SUPERIOR PROFESSIONALS. We have an old two-story cape, ca 1849. We hired JP McCurdy for a whole-house electrical overhaul: remove knob-and-tube wiring and rewire circuits; replace fuses with circuit breakers; rewire ceiling fixtures; wire for (and will ultimately install) recessed lighting in the kitchen, two wall sconces, two closet lights, and cellar lighting; re-wire the washer-dryer outlets; add new switches and outlets; wire for smoke alarms and a kitchen range hood; and add an exterior outlet, and other things Im sure Ive forgotten. We could not have made a better choice. Rich listened carefully, was thorough and clear with his estimates (which compared very favorably with other estimates we got) and was infinitely patient with our many revisions. He and his crew always let us know when they were going to show up and what they were going to do – and were like clockwork. Crew members (mostly Derek and Jim, but also Mike and Joe) were wonderful. Their work is impeccable and their clean-up habits excellent. Their attitude was great: easygoing, flexible, accommodating, and very personable. We will continue to use JP McCurdy for any additional electrical work we need and heartily recommend them—with no reservations.

Services provided include electrical panel upgrade, exterior fixture replacement, and interior switch replacement. Future work is planned and anticipated to continue with them For the Panel upgrade, I worked with Karl. The panel upgrade went smoothly. The crew was professional and very informative as they explained their work as it related to the context of our older home. They were patient with my hovering and informative with my questions while they diligently worked away. For the other work and future work, I am currently working with Mike C. He is diligent with detailed price quoting and scope description so that we can determine which projects we want to take on either due to timing, budget, scope of work, etc. This type of project management/dialogue is particularly helpful for us to tackle projects for our older home in a manageable manner. For the actual work done recently, their crew reflected a consistent theme of JP McCurdy as thorough, informative, professional, accommodating, etc.

I used McCurdy Electric for the first time the other day. I found their number on google and called. I got a live person named Judy who was very nice and helpful. I got someone to come out for an estimate, the next day. I needed a few outlets updated, and light fixtures installed. The price was better than the other 4 estimates I got. The work was done in a professional, and clean manner. It was almost like I never knew they were there after they left. The workers were polite, respectful, and professional. I will use McCurdy Electric for all of my electrical needs for now on and tell all of my friends who need a quality and professional electrician!

McCurdy to Install a UPS battery backup, including the required power receptacles, within a commercial server room for a client facility within Lynn, MA. Had McCurdy electric come out to run a line for my pool . They put a panel box in my shed and upgraded my box. Quick easy and Jack worked with the inspector and light department to complete in a timely manner
