4 years ago, I made a move of a distance of 7 miles. The movers were recommended to me by a friend as being good and inexpensive. They were energetic, but had no idea how to handle fine wood furniture, good oriental rugs, etc. Much of my furniture arrived scratched at my new home. Since they had under-estimated the size of the move, both the time spent and the amount I had to pay for their supplies was a lot higher than Id allotted. Having learned my lesson, I asked A-Plus to come to my current home and review my moving needs. I also asked all the hard questions, such as: how did they handle rugs on the floor and their shoes,when they had to move the furniture off of the rugs how did they prevent scratching sanded floors- in both my current housing and my next home did they use packing tape directly on the wood was there any protection to the wood furniture once it was packed into the truck I was SO PLEASED with the results. The estimate we were given was accurate, the movers were polite- to each other as well as ourselves,efficient, and most importantly, respectful of our belongings. They made a point of showing us scratches in the furniture prior to wrapping each wood piece with clean moving blankets,they carefully wrapped all our fine china and crystal, they looked for ways to save us money as they moved pieces( they, like many moving companies charge by the hour), while still making choices that were careful of the furniture as well as themselves. I never once felt like my furniture was in jeopardy, and the final price for the move, including supplies rented or purchased through them, came in lower than wed paid for our previous move. I was so pleased with their work, that I am now talking to them about moving the rest of my belongings which have been in storage in another state, to my new home. I saw a review warning on "YELP" about paying people to write reviews. Not sure how that evolved, but I hope it doesnt scare people away from a good company. Id done a thorough investigation of this company 4 years ago as an alternative to the company I ultimately hired. The only reason I hadnt utilized their services was because they were unavailable on the date I had to move. I am so glad we could work together this time.

This is the second Time Ive used them. The first time they were great. Timely and professional. This time was a different experience. They finally showed up an 1hour fifteen minutes past the hour window they gave me. I had to call them to see when they were actually arriving. They were quick and efficient when they finally showed up. Not a lot to move and only five-eight minutes down the road to the next location. They pulled out in front of me after I gave them quick directions. Seriously one right after an intersection then my place is on the left. 5 minutes. Im at the second location. 30/40 minutes later no truck! Its a five minute drive. That I just drove after leaving behind them! Ive called three times once every 10 minutes. No answer and no response from my messages. Just answer the phone or respond saying they are on the way or they somehow got lost within the 5 minute drive ! Anything. Im paying by the hour. An extra 30/40 minutes matters. The actual movers were fine but the phone customer service horrible. It would have been four stars even with delay but three stars for the lack of communication and response to my calls. I honestly felt like I was being taken for a ride until they finally showed up

I researched moving companies in the Boston area online before my move from a two bedroom apartment in Jamaica Plain to a three bedroom single family home in Quincy and I came across A-Plus Moving & Storage. After reading through their reviews and having gotten some astronomical quotes from other movers, I decided to give A-Plus a call and get an estimate from them. Their quote was more reasonable and affordable, and Mike the owner who I dealt with on the phone was very patient and informative of how the whole process would go, so I went ahead and booked the job with them. I was stressed because of the scale of the move and also because I needed full packing and a quick turn around on everything, but working with Mike and the crew who moved me on the day could not have been easier. They were professional, punctual, courteous and very accommodating to my needs. They helped make sure what I thought was going to be a stressful and hectic experience instead go off without any glitches, making it as painless as possible under the circumstances. I will definitely be using this company again in the future if I move.

When my fiancé and I scheduled movers we didnt realize we also need to schedule the loading dock at our apartment building(one were moving out of). We just thought it was first come first serve. But someone else scheduled the dock during that time. So we were arguing with management, the A-plus mover guys had already started moving our stuff to the truck, it took some time but they were able to somehow convince the management to allow them to stay and finish the job, thank God! This mistake set us back about an hour, but it was our fault & they knocked it off the bill for us. They seemed to be moving pretty fast getting everything wrapped up and moved out. They said it will be even quicker to move everything in, however it took much longer than we anticipated and we didnt quite understand why. At the end of the day, we were stressed and exhausted from a long weekend of moving, we couldnt have done it without them, those 3 moving guys busted their butts so we gave em each an extra $20 because thats all we could afford.

A-Plus helped my son move recently from Boston to New Jersey. Their service was great! Both CJ and Josh were very friendly and helpful and booking a time for the move with them was a stress free experience. 2 days before the move date they called to confirm the time. This was a pleasant surprise as it is usually the customer that has to call to make sure that they movers will show up. The movers, Eddie and Rob, showed up on time and they were very friendly and efficient. We had some issues with parking on a busy street but Eddie took the initiative and went to speak to the neighbors and ask for their help in moving their van so that Rob could skillfully park the truck in a way that would not interfere with the heavy traffic. The contents from our 2 bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor were loaded into the truck in less than 2 hours. Unloading was just as quick. We had a very good experience with A-Plus Movers and would use them again. We highly recommend them!!! I would give them 6 stars if I could.

I loved A Plus Moving Customer service is on top. The representative makes you fell important. He is very kind and polite. I moved from one studio to another studio so that was not the prime move for them, but i really appreciate their customer service, this moving company really takes care of their customers. I was assigned with two movers. The movers arrived on time and got straight to the work. The entire move took no longer than 2-3 hours. The movers also disassembled and reassembled the bed for me. During the entire move the crew were polite and friendly. They also did their job professionally. Also, A Plus movers were very direct on their price. No hidden charges, the estimate from their website was almost the same as a final cost i paid. I think their rates are reasonable, especially for the quality the movers provide. Overall, if i would need to move in future ill definitely hire this movers one more time. Good pricing, professional movers and great customer attitude
