Ive hired them twice, about a year and a half between tries. Last time was about a year ago. Trying to hire a new service right now, and realized that others really should know that this company provided pretty awful care. Pros: Nontoxic products, arrived on time. Cons: They caused too much damage and were careless with my house. The dusting was very cursory...did not move anything. Some areas never got dusted at all. Teams differed over various weeks, and some team members were awful. Specificw: The first time I let them go was after I was home during their cleaning....heard something going "whack, whack, whack." Came out to see what it was...it was someone vacuuming under a chair. The whacking was the vacuum hitting the legs of the chair with each trip under the chair. I let them go after that. Hired them again somewhat later. The second week, a person left a felt pen open on the bed, soaking through the comforter cover and the down duvet. I never did manage to get the green ink out of either piece. I dont allow pens in the master bed so I definitely did not do this myself. They did offer to pay for the damage. How could I get them to believe that the cover cost $200 and the down duvet cost $400? I just told them to forget it. Three weeks later, they scratched the top of my new Wolf range by putting the cleaned grates down near the edge of the stove and then sliding them across the stainless steel into place. The grates need o be set into place, not slid across the stainless top and then allowed to drop in. Duh. They left several deep scratches in the new stove top. I just let them go after this. I did not explain about the damage to the new stove. If they hire people that can do this kind of thing, what is the point? My house is not as clean now, but I am far less irritated. And I am not paying over $200 per week for people to damage my home. A minor point: One time they were here the people were all fighting....my foreign language skills are not good enough to know what they were fighting about. It was unpleasant, however. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I should have known not to call them back. I wont call them again.

The maids were thorough, quick, and pleasant to work with. If my review was based solely on that, I would rate The Maids five stars. Unfortunately, it seemed from my interaction with their home office that they do not always communicate very effectively with their Team Leaders. While on the phone with their office, I was told that the maids would be at my house between 4 and 6 p.m. The maids arrived an hour and a half early (lucky I was home!), but I was still in the process of getting the apartment ready because I thought they were coming at 4. I asked the maids to wait for about 10 minutes, and then I invited them in. Apparently, even though I hadnt agreed to this earlier time, they were already on the clock and charged me for this time plus an additional 10 minutes. The estimate had been $164 for 1.5 hours work in my 750 sq. ft. apartment. They ended up needing only 1 hour to clean the apartment, but they charged me $218. They penalized me for not being ready for them to clean, even though our appointment wasnt for another 2 hours.

The Maids went above and beyond! I am so pleased with the outcome of my tiny little place on a fourth floor walk up mind you. I got a first time deep cleaning along with my carpets cleaned. The carpet ended up looking almost as good as new and my place felt and smelled pristine. Nothing broken or moved where is should not have been. The cleaning staff were very friendly and understood my rugs needed special treatment due to a long haired kitty. I highly recommend The Maids for any cleaning needs you have:)

I have been using Handy for the past 6 months or so and regretting it each time. So, finally, I started looking into a different cleaning service. The Maids team was so helpful via email/phone to get started and quote me. I will say that their cleaning took a bit longer than originally quoted and I was annoyed at first. But, then I got home and saw the cleaning. They did an INCREDIBLE job. Cleaned every surface. I have booked bi-weekly cleanings with them and couldnt recommend them more.

This company routinely let me down. I gave them regular business, explicit instructions - but in the end they just couldnt pull off the basics - cleaning.
