Charged me $44.00 to "fix" my air conditioning which wasnt blowing cold. Turns out neither Jason or his father who works for him are qualified to do this work, but told me by adding canned freeon it would blow much colder. When my friend took my pick-up truck back, Jason was extremely defensive, then stating that he doesnt fix air conditioners, but would not refund what he charged me. Took it a few days later to a qualified air conditioning mechanic, and there was no problem with the air conditioning system itself. It had been overfilled with freeon, to about twice as much as the manufacturer calls for, which will cause such a problem. Thankfully in my case this didnt occur, but doing this can completely destroy a vehicles air conditioning system in some cases. Once drained and filled with real freeon, not the canned stuff mixed with oil, the air conditioning is blowing as cold as the day I purchased the vehicle. Mechanics who perform work they arent qualified to do, charge for it, refusing to admit their shortcomings when confronted by it, and given the opportunity to make right by refunding for work performed which didnt fix the problem are nothing short of rip off artists. Congratulations Jason (and Dad) for being just that, and giving honest mechanics a bad name. Do yourself a favor, and avoid these two want-to-bes at all costs. Find a qualified mechanic to do your repair work; one who will admit up front that there may be certain things he/she cannot fix, and perhaps directing you to some place that can.

I am stranded with a broken suspension, the parts to replace it and no where to fix it. They were so cheap that they refused to work on it because they could not charge me way too much for the parts I already had. Very unprofessional, there is a price for everything, and I was willing to pay more than the hourly service charge, but the man on the phone wanted nothing more than to tell me he would not do it. Rude and unprofessional.

I have used G & S Auto Repair for many years. As long as they stay in business, I will not use another repair shop. These people will never attempt to sell you a part or service you do not need. They provide expert service in a quick, efficient manner. This father and son team are trustworthy, honest, reliable, and talented.
