The most unprofessional individuals Ive ever encountered. On Tuesday, 11/17, I went there with my boyfriends (whom I also share an address with) missed package delivery slip. He signed it over to me to pick up- picked it up with no problem and was not asked to provide any form of ID- mine or his. The VERY NEXT DAY Wednesday 11/18, I went with another missed delivery slip for a package my boyfriend really needed for tonight. I presented the slip which he again signed over to me, and then was asked for an ID. I presented mine, and the postal worker went in the back, found the package, and then asked me why the names were different. I explained, and he said well then you need your boyfriends ID. I explained I was given his package yesterday no questions asked- still didnt give it to me. I understand the policy now, but the rudeness and the inconsistency in policy really doesnt help anyone. Not to mention the slip doesnt say that the person whose package it is needs to give their ID to their agent. It says "We will redeliver OR you or your agent can pick up your mail at the Post Office. (Bring this form and proper ID)." No where else on the slip does it elaborate on being sure to give your ID to your agent. When I explained I interpreted it to mean I needed my ID to prove Im in fact the person he signed it over to, the postal worker next to the one who was originally helping me decided to chime in and insult me by saying "Well its pretty obvious thats not what it means." Ive had numerous negative experiences with these individuals who clearly lack professionalism. Avoid needing to go here at all costs.

For all the negative commentary about this office (all of which has proven true for me over the 5 years Ive had to use this post office) there is another aspect of terrible service that goes unmentioned. The drivers who are supposed to deliver the mail from this office are lazy, lying individuals. I have lost count of the number of times a package was supposed to show up, didnt, and when I called in or went online I would find a report from the driver saying a delivery was attempted and no one was home. Lies. This is a recurring issue as well, having happened multiple times at different addresses over the years, so its not just one bad egg. In person the office is slow, disrespectful, and at times downright hostile toward doing their jobs. I thought places like these were the fodder of comedy movies, but sadly they actually exist. I would recommend using a different mailing service if you live in an area where your package would have to come through these..."People".

These people lose packages like its their job. They lost 3 packages of mine within 2 weeks. They are the most unprofessional group of USPS people you will probably work with. I called them to ask about the lost packages and while they were speaking to me, they told me to "hold on for a sec" so they could yell to a co-worker that they were going to get cookies from the nearby stop and shop at 2pm. I am also convinced that the person who delivers packages cannot read NUMBERS. This person presses the buzzer for an apartment 5 when the package is for 3! If you live in an apartment where the street level door is locked, they will MOST LIKELY leave the package OUTSIDE. They are too lazy to take out their keys to open the door and leave the package inside. If you live around this area, dont bother getting packages delivered by USPS. Even UPS does a better job. 0/10 would use their service again.

Went in here to cash a post office money order that was endorsed to me. The women with acrylic nails told me I couldve found the check on the ground and written it out to myself. It doesnt matter, if the check is signed and endorsed to me, she has to give me the money. Thats how checks work. Anyways I got the person who originally endorsed the check to me to come to the post office with me and she still didnt want to give me the money, she said that the check was fake, even though it had two fabric strips in it and the US Post office watermark. Shes the most incompetent person I have ever met, doesnt understand her job, doesnt understand how checks work and was yelling at me and the check endorser over $80. Dread going here

I live a block from this ghetto location and its such a shame that whenever I go there to do business its as if they are doing me a favor. I have never come across such a bunch of unprofessional, classless group (usually the same 5-6 workers ). I have witnessed them speaking to customers in a condescending manner, raising there voices because the person couldnt understand what they said, and also brag about the way they mistreated a customer. What I dont understand, is why the United States Postal Service office on Tremont St in Mission Hill not fired these idiots or moved them to another location where their attitude would not be tolerated!

If you are from abroad.. stay away from this store. If you are not from abroad,, stay way too. The reps. (especially the guy- I wont mention the name) are unprofessional and unbearably rude. The moment they realize you speak fluent English, they will treat you as if you are "same" human being.. but if not,, they will do their best to insult you. This should not be happening at all in a city like Boston with so many international students/professionals. Treating customers based on their race/ level of English is unacceptable. The reps at this store should re-consider their career cuz customer service is definately not for them.

At first I tried to avoid this place due to the horrible reviews. I drove to two other stores. One in this area, which also has great reviews, was not accepting cards or international packages. The other one had no empty parking spots since it only had street parking. Then I drive to this place and amazingly they have designated parking spots for their customers! The line moved pretty fast and personal helped me to do all the forms and tape my box for an international shipping. They didnt sell packing tapes which was strange, but in overall, I liked the place and will go back for my future shippings.

If you are not a shipping expert, chances are that you will get loudly chastised or even mocked by the woman in her 40s with the acrylic nails. This happens about 50% of the time that I use this store. Ive witnessed some poor college kids being harassed right out of the store just because they made some small, common mistake. Sure, both staff members at the window can be mean or rude. But the woman with the acrylic nails goes above and beyond rudeness, right into vicious territory. Geez Wiz lady, its not customers fault that you are bitter at your job!

I have been using this post office for years and have been served by every staff in this office throughout many years, just because it is the only USPS office near my school. Throughout the years, I have reached a very consistent conclusion, all the staffs working in this office are just rude ass holes. They are so rude and so impolite, and most important of all, they are inefficient. More than half of the times, I have been treated rudely by the staff there, and the other half, I saw them treating other people rudely.
