I hate to write such a negative review, but this is to warn all my future colleagues should they be looking for a place to print their artwork for conventions like Anime Boston. First and foremost, the gentlemen working at Sir Speedy are lovely people. However, they have failed to meet my expectations for a professional print shop. I was attending Anime Boston as an exhibiting artist and wanted to print locally to save costs. I called in a week beforehand to get a quote for 100 sheets of 80lbs cardstock, full bleed. The quote was $68. I showed up on Friday of said convention at an invoice of $500+ for 300 sheets and over half of my files missing. The file upload process through the website was simple enough, but the only confirmation for my print order was an automated email with a list of my files (which many were missing, but I didnt realize it would be an issue.) My package had 2 of my files missing even though they were listed on my actual invoice. The email said I would receive communication from the staff soon to make sure everything is ok. There was no communication. When I was presented with the invoice, I was told that it was in fact $3+/sheet for cardstock, and that I didnt clarify to them on the phone that I wanted cardstock. They unnecessarily explained to me the difference between cardstock and regular paper, and then proceeded to tell me theres a $5/cut fee. Total cutting fee came to $60+ because it was a "DIFFICULT JOB" and that it took them "AN ENTIRE DAY". Quality of print is average. On the same Friday I had a friend with me who needed to do last minute printing for the same convention. She printed 45 sheets and received an invoice of $80+. She declined the full bleed option because they said it would have taken them 4+ hours to cut. Since cutting is "A DIFFICULT JOB". Note: they repeated this line themselves multiple times. The owner tried to chat with us about comics and praised our artworks, he was a lovely man but at that point it only sounded like a distraction from what an unprofessional job they were doing. I am disappointed and will not print with them in the future.

This place is WONDERFUL! I went to the huge chain copy place down the street from them and had such a terrible experience as they treated me like I was an extra problem, didnt have the paper I needed to just print out a resume, and wanted to charge me an arm and a leg... I ended up walking by this place right after this experience and popped in to see if they had resume paper. They were so nice. Totally took care of me: were professional, thoughtful, and speedy. The prints looked fabulous. And they didnt even charge me! Craziness! So nice and the perfect example of great small businesses. Funny what kinds of things make a girls day. :)

I travel from city to city producing very large complex proposal docs with quick deadlines. Finding a capable full-service digital printer means I can get some sleep on the last week of a project. Marty is experienced, professional and easy to work with. Rick will work all night to make sure the docs are finished and correct. Both inspected the pages to ensure quality and notified me when something could be improved. The online upload tool was easy to use. I will not risk taking my projects to any other printer in Boston. Sir Speedy on Boylston is the right choice.

Sir Speedys has treated me well my entire 5yrs of college printing. They always complete same day printing, and have extremely helpful staff. During my senior thesis, one of the poster printed wrong, and I couldnt afford to pay for a re-print, but Sir Speedys wouldnt let me go to my senior show with a misprint and were amazing enough to print me another free of charge! I will continue to use Sir Speedys for all my Boston printing needs!

I reached out to them when I was searching for a new printing company. To be honest, I wasnt impressed. Their response time was OK, but it took a several emails to get all of my questions answered (I had to ask a couple repeatedly before getting an answer). Last, but certainly not least - they didnt seem enthusiastic at all about getting my business. If thats the case, I wonder how they treat one off clients.

My previous review was negative, related to my wedding menus being cut off-center. Im updating my review following incredible efforts by the owner, Eddie. He not only refunded my costs, but had a team member delivery newly printed menus to my home. He went so above and beyond to fix this, and remove a point of stress at a very busy time, and I could not be more impressed or appreciative.

Ive had new business cards done here - same day. If you are looking for a place that will deliver a good quality work that will be above vistaprint standard and will get people to remember who you are I would recommend to visit this print shop. I felt that the staff was polite and engaging. They new what type of print I needed and they got the job done.
