I had a good experience with Coxs Old Colony. They installed a complete heating and AC system in our home (2-furnaces and 2-AC). The crew was very professional, left my house clean every night and let me know when they will arrive the next day. The quote was really good and I felt they had my best interest in mind when choosing the right setup. Even though they ended up replacing my entire system, they tried to keep all the working equipment. Other companies, just assumed I wanted everything replaced (and with top-of -the-line equipment). Also, I really appreciated that the MassSave rebate was NOT part of the quote. All the other quotes I received, the companies included the MassSave rebate - which made me feel like the company was benefiting and not me! My only criticism is that they are not the most organized company. You will have to ask a lot of questions and be active in the process. If you have a concern, just bring it up. They answered all my questions and I felt they were honest throughout the process. I would recommend them and will be calling them for any future work.

Unbelievably bad experience. On May 22, 2017 my husband signed a contract to install a split A/C system at my daughters town house in Charlestown and gave him $8,000 deposit. From that date when he took our $8,000 until September 6, he never came to our daughters unit, the job site. He continued lying and not keeping many scheduled appointments and did not answer phone calls. He realized he cannot do the job and after being threatened by lawsuits he started refunding the deposit on installments between August 4, 2017 and September 6,2017. Summer passed without an A/C in our daughters unit. Very frustrating and stressful experience. He should not be in the business and the State should take away his license.

Terrible experience. I would not recommend them to anyone. No one should have to go without heat for 3 weeks in single digit temperatures on a new install. Be very cautious dealing with this company. Problem after problem. I added 1 photo where you can see the wiring is coming undone, which caused the system to short. Also, tough to miss the 3 inch gap where they didnt even bother to seal off where the air handler and vent connect. 70% of the air was going into the closet. After many false promises of fixing it I did it myself. At least I knew it was done correctly. This is only a small fraction of the issues. Just be careful if you use them.

I am giving old colony 5 stars because my furnace died on a Sunday during a snowstorm. I spoke with Bill and he came out to take a look. We decided it was best to replace the furnace due to its age as well as not wanting to wait for days to find parts for a very old furnace. They were able to replace the furnace that very day and provide us with temporary heat. They also made arrangements to return and complete the other needed work to finalize the job. Bill took care of our emergency, and went above and beyond to get the job done, considering it was on a Sunday during a snowstorm. We will definitely use them again if the need occurs.

I called so many different plumbing companies and they all seemed to be too busy to schedule a time to come to my home. I have to say, when I called Coxs Old Colony and explained my situation with having plumbing issues and 3 kids at home, they came right out. I have never been so pleased with a company before and I will be sure to let others know about them. Thank you again for excellent work!!!

Recently had a mitsubishi minisplit installation with coxs old colony, and so far, its been working beautifully. Amazingly cold output. I will say though, the owner can be a little hard to get a hold of as it took me a few days to get my invoice sent out to me, but I got it, so its okay now.
