As part of a graduation celebration my family and I went to TCF on June 14, 2014 - we were seated immediately, it wasnt too crowded (2pm), the waitress was friendly brought us our drinks right away, bread, took our orders and then completely forgot about us. 45 minutes later when we grabbed her attention, we asked her about our food (4 burgers; 1 All American, 2 Mac and Cheese burgers and 1 turkey) SHE didnt check it, the first thing that came out of her mouth was "let me get a manager" (hun?). I couldnt understand why she needed a manager, the manager didnt take our order. Anyway, the manager Vanessa asked us what was the problem, (the waitress just told her we were upset) we had to explained the situation and when she went to check on our food, she came back and said 2 of the 4 burgers were ready (this process took another 5 minutes). Vanessa couldnt understand why we wanted to leave. She tried to convince us to wait another 5 minutes for the other 2 burgers. I told her that we waited long enough and were extremely disappointed by the slow and unprofessional service. Vanessa never comp us for anything (oh wait, she gave us 2 sodas, yippie), there was no apology or explanation from the waitress. TCF wasnt crowded, other people got our food before us who arrived after us and Vanessa the "manager" explained that because we requested the burgers to be well done, it takes time to cook. I just shook my head at her sorry ass excuse for poor service - since when does it take 45 minutes to cook a burger Vanessa? Save your money and Go to Joes American Bar and Grill - real professional, fast service and delicious food! Cheesecake Factory lost long time customers!!!

LAST VISIT TO SOUTH SHORE PLAZA BRAINTREE: UPDATE: 10/18/09 RECEIVED A PHONE CALL AND LETTER WITH AN APOLOGY FROM MANAGER. MOST PLACES WOULD NOT BOTHER SO WE WILL RETURN AND GIVE THEM ANOTHER CHANCE. I ordered a burger to-go (for hubby at home) when we ordered. Can you imagine my surprise when that came out FIRST? The kid who brought it told me that the French fries were in a separate container. When the same kid returned with our dinners, my son asked him to wrap up the rest of his Buffalo Blasts. He brought them back, put them in the bag with the burger and told him he put them in a PAPER BAG. My son did enjoy his Tons of Fun Burger but my Omelette was close to inedible. It barely contained any cheese and I had to dig through it to the middle to find it. Thus making it very dry. The homefries were obviously left over from breakfast time as they were dry and all stuck together. The toast was the biggest laugh. It was so hard that we joked with the waiter about them being deadly weapons as I hit a piece on the table to show how bad it was. I dropped my son off back at college and headed home. He called to say that the kid was wrong. His Buffalo Blasts were not in the paper bag. It was the French fries that went with his father’s take out burger. His father ended up with the Buffalo Blasts and son had dad’s French fries. We should of double checked but took him for his word. Each visit the service and food gets worse and worse.

It was very busy the Sunday we went, so unfortunately we couldnt be seated in a booth as we prefer. Which was enough reason for my dad to say he wont be coming back. However, the food we had was fantastic! I ordered the salmon and scampi combo. The waiter originally brought over just the scampi, but immediately fixed the mistake. It was delicious! I also had mint green iced tea, which I dont recommend, its very strong. Mom had a burger and sweet potato fries, which she said was out of this world. My brother ordered a cheese pizza, which seemed okay, but there was very little sauce on it. The waitress we had was incredible, she was friendly and definitely had her own personality and opinions (a rarity IMO, but always makes the experience more real and personable). She definitely saw to our needs and kept us happy. Oddly, the cheesecake itself was a bit disappointing. Mom had a caramel pecan cheesecake that was way too rich. I had the white chocolate raspberry, and honestly Ive had better from a store bought cheesecake sampler. Overall, the food was terrific, but the cheesecake seems overrated to me, if it hadnt been so crowded this would definitely have been a great experience.

The manager was rude , the pizza was some strange thing that looked like pizza but tasted like a bad cooking experiment gone wrong , not to mention the price for adding chicken to a cheese pizza ,was to put it insanely over price. The music was very loud , the lighting was trying to hide something , the illumination was at a level usually reserved for those type of bars were people come to get really drunk and not see how dirty the glasses are. Last but not least the decor , it was like the interior designer was high on some mixture of drugs and was watching simultaneity a old Egyptian mummy movie and a documentary about the 1920 . P.S. why is it you can buy a whole cheese cake from the this store in BJs for a few dollars more then the price of one slice of this cake in the factory .

Pros: The food is good Cons: Everything else -They refuse to take reservations -Wait times are typically 1 - 2 hours at best -Customer service is not good -Prices for food/drinks get ridiculous The Pros of place are heavily outweighed by the Cons. When the line just for PUTTING YOUR NAME IN stretches out the front door, you know youre gunna be in for a long wait. And I dont know about you, but standing in line for half an hour, just so you can wait another 2 hours to get a table, while you stand around, leaning against the wall, in a loud and crowded restaurant lobby, all for the end goal of sitting down to eat a meal for 40 minutes and spend a ton of money is NOT my idea of a fun night. Not going back to this place ever, unless they finally start taking reservations.

Weve been dining at this restaurant for many times. We have never had any problems before. However, last night we went there for celebrating my daughter s birthday. Its on Wednesday, about 8:00 pm and not too crowded like on the weekend. The front desk host -old cranky lady- was so rude. My wife just requested if any tables toward the end of the corner was available for more privacy. She raised her voice with an angry face and asked :"What do you mean the tables toward the end of the corner?" What kind of a customer service is that? I think she doesnt care. She already spoiled our dinner. Beside that, the server was excellent, nice, friendly...The food was very good.

This place truly sucks. I was given a pager said 15 min wait, 35 mins goes by nothing. I go up to the counter and they said I must have got a defective pager. No apology. We ordered Tuna Tartare it was absolutely disgusting, it was old, fishy and NOT FRESH. My father ended up getting food poisoning from Salmon on top of this horrible experience. Honestly stay away, its not worth it, they clearly could care less about food quality and service.
