When I brought in my laptop, they gave me paperwork to fill out describing to them what the issues were. I did so, clearly and concisely. I was leaving the state the very next day for vacation and left them my contact information to call me while I was away as our home laptop is our primary source of communication for important things such as job search for my wife. They never called my cell phone, and left a voicemail at my home phone which I did not get until we returned from our vacation. Failure #1. Failure #2 is my wife called them and someone there explained that we had a problem with the phone jack. I thought to myself, how can this cause our laptop to shut down automatically, I dont know, but they should know what theyre doing. The person told my wife it would be ready for pickup the very next day, which was on Saturday. Its a good thing I didnt go out there that day. Failure #3 is I showed up there today, Monday, and the guy tells me its not the phone jack, its the motherboard...which of course, they couldnt fix because they didnt have our approval to fix it because they didnt bother calling us to tell us that they were wrong in the initial prognosis. This place offers crappy service, unknowledgable technicians, and unprofessional use of a customers time. I strongly suggest you find someone else to do the work. Youll be happier in the long run. Run, run as far away as possible from CTS in Newton.

CTS has renewed my faith in computer repair. My laptop crashed and would not boot. I brought it to Micro Center where I had purchased it and learned that the warranty had expired 1 week previous. I made some noise and they reloaded the original software but I lost everything. They said computer was old (3 years) and that is why it is slow and will not work well. I brought it to CTS and within 2 days I got back a computer that was better than when I had bought it. They put in a new solid state hard drive and the thing is blazing fast and dependable. I had another issue on a work computer, trying to move only subfolders from outlook to a new computer. Unlike others who posted here I was able to talk to the tech because it was tricky on what needed to be done. They did all the work same day on a Saturday so that I had it for Work on Monday. Laptop was $190.00 for hard drive, spyware cleanup and all labor. The outlook work, which would have taken me all day was $90.00, I mean talk about reasonable!

very bad. the technician will not interact with customers, they just charge you. I had a computer no bios information. I wanted them to help me to fix the problem, they just told me the memory slot is bad. However, there are two memory slots, before I came to them, I knew that one of them may does not work, one of them works. Why one memory slot is bad affect the bios information? They will not tell you any more information. They provided the information you already know, the technician does not interact with customer, the owner of the shop just want to charge your money without any constructive suggestions.

CTS is a nice, friendly business! Ive had two interactions in the last 6 months. First, a horrible virus crashed a 4 year old laptop and wouldnt allow any activity The repair was reasonably price and it worked perfectly until our dog knocked it off a chair. After the damage was assessed (cracked hard drive, blue screen), it was obviously more cost effective to buy a new one, so I bought a new Lenovo. CTS prepped the machine and got me up and running with no hassle. Their price was competitive with big boxers, and the personal interaction made the purchase a good experience. Buy with confidence!

Ive bought a couple of systems worth of parts here. Mail order is a bit cheaper but when a case had a bad power supply, they replaced it right away. More importantly, Ive had a couple of my kids laptops break. The big stores who sell them wanted to send them back to the manufacturer. One manufacturer refused a warranty claim saying that it was abused.l CTS has a miracle worker who fixes them every time. Who else actually fixes laptops on site? For a fair price, too. A great resource.

Yuck! I had a student from another country and he wish he had a operating system in english. He had a Windows Vista Japanese version. We brought it in and explained all they did was wipe out his computer and put windows xp on it! No vista! And he lost his files for $100! So I had a good friend put office and vista on it. And my friend even made it so he can type in English or japanese! Stay away from here.
