This was my first and last experience with "Great Clips." When I first walked in, I received a creepy, in unison greeting from the staff. I should have left right then, seeing how the "stylists" were so willing to snap their heads up while in the midst of chopping their customers hair off. Before even getting my haircut, they asked for my full name, address and phone number. This process took longer than my haircut. The woman who cut my hair didnt bother with asking me any information about my hair or what kind of style I wanted. She was uninformed (she seriously asked me what long layers were!), rushed, and kept pulling on my hair. All I really needed was a trim (trim the layers too, please!); she managed to butcher my hair. Im not one to have crazy-high expectations from a chain salon and I wasnt in the market for anything fancy, but I can honestly say that this was an absolutely terrible experience. I now have weird, choppy bangs that make my hairstyle a borderline mullet. Everything is uneven and Ive now set up an appointment to get my hair cut again at a more reputable place. So much for a trim! I would advise anyone and everyone to stay away from this place. If not, you may end up investing in some really nice hats.

Im new in town and wanted to find a good place to get a quick cut. I have nothing against chains like Supercuts or anything because it always comes down to the individual cutting your hair regardless of what the sign on the building says. So I decided to try this place because I got a coupon in the mail for half off. I would have been happy with the greeting the previous reviewer got - I got nothing, I just stood at the counter for what seemed like an eternity. Did I mention that there were 4 female "stylists" who were free at the time? And that they were just chatting with each other? Im not the best looking guy on the planet but Im a customer who will pay and tip well for good service. Im glad I didnt have to pay full price for that totally unwelcoming experience, although the girl who finally did cut my hair didnt do a terrible job (it was too short and a bit uneven but not embarrassingly wrong). I agree with the previous reviewer - why do they need your birthday, phone number, home address, etc. to do a haircut? Are they doing background checks now at hair salons?

Yesterday I took my daughter for a simple trim of her hair. I did not have a high expectation on my daughter hair trim. The hair stylist is quite unpleasant, not kid friendly, unprofessional and very impatient. The hair cut came out so uneven and there are so many strands of hairs are not even being cut. I have to go home and re trim quite a bit. I got to say, I did much better job than this female hair stylist. This is my first time there and also will be my last.

NEVER EVER GO THERE. The stylists werent stylists, my mother does a better job. Im a girl and I went in(seeing how it was right around the corner). I just moved to the area and was needing a trim and figured it could be an okay place. I told the girl what I wanted, and basically my hair got butchered. Its uneven, not layered correctly...I cant even style it. Never going back and I dont know how they survived being opened for as long as they have!

My boyfriend went here today and we are both very dissatisfied with his haircut. The girl that did his hair was a NEW stylist who to our estimation needs much more training, he had to ask her a few times to recut areas that she hadnt gotten correct the first time....besides that, it took her more than half hour for a 15 minute job.... Although she was very nice.....we were both unhappy

Avoid Great Clips of Salem NH. Not worth your time and money. My son took two lollipops. He was only supposed to take one. I get it. The stylist was all over him and embarrassed the both of us before I could correct his behavior. And not for nothing, my son walked out looking like Pee Wee Herman. The cut was awful. Avoid the rudeness and unprofessional staff and go elsewhere!

Waited in the parking lot for 30 plus minutes did online check in at exactly 9 a.m. and was first on the computer but that did not matter cause they took 2 walk ins before me. I left and wont return.

Waits are not bad. Suggest using their app and checking in online prior to arriving. They prioritize online checks over walk-ins. Stylists are friendly and personable. Hair cut was average.

Friendly staff, they keep track of previous cuts off you want the same style. Allows for online check in to speed up waiting
