They repeatedly helped me in the past, and I hope for help again

Great experience with the technician but terrible experience with the company. They came out from our warranty and said they couldnt diagnose the issue and would have to cut holes in the wall to continue which is not covered. We unfortunately had to be on hold with the warranty company so I let the technician go which was the worst mistake. The company then lied about the root cause of the issue to say it was not covered at all by our warranty and lied to me saying they needed approval to come back out. This is a dishonest company and I will never be using them again.
