I am not coming back. The first time I came here I saw a stylist who was very rude. I dont remember her name but she was much older than the other stylists and had poofy, straight, black, hair. When she touched my hair she made noises of disgust and asked when was the last time I washed my hair. I had washed it last night and it was clean. I didnt think it was greasy. I then explained to her that I was using the natural "curly girl" hair treatment which involves not using shampoo or shampoo without sulfates or parabens. She got even more disgusted raised her voice and said, "Eww, you dont wash your hair?!" I then explained to her AGAIN what I had said and how the curly girl method works. She said she had never heard of it or "natural" hair care which is surprising considering she is a stylist. She then washed my hair without asking me if I was ok with it first and used products with sulfates... Vanessa however, was wonderful. She also has curly hair so she understood my hair regiment and had helpful advice. She was very kind and HAD heard of natural hair care. The tools where clean, the other stylists where polite, the salon looked stylish and they also had a nice arrangement of OPI nail polish. If I hadnt had such an unpleasant experience with another stylist I would have given a higher rating and stayed a customer.

Just wanted to point out on Heather Cabrals review: not all girls from New Bedford are what was referred to as "ghetto," (lacking class) and readers should not be under this impression due to one customers prejudiced point-of-view. As for the customer service at Regis: In my past experience, each stylist Ive ever had was pleasant, friendly, and attentive. Its unfortunate that other customers didnt receive the same courtesy and level of professionalism. I gave an overall rating of 3 stars, as it is a bit on the pricey side and the services I recieved were of average quality - Nothing that blew me away, in other words. This is a mall salon; You go here when you want a quick trim, cut, or to get your hair styled, and its convenient because you dont need an appointment. However, a good take-away from some of these reviews might be to talk to your stylist before proceeding with any services so that youre comfortable, and youll both be on the same page with your expectations. It could even be helpful to request an "experienced" stylist, too.

Expensive, but NO CLASS! Stylists were extremely rude. Dropped off my 14 year old for a special day. She had to hear profanity from her stylist, including the F bomb, whenever she was talking to her coworkers. $131 later, she came out with "blonde" that was orangey and hurt feelings because the stylist was so rude. At one point, she was coughing, and the stylist asked if she was ok. My daughter replied, "Yes, Ive had this cough for a month, though." The stylist said, "I dont care about your cough. I was asking about your color." Never going back. They acted like typical New Bedford ghetto girls.

i got my hair cut and dyed. She had no idea how to dye hair she burnt my hair caused half of it to break off and fall out. At the same time another person cut my daughters hair I said long layers. she had no idea what she was doing cut short layers in my daughters hair and now we have to wait months for it to grow out we cant even put it in a ponytail. Stay away from them they hire non experienced hairdressers that will ruin your hair I also talk to other people who went there and have the same results as mine stay away.

I did relaxer for my hair and my hair is completely rough.Relaxer is supposed to smoothen your hair not make it very rough. Very dissapointed!
