Although I have just recently started going to Planet Fitness in Waltham I have found the PF staff to be very friendly, very helpful in answering any questions I have. I find it to be satisfactory clean. I have noticed that the PF users make sure they wipe down the machines after using. I was on the bike and if used properly it gives you your heart rate, distance traveled, amount of time on machine and calories burned. There are plenty of machines to use. I have gone to another planet fitness.. A newer one. Are there plus sides, yes. Waltham has individual showers for the women and doors on them. I wish the changing stalls were a little bigger, but they are ok. The newer one has individual showers with a plastic curtains and larger changing stalks. I prefer the doors in Waltham on the showers. Im not thrilled with where the tanning booths are in Waltham. I do like how the newer PF has individual rooms for tanning. For 20.00 a month for "black" membership I find it very reasonable and Im sorry I didnt start going sooner! I did start going with a friend who walked me thru many of the machines. I would hope that if I had questions on a specific machine that the staff would be knowledgeable. The machines do not seem old like some other people have commented on them being. Wifi worked for me perfectly. Steve the manager was very helpful when I had a question regarding the "black" membership, since the newer PF had told me I could only go to their PF 10x on a black membership. The newer PF did not tell me 10x per month, just said 10x. That is a big difference... Only 10x versus 10x per month.

I like this place but they have some lucrative methods that kind of taint my whole experience in retrospect. I was a Black Card member for two years or so and wanted to downgrade to the $10 plan because I was moving elsewhere but still wanted to go occasionally. You cant do that without paying ANOTHER annual fee....seriously? Now, Im at another PF and havent been to this one in 6 months and thats easy money for them and 100% my fault. I finally stop procrastinating and try to cancel it and they need me to go there in person or send a certified piece of mail to cancel a $10/month membership...you guys have my phone number on record and my bank account number on file, why cant I just repeat some personal information over the phone? like thats not good enough to prove my identity for a 10 dollar plan? I probably could cancel my $15 Netflix account with my eyes closed and hands tied behind my back. I agree with Suresh..Im tired of this consumer abuse..and all the potholes and speedbumps definitely contributed to my $400 muffler repair as it was completely dislodged from the car. I liked this gym and would recommend it, but dont get too comfortable with the idea that youre saving a lot of money because thats when theyll (or youll) get you.

Literally the worst gym that I have ever been to. The manager needs to be fired. I was told that my membership would automatically end in november, so I stopped going at the end of october and switched to WOW. I checked my bank account mid March and noticed that I was still being charged the monthly fee of $20. I tried to call and explain this problem to the manager, and he wouldnt hear me out. Even after I told the manager that one of his workers was the one that told me that the membership would end. I lost out on $80 for this gym that continues to remove the weights out of the weight room and does not update any of the amenities. All other planet fitnesses are immaculate and this one is very lacking. I cannot stand the fact that the manager does not listen to his customers and I even contacted The Corporate office and have yet to hear from them. Definitely do not recommend this gym to anyone. MANAGER NEEDS TO GO

I have been a member for several years. There isnt anything special when it comes to Planet Fitness, its just a gym with basic equipment which is fine with me considering I paid only $99 for the entire year. For that kind of money you are lucky to get one or two months at other gyms. Overall, the gym could be cleaner and it could use some new ellipticals, but its really not that bad. To sum it up, if you only care about basic gym equipment (machines, free weights, treadmills, ellipticals, etc.), then save yourself some money and give Planet Fitness a shot. If you want a pool, classes, basketball courts or any type of racquet sport, look elsewhere.

This gym is very close to where I live. Although the gym is good and boosts up your motivation seeing lot of people working hard in cardio area, but the staff is equally arrogant and very irresponsible. They do not treat customers as well as their guests properly. Luckily, I am a black card holder so I have used PF at other locations (Braintree MA, Minneapolis MN) and I can surely say that staff at other location were much more attentive and polite than here. Its a good working out area for its price if you can ignore staff!

Place is good enough but the manger Mike is worst! He did not do the paperwork on time and I was charged for another month. I had to call him to cancel the membership. Later he keeps saying I emailed to the regional manager. Where in the world is the regional manager who does not respond to the emails? I guess he is paid not to respond :). After 5 months, I am still waiting for the money to be refunded. Corporate is much worse! They dont have a customer care number. Email to someone and they will repond when they have time.

My biggest issue is the bathroom. 1 urinal and one stall, are you serious? The shower was horrible! One big group shower, is it still 1970? Cmon! Even worse, 3 of the shower heads are directly in line with the bathroom mirror so its close to impossible to avoid seeing brown eyes, twigs and berries. No one was at the counter when I first got there, upon scanning the room I found it was because the dude was on an elliptical not paying attention. THis place needs a serious over haul

I am a member of some other PF facility. The Waltham gym is nice but the staff are not cordial. Then look down on people who are not member of this facility and behave a bit rudely. I am so tired of businesses treating customers poorly. The gym is quite crowded on peak hours and also good luck finding parking near the facility at this time. The road leading to the gym is full of deadly potholes. Its like driving through a mine field each time. Also I would like to see some rowing machines.

Not good. The treadmills were old and didnt give heart rate or calorie info. All the equipment seemed old and beat up, not to mention the grime in every corner of every machine I used. Bits of paper towel all over the floor and garbage in the drink holders. Also a weird smell hits you upon entry. Im not a member of this gym, just an out of town visitor from another planet fitness whos moved into the area. I will be not be returning to this facility.
