Based on my experience with Mullin Electric I would strongly advise people to look elsewhere. This was a small job that ended up being expensive and aggravating. First, the quality of there work was fine, it was an easy job. My complaint is about the service, the price and the series of lies and mis-truths. I found them inconsiderate and dishonest. I was re-siding my house and I need to pull the meter socket so I could replace the cedar shingles behind it. I called Mullin Electric, they came right out and gave me a quote, said they would be back in a couple days. A week later, after a few call with no responses, they just show up to the house midday unannounced and cut the power. I had to take half a day off work to rush home and deal with them. They did the work, nothing special, then the mis-truths started. When I was given the bill I noticed several things. First, this was very expensive for a very small, very quick job. Secondly, it was much higher then the quote. When they quoted the price they estimated there hourly rate at "around $100/hr for 2 hours" so around ~$200. The bill was $130 for 3 hours, $400. During the quote they said they would have to have NSTAR come and disconnect the power costing $300. They never called NSTAR, they used that information so they could charge me a disconnect/reconnect fee of equal amount. Finally, I asked them several times if they pulled a permit (because they charged me for it) and multiple times he looked at me and said yes. No surprise when I went to town hall a couple days later and no permit was pulled. The town had to call them and have them retroactively pull a permit. Looking back on the whole ordeal it was $850, two trips to town hall, several phone calls, half a day of work and a lot of frustration to replace a dozen shingles. As I said before, the work was fine they were just inconsiderate and dishonest. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

A huge disappointment. On Wednesday, December 9, 2015, Bill Mullin came to my home to inspect an electrical outlet. A surge of electricity appeared to have burned out a lamp that was plugged into this socket, which caused me alarm. Mr. Mullin inspected the socket, and assured me that it was working properly. He added that a piece of metal must have come into contact with the lamps socket, and that it was easy and inexpensive to replace. He stated that he could fix the lamp and assured me that he would return it to me by that Friday, December 11th. I never heard back from him. I called him a few times and left messages. I finally reached him the following Friday, December 18th. During this telephone conversation (which I had on speaker phone) he stated that the lamp was fixed, and that he would have it back to me "in a couple of days." Once again, I never heard back from him, despite leaving a couple of messages. I can only assume that he damaged the lamp in some way. This lamp was part of a set, which means I will have to replace the complete set. Mr. Mullin replaced my entire electrical panel last spring, which is why I contacted him about the socket and lamp. He supplied me with a 1-year guarantee for that work, stating that 1 year was standard. I have only recently learned that a 3-year guarantee is standard for this type of job, which cost me in excess of $2,000. I have also been advised to have another licensed electrician perform a thorough inspection his work. It is highly unusual for me to post a negative review. Nevertheless, in view of Mr. Mullins apparent disingenuous, and oddly passive aggressive behavior, I felt it necessary to advise others of my experience. Unfortunately, it seems that an old adage applies to Mullin Electric: "Let the buyer beware." Mrs. G.M. Snyder, New Bedford, MA

Once again Mullin Electric saved the day. First Bill "heard" my pleas for help on Facebook when I discovered a "live" box of electrical wires hiding underneath wallpaper for the past 56 years. Then while they were here, they also installed a new light fixture and replaced all of my old outlets with new grounded ones. Excellent service and a more than fair price.
