I had my hair colored on my birthday at this salon by Brittany, and I was very disappointed with almost every aspect of the experience. Expensive, poor quality, uncooperative stylist (colorist?). Although she seemed to be working very hard to accommodate me, Brittany proved impossible to work with on deciding a hair color. I came in prepared with several photos of a medium red color and after much back and forth we somewhat settled on a hair color sample. Admittedly, I was very nervous about what I anticipated to be a dramatic jump from brown to red and I think there was too much back and forth that skewed communication. However, we both agreed I would walk out of the salon a redhead. I also learned that despite the website boating $60 full colors, I was quoted $120 for my reasonably long hair. Ive paid less for a high end salon on Newbury St. It was my birthday so I reluctantly agreed, hoping it would be worth it. I walked out of the salon with light red roots and brown hair, but couldnt do anything about it for a couple days. I called back later to have them fix it, and the lady who answered was absolutely lovely and agreed to have it fixed later that week for free. When I arrived, they tried to have me pay 50% to have it fixed since it hadnt faded, and as a poor (and frustrated) college student this was not an option. I then learned because of the color applied to the hair already, the hair would remain pretty much in the same range. But I agreed regardless. I ended up with dark brown hair with a red tint and very red roots, for $120 and a lot of frustration. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

I actually wish there was a rating here marked HORRIFIC!!! Went for an afternoon of pampering...left feeling even more stressed out. The hubs bought a GC worth $300 for Christmas so I could de-stress after our wedding and the Holidays and I feel SO bad he spent $$ there. The women in the salon are caddy and whisper and giggle with one another....SO unprofessional. They have a crazy policy about cancelling your appt the day of and they cancelled part of my pampering while I was sitting there. They tried to blame their incompetence on the girls at the front counter...who by the way...were probably the closest thing to real in the whole place, NO ONE took ownership for my booking blunder and the manager was offended I did not want to come back the next day even though she was offering me a discount on a mani. I shared this experience with some of my friends and they told me not to bother going any further with this complaint. Contacting the owner would do no good I have been informed he walks around Worcester like he owns it and treats people terribly. I dont care how long this place has been in business. Treating people like second class citizens is going to eventually put this place out of business. The customer does matter and I promise I will share this experience with everyone I know. I am actually embarrassed that this place is in my hometown city. PLEASE ....when looking for a place to get pampered in Worcester avoid St. Cyr at ALL costs...you will regret it!

I had booked an appointment for a haircut at 3:00PM. I arrived around 2:00PM in order to look at hair style magazines. The atmosphere in the salon was sterile to say the least and after checking in with the receptionist, I felt totally invisible as no one acknowledged my presence! At about 2:55PM the stylist who was supposed to cut my hair came out and informed me that she was waiting for her 2:00PM "regular" customer who had not showed up or had the courtesy to call to say she would be late. At 3:00PM the 2:00PM customer finally showed up and was immediately ushered into the hair cutting area by the stylist. I had to wait until the late customer was done in order to get my hair cut. By then it was about 3:45PM. The stylist did not apologize for keeping me waiting and made me feel as if cutting my hair was a chore and not her livelihood. Needless to say, she rushed to cut my hair and I left the salon feeling quite unhappy with the whole experience. I would not recommend this salon to anyone!

Ive been to a few places to get spa treatments, This was one of the better places Ive gone to. The atmosphere I admit isnt the best, the whole intercom alerting clients are there thing, takes away from a relaxing environment. The building is rather old and not in perfect condition. But the facial I got was amazing. The girl was very nice, she made small talk with me so i didnt feel like I was in a room with a robot, yet at the same time didnt make me feel like i was in an interview. I got my hair done here twice. Both times were decent, they took the time to listen to what I wanted, offered suggestions, unlike other places Ive gone to that just do whatever they want. Good place I recommend, but take into consideration the old building and intercom system.

I wouldnt even put it on a rating map. They were terrible. We were there for a girlfriends party and they were mean looking, had absolutely no smiles on their face and were not accomodating at all. We had already heard from one client that they behaved differently towards people of color and we thought that was just an opinion but OMG...it felt so unreal. It was dissapointing. I would NEVER and would advice all colored women to STAY AWAY from this spa. We kept seeing white folks coming in and were treated differently. Disgusted and by the way after seeing the nail work one of my friends got, you are better off going to a chinese or vietnamese place (No creativity)

The staff of St. Cyr are friendly and accommodating to everyone. The facials are relaxing and rejuvenating. The product and way they wax leaves your skin smooth and beautiful. The hairstylist are kind and able to style as requested. There is free ample parking in the back of St Cyr, The salon appears classy and clean. The staff is usually friendly and offers coffee, tea or water. They try to schedule your appointment as soon as possible if the one you request is not available. Ive seen some of the other reviews. I believe that everyone has their perspective. If a person wants to see good regardless of the situation they are able to make it a great experience.

Im a long time customer - 9+ years. The services is always friendly and excellent. Crissie is the best stylist ever! She is so talented in cuts, color and I always get compliments on my hair. The receptionists always call before an appointment to remind me and I also get a text (at my request). I havent had a facial lately, but when I did, I was very happy. Similarly, I was happy with my most recent manicure. Marlene is a fabulous massage therapist- she listens and suggests and always make sure Im comfortable. I cant say enough good things about St. Cyr. I recommend them to everyone I know.

I had a Full Foil, Tone, cut and Style by Marsha, and she was GREAT!! So easy to work with, she really knows how to give you buttery soft highlights, and shes a wiz with that dryer!! Thank You So Much Marsha!! You were great.. What kinda perterbed me was I made the appointment last month, the price the receptionest quoted me a price, then mention they were going to raise them soon... My appointment was canceled BY SY CYR...I just feel I should get the price I was quoted ... But, the stylest was great, and I even had a tomato basil pizza, and it was so good!! Great experience, and I will be back!!
