Everything in Frigos has that little Italian grandma just made this especially for you feel to it. Tastes great every time. Fresh always. Joe and his staff are pros when it comes to feeding you and your friends. If there is a little Italian shop better than this one anywhere I have yet to come across it. Sandwiches piled high and the daily specials and regular dishes always look so amazing displayed in that long glass display case. Frigos is simply amazing. If you had to pick a downside the only one I can think of is you will have a hard time making a decision. I walk in with something in mind and then I look at the items being displayed and change my mind time and time again. This isnt only best in springfield this I would challenge you to find and equal anywhere

The line is out the door at lunch time... For a reason. This place is great. Im a little disturbed that "Mayo" is a default on an Italian sub, you have to ask NOT to get it... Frankly Mayo has no business being even near an Italian.. But maybe thats a Western Massachusetts thing because everyone around here thinks its normal... Other than that though, great food, friendly people.. And Id say grab a cannoli, but dont if its the last one! (Save it for me!!!)

I LOVE this place! So much so that I wanted to have them cater my wedding! We had met with someone there however months later had not received the additional information and estimates. We checked in again (this was in December) but still nothing and it is now April. It is unfortunate however wont stop me from being a lunch customer!

Service was relatively quick, as they take your order like any other deli counter. Did get to watch then microwave my sandwhich which kinda sucked. I got a veal parm and it tasted average. They do give massive portions for a relatively good price. Nice staff. Overly average for the most part.

The best takeout restaurant in the Hartford/Springfield area. Authentic food made by authentic Italians. Every year I go there near thanksgiving to get everything I need to make the most delicious antipasto salad. My wish is to have enough time on this earth to try every one of their meals.

These people do it right! It gets a little busy during lunch time, but youll understand why after you try it for the first time. They have the staples and then the daily menu. Amazing food and I always have a very welcoming experience whenever I swing by.

Although I will never get used to calling hoagies "grinders," kaiser rolls "water rolls," and some of the other MA terminology, this is a great local meat/cheese/sandwich spot. The microwave usage on hot sandwiches knocks the rating down some.

This place is amazing!!!!! The best food Ive ever had, and the variety is mind blowing. The BLT pasta salad is my favorite food in the world. The staff is super friendly and nice, I always have a great experience and great food!!

They have THE best grinders and specialty italian foods to go. Absolutely scruptious! High quality and big quantity!!! My only wish....if they posted their grinders menu on their website. ( I keep losing their printed menus) lol.

A true South End tradition. Great deli sandwiches and grinders (subs), as well as a selection of several food entries prepared. Often they have a carving station. If they have Prime Rib, try it! You will not be dissapointed.

My favorite lunch spot in springfield. Between the ready made italian foods and the subs made to order, you dont have any bad options here. Prices are fair. Careful of the lunch rush though, it can get crowded at 12 and 1pm.

My favorite place to get a grinder, period. They have a huge selection and an ever changing selection of prepared foods. You can have it there or take it home for later. A great example of an Italian Delicatessen!!

Hands down best Itallian grinder outside of NYC or Jersey. Ordered the "Classic Itallian" with oil vinegar lettuce tomato salt pepper & hands down the best hot peppers ive ever had on a sandwhich made in store.

Wow had a roast beef grinder, honestly the best grinder I have ever had. This is the standard that all grinders should be held to. Oh and the cannoli was the cherry on the cake. Wow!
