Mixed Experience - Went to Jim Boudreaus for an oil change and inspection. My car failed due to a problem with an O2 sensor (a known issue). They gave me a rejection sticker (my choice) and an estimate to repair. I felt they were honest and fair, until I did some research and discovered that the part costs anywhere from a low of $60 to a high of $109. They quoted me 242.38 for the part, plus $142.50 for installation. When I asked about the cost, they said that they needed to mark up the part and couldnt sell it to me for their cost. I understand they are a business and need to make a profit, but 100% + mark up??? They said they had no flexibility on cost of the part. Too bad, they just lost all my future business - how much was that worth? I guess they are overflowing with customers. If so, I cant figure why I can get my car in on the same day. Disappointing.

If you want an honest diagnosis of your problem this is your place. I have taken my car here twice and both times the fix has been simple and cheap. Yes Im lucky in that sense but how many places would have tacked on addition charges in order to take care of the problem? The last time my car just needed a belt tightened and they did it free of charge. They could have easily billed me $20 or more to tighten the belt or even replaced the belt altogether and convinced me it needed to be done - instead they tightened it and I was in and out in 10 minutes free of charge. They will get my business going forward....

5 stars Sue & Joe E Customer since 2012 Excellent experience. I have taken a few of my vehicles to Jim Boudreaus over the years. Both Jim and Ed always communicate what work needed to be completed with clear pricing. The work was performed in a timely manor, no surprises when the final bill was given. Very competent mechanics, a clean and safe comfortable environment. I started with the oil change special you set an appointment I decided to wait for my vehicle in their waiting room, you feel like your in your own living-room while you wait. I would recommend to all!

I went to a local mechanic(to remain nameless) for my C4 Vette running rough. Went back to this guy 3 times in three years and still ran rough. I was reluctant to go to Boudreaus because I thought he might not be familiar with C4s like my former mechanic claimed. Well, Jim did a great job diagnosing the problem and took care of business. They are not cheap, but remember folks, you get what you pay for....and in Jims case it is so true...plus the work is guaranteed. For the first time in three years I can drive my car with confidence.....Thanks Jim!

Interesting, took my car in for a sticker and they told me I needed new ball joints for $800 and new brakes. I had the ball joints replaced since they said it was unsafe and would not be able to give me a sticker. Not sure if they used the correct parts. Got my sticker. Then took car to ford dealership. Guess what I did not need new brakes, still dont need new brakes several months later. Not sure if I even need new ball joints. Would not trust them based on that. It was a very expensive sticker.

My family has been taking our vehicles to Jim Boudreaus for a long time and have been completely satisfied with the service and price. I would highly recommend them to everyone!

Ive been taking my vehicles to Boudreaus for over 20 years. I always do make an appointment so Ive never had to wait an inordinate amount of time. The place is always clean and the guys are all personable - a lot more so than in some other places. I could take my car someplace closer to home but I feel I get a good deal at Boudreaus.

I have been going there since I moved to Tewksbury in 1994. I cant say enough good things about this place. When there is something wrong with my car, they let you know if it needs immediate attention or if it can be put off. Never any pressure to fix your car. Needless to say friends and family members also go there.

Ed and the staff handled the oil, lube and filter change on our Honda in a timely and professional manner. They also removed my snow tires and mounted and balanced my summer tires. They were courteous and service minded as usual. Signed ... A loyal customer for more than 20 years!

They wont work on any specialty cars or cars that are low, or expensive as they dont want to be liable. Only if you have a cheap car will they touch it. I even offered to sign a waiver. Stubborn old man, cant imagine how he built race cars if he cant even lift a car properly..

I only go there for their $19 oil change. I must say that their "multi-point inspection" has turned up real things that needed to get fixed, and they didnt pressure me to get it fixed by them. So it was a good deal.
