We just installed a new sink in our kitchen and realized afterward, that the pvc drain pipes did not line up with the drain holes in the new sink. The pvc pipes would have to be moved so they lined up with these new sink drain holes. We called Maffei and he came by telling us it would be $50.00 to walk in the door. He came by, looked at the new sink and pvc pipes, went out to his truck to do his calculations. He returned quoting us $963.00 to do the work. We said that was way too much and that I would do the work myself. He was helpful and gave me a few hints and said it should not take more than 2 hours or so. I paid him his $50.00 and went off and purchased all the pvc connections I needed to do the job for about $45.00. So, according to my calculations, that leaves over $900.00 in labor Maffei was going to charge us : over $450.00 per hour !!!! What is this - an MIT doctor engineering a rocket engine!!!!! Just outrageous. So if you are looking for a plumber who will charge you a reasonable rate (dare I say a Christian rate? If this is not gouging, I do not know what is), Maffei is not your guy!

Maffei does an outstanding job every time they work with us. Most importantly, I have confidence in the people that work for them. When I call the office, Dave is friendly and effective at getting the right people on the job - often the same day. For the last few years theyve done all of our HVAC maintenance and repair work. For the first time today, we needed some plumbing work done - a leaky tub I couldnt figure out. Aaron Welcome was polite, friendly and efficient. He asked good questions to pinpoint the problem, showed me what he was seeing and walked me through the best options. Did the work quickly and effectively. Great guy. Great service. Highly recommend Maffei.

Maffei recently installed a split system in my house. It was a pleasure working with them from the begining to the completion of the work. Dave in the office was very helpful with the scheduling process. He was knowledgeable and he was able to answer all of my questions. The installation could not have been done any better. George (aka Gator) and Anthony are true professional they worked without breaks or lunch until the job was completed and the area cleaned up. This is the first time I had Meffei do any work for me. I will use Meffei for all of my future needs...

Dave was great getting someone out but I spent $401.95 to fix my furnace and one day later it is not working again. Its Christmas Eve and I have to spend an additional $150.00 bucks to have them come back to fix what they were suppose to fix to begin with. With 4 kids in the house we made the choice to just put more blankets on for the night. I am in the wrong business, if I dont fix it right the first time i get to charge you for coming back out to fix what I already charged you to fix. Not much confidence in this firm. Patrick

We called because of a leak from the garage ceiling. A young man named Jeremy came immediately to address the problem. He was very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. He identified the source of the leak and provided options for rectifying it. We also had some new bathroom faucets installed at the same time. We will be doing some additional plumbing work in the near future and absolutely will use Maffei Services again - maybe Jeremy will be available! We definitely recommend this company.

He was professional and courteous, and patiently explained the problems he discovered, the actions required and what was optional. Although my furnace installation was very reasonable, the plumbing work is for other things is outrageously priced. It is a flat rate fee, not per hour. Which means, if your job is straight forward and doesnt take too long, you are paying for someone elses less efficient job. Not good!

Charged us for a quote. Did not communicate this when we called. The quote was $393 to instal 1 bathroom faucet. That was Labor ONLY. I bought the faucet that I wanted ahead. He tried talking me out of the faucet I bought.
