I cant give them a negative star so...I went in this afternoon to sign up since it had the most decent reviews of L.A. Fitness in the area and I was a member when I live in CA. I stood there for about ten minutes completely ignored by several staff who were busy chatting...and who basically continued looking at me AND continued chatting. Evidently seeing me walk up and stand at the front desk (which was empty) patiently look around in their direction was not enough... I maybe was supposed to yell and tell them I needed help. Er...not when I am going to be paying you a fee for a service... first impressions are key so...I just drove down to Merritt. Is it more expensive? Yes, BUT they were sure happy to see me, give me a tour of their club and give me a free two week trial membership.

Im a "Lifetime Member",something that was transferred over from Ballys Fitness when they were bought out. It was nice that they grandfathered in the customers but def didnt continue to offer the lifetime memberships to new customers. Great gym,they all are mostly the same. Even Merritt where your basically giving a blood donation each month with outrageous fees are still dirty in bathrooms etc. its a staff issue at most of these gyms,they not representing the company as a whole well,but I also assume the staff isnt making a ton of money on sanatation duties. You kinda get what you pay for in this world.

Never, never, never sign up for a gym membership at LA Fitness. If you ever move or just want to stop going to their gym, they make it IMPOSSIBLE to cancel your membership. You cant cancel it over the phone, you cant cancel it online. You have to go, IN PERSON, to an LA fitness, where they give you a piece of paper that you then have to MAIL back to LA Fitness. Making it this difficult to have them stop charging your credit card should be ILLEGAL. This is a horrible business and I dont care if it is the only gym within a thousand miles: I will never go to an LA Fitness again.

Gym is nice. When equipment isnt working, they have a repairman there within 2 days to fix it. For the most part the open area is kept clean. As for the womens bathrooms and showers...Disgusting! Id give the gym 4 stars if it wasnt for this. Mold on Shower curtains Trash and hair left in showers Floors are always dirty Counters and sinks not clean Trash overflowing The last cleaning "girl" was mopping with black water 1/3 filled bucket. I suggested she change the water and she just looked at me. p Just to name a few.

This is a brand new LA Fitness in Towson but sorry guys their parking is Horrible. By the time I find a spot to park my car, my workout time is over. Its also hard to get to this gym because the traffic is crazy in Towson downtown. I like to join a gym where its easy to get in and get out and not feel like I have to go to a circus everyday. I wish they would have opened this facility some where on Joppa road or in Timonium instead of being in the heart of Towson.

AIT Class

It was my first day and no one was at front desk, someone came after a while and after signing up I asked him to show me around since it was my first day and he just made excuses. Went in and all the machines were taken and I came back home without doing anything. Parking is also an issue there and its not a place when you can open a Gym. Not going again to waste time!

This is the first gym I have joined and there is never anyone on the floor to help you or ask questions I have to walk back to the front desk, also I have never heard of a $149 enrollment fee to get a trainer , thats crazy , why would I give $149 away just to enroll and them still pay to have a trainer , Also why are there not any private changing rooms makes no sense

Not clean - in work out areas or bathroom areas. No requirement to wipe off equipment or use a towel. Temperature during this summer is hotter than outside temp of 91° which is impossible to exercise safely. LA Fitness in Towson is fantastic but White Marsh location is the opposite. Want to throw away money, join. If you go to Towson then join, thats 4 stars.

It would be nice if the staff at the front desk be little welcoming. Smiling gesture at least. I dont like the feeling coming to the gym and waiting for the staff to have me checked in. Everyone is always talking on the phone almost everytime. Even if it has nothing to do with me, either its a part of their job or anything else, but its kind of annoying.

I am loving this gym so far in terms of equipment, amenities and class offerings. It is genuinely everything I need. The front desk girls (some I suppose) can be extremely passive and basically ignore incoming clients. I got the most ingenuine hello yesterday but who cares I guess if the equipment is fantastic and the trainers are great. Good prices too.

Just changed their Saturday hours so theyre only open until 8 pm rather than 10. Smoothie/drink/supplement stand closes at 2 pm Saturdays and closed all day Sundays so for the majority of the weekend operating hours you cant even purchase a bottle of water. For $35 a month? I dont know who runs this place but theyre providing a pretty sub-par service.

Save yourself the drive if your looking for space on the basketball court to play. One small indoor basketball court with 30 people or more on there at any time waiting to get on and play. Sigh.... eternal space misused with machines no one else is even on instead of having two or more basketball courts for people to actually play.

Careless staff , its my day 2 here and jasmine one of the trainer have already cancled my one hour personal assessment session twice . The guy on the front desk was busy talking on phn flirting with someone. When i ask if i can see general manager they said he was not even there. No one seems interested in what they are doing..

Nice big gym with almost all of the equipment you would expect in a gym, but they dont clean the place well. Its typical to find hairballs and dust bunnies on and under the equipment. You may or may not have paper towels, toilet paper or seat covers available to use. Sometimes you have to use the seat covers as toilet paper

The gym is nice and clean. Its never super crowed when I go at 6 so I can use any of the cardio machines I want which is great. The front desk girl here leaves a little to be desired, especially since they are so friendly at other locations. Id rather be able to just scan myself in than wait for her, but what can you do?

Ike Williams is an honest man. His conflict resolution ability and personality are exceptional. Instead of trying to sell me a more expensive plan, he explained the benefits of what I currently have, and offered genuine advice. He is the type of person I would make director of operations in my company.
