I have seen two barbers at this shop, although its common that only one of them is working. When you enter, it feels more like a sports bar than a barber shop, and if youre into that sort of thing youll feel right at home. If youre not, you can still find an enjoyable and skillful haircut here, but the almost compulsory television-watching and sports-discussing experience may not be the best fit. Its a good thing theres coffee, cookies, and entertainment, too, because you can expect a long wait--very frequently an hour or more (the max Ive experienced was nearly 2 hours)--before you even begin your haircut. Even if you show up right when the shop opens, you may have one "insider" already waiting or otherwise placed ahead of you. The pace of the cut itself is as leisurely as the barbers themselves, and at this stage youll feel welcome no matter who you are. The cost is $15, which is amazing for the area. Recommended if you have the time to wait.

I went to this place after finding it and reading reviews through Google Maps. The shop is bright, modern and friendly. There are magazines and a tv playing for those waiting, and each barber station also has a mini tv playing so you can watch while getting a haircut. There seemed to be 3 barber stations but only 2 had chairs, so figure 2 haircuts at a time. I mentioned to Anthony, my barber (and the owner, I believe) that I play guitar, and he pointed to the guitars on the walls (2 acoustic 6-strings and 1 acoustic bass, if I recall) and said theyre totally playable, sometimes people come in and just play while they wait. And finally, yet most importantly, Im very pleased with the haircut and the friendliness of Anthony as he cut my hair.

Having been a National Chain Hair Salon customer most of my adult life, I feel privileged to live so close to Razors. The barbers are consummate professionals, and each cut is finished with a straight razor clean-up shave. They are finishing the rec/reception room in the basement, and offer complimentary coffee/tea to waiting clients. Prices are reasonable (even competitive with national chains given the higher level of service), and the new appointment system is easy to use and a great way to avoid a wait (they are so busy now that there arent generally any walk-in appointments available).

Ive been here three times so far with 3 different barbers, including the master barbers Anthony and Drew. You can see that Anthony cares about his business and that everything runs smoothly, hes committed and does his best to make the customer happy. The last time I also wanted to get a beard trim and, based on the reviews, I decided to go with Drew. Apart from the great service, he simply cut my hair and trimmed my beard exactly how I wanted. I see some not very good reviews, if you are unsatisfied with the service I highly recommend you talk to Anthony,.the manager, and you wont regret!

Best place in Boston area by far. After having mediocre cuts at several other barbershops, I stumbled upon razors. Anthony cut my hair and did a great job. Hes incredibly receptive and offers great suggestions for a good collaborative experience. He knows hair and got me to exactly the cut I was going for, and I am pretty strict on the way I cut my hair. Definitely recommend to anyone who has a very specific style youre looking for.

Excellent haircut. Joe is extremely friendly, and he knows his stuff. He checked with me before doing anything and even took the time to explain to me what exactly he was doing and that I was essentially asking to be done. The two guys who own and run the place take their sweet, sweet time on some customers which can make for a very long wait (very, very long), but I think it was completely worth it. Also, at $15, its a steal, too.

Hands down the best place to get a haircut and/or straightshave in the Boston area. The staff is incredibly friendly, the owners Joey and Anthony are great guys and the service they provide is of very high quality. Despite some long lines, its always worth it and at $15 a cut, their price is hard to beat. Also each chair comes with its own television which frequently plays either sports or a great movie. Awesome!

Honestly, not bad, but I was slightly late once and they told me theyll charge me $25 for being late, and that I couldnt be fit in that day anyway. I was 20 min late. Yes, I was late, but Im a regular customer! They couldnt consider making an exception? For when things are out of your hands? I dont like that level of inflexibility, so I dont plan on coming back.

Went in after seeing the reviews here and was really really impressed. I got a shave and a cut for $30. I could have just gotten the cut for $15 but decided to "splurge". There were two guys in front of me when I came in but I was in a chair within 15 mins. The place filled up quick at 5pm. Really nice guys. Really great haircut. Really good value.

Great guys, great service. Cheapest and best haircut Ive gotten in a long time. And the atmosphere is unique - a mix of old school barber shop with a twist. No appointments here, but when I showed up on a Saturday morning, I got seated almost immediately.

Been going here since 2007. Anthony does a great job cutting hair, same with the rest of the barbers. Even though I moved out of Somerville two years ago I still book appointments and get my hair cut here.

Finally a decent haircut! Scratch that- a great haircut! Moved from Texas five months ago and have had nothing but hack jobs wherever I go. Razors is out of way for me, but totally worth the trip!

Great place, great guys and a great cut. Only reason it isnt "excellent" is the wait. Theyve become a victim of their own success and waits of over an hour are now standard.

This place has improved over the years. Quality service for an exceptionally reasonable price. There CAN be a wait sometimes, but I've never found it to be overly long.

Really like this place. Also enjoy that they are up to date on their tech utilizing an iPad for sign in and square for paying with a credit card.

Staff are friendly and Ive never had a bad cut here. Super easy to book online, and have even had pretty decent last-minute availability lately.

Great service, great barbers. Is my go to place having just moved into the area and having been looking for over a year for a quality place.
