Stay away-we spent over $650 in the past four months here-when we are busy we get our laundry + clothes cleaned a lot. I dropped off a $100 load of laundry-only to realize after I picked up and went to wear my gorgeous BRAND NEW Lands End Canvas button down shirt (that was $45) that something horrible happened when they cleaned it-greyish blue marks all over the collar, down the front, and down the back of the shirt. Almost like it bled. I took the shirt in a few days later with my next load of laundry and the girl at the desk said it was most likely build up of their cleaning solution and she would look into it. I asked nicely for her to take $30 off my current bill to make up for it, since it was clearly ruined and not "solution build up" and we spend a MINT with them. She refused, said the owner was not there for me to speak too, but she would have her call me. I decide to wait, so they can try to fix it (even though I know its hopeless). Well a week and a half go by, and surprise! No call! I go in today to see what the deal is, and the same girl tells me the owner says its my fault-the stains smell like Hairspray. What a total crock. And low and behold, the owner isnt there again to talk to. She is never there. The girls are always totally un-helpful and beyond rude. Live and learn-dont go here. I should have listened when they ruined my good friends wedding dress by WASHING it years ago and she never got a penny. She told me not to use them but I didnt listen since they are so close to my home. I will never, ever return here. They can keep my ruined shirt. Its not worth my time to fight with them as I have more important things to do in life than try to eek $10 out of their dry cleaning insurance for my $45 shirt. You will be fine if you get lucky and never have an issue to complain about, but heaven help you if you ever have an issue. Their customer service is horrid. *update-owner called me today to again accost me of ruining my own shirt with Hairspray. What a joke!*

Have not had any issues with dry cleaning although it is pricey. However, NEVER take alterations here. I took two pairs of pants here to get shortened. On the first try, both pairs of pants were much too long. I took the pants back and explained that I had them altered at Iris Dry Cleaners and that they were too long and that I would like them fixed. When I went to pick up the fixed pants, I was charged $28, on top of the $28 I originally paid. I talked to the owner and she said because I did not say they were a "redo" I would need to pay. Apparently, the woman with whom I spoke on the prior visit did not understand that the pants were originally altered there. There is a language barrier as she is foreign and does not speak much English. When I explained this to the owner, she still required that I pay the additional charge. When I got home and tried on the now twice-altered pants, one pair was way too short, showing close to an inch between the bottom of the pants and the start of my shoes. I again went back to Iris Dry Cleaners and spoke to the owner. She told me the pants I brought were not the ones that she altered and said she would not fix the pants without an additional charge. So I am out $56 for one pair of pants that fits and one that I will need to get fixed at another shop. Disappointed with my experience and will never go back to Iris Dry Cleaners.

This place is out of my way but I take my dry-cleaning here anyway. The first reason I like going here is that their methods are eco-friendly. The second reason is they do affordable alterations here. The tailor isnt around that often but if you know what measurements you want and leave it with them, it comes back exactly as you asked. They will hem jeans with the original hem for a much more reasonable price than some of the overpriced boutiques around here. Third, the service is great. They are friendly and prompt. The last time I took something in I noticed when I got it back there were still a few spots on it, when I pointed it out, she quickly marked all the spots with tape, told me they would re-do it for free and that it would ready the next day. They made no excuses about the spots like some other places try to, saying they might be too difficult to get out or it was my fault in some way. They got the spots out with no excuses.

They threw away my wedding veil and the quality canvas bag that I dropped off my wedding dress and veil in. They still charged me for cleaning my dress. I filled out the claim form that they required for their insurance, with supporting documentation for they cost of my veil. To say that this was inconvenient is an understatement. Dealing with this Iris/veil issue has taken me hours! Then the owner, who claims she was unable to get reimbursement from her insurer, gave me a check for pennies on the dollar for the cost to replace my veil. She said "it was the best she could do." After throwing away my *wedding veil*! Some nerve! I would never ever use this place again! Terrible customer service and, worst of all, they throw away your stuff, charge you full price, and dont seem to care!

Stopped going there after they lost my entire load of cleaning. Had some rare expensive irreplaceable flannel shirts and tailored dress pants. I returned on pickup day but without my pickup receipt. After giving them phone number and ID they said there was no such dry cleaning there. I went back the next day and asked them to check again. They were rude and gave same answer. About 6 months later I received a phone call that they recovered my receipt, but my clothes were given away for failure to claim. I lost $450 dollars from this cleaners and got a weak sorry and after visit to see about remedy they said theres nothing they can or would do. They have only one advantage - location. I do not recommend this cleaners they have problems. Go somewhere else.

Its hard to believe these reviews are for the same place Ive used for the past 4 years for excellent dry cleaning and precise alternations. Ive had pants hemmed, wide leg trousers tapered, dresses nipped and tucked. Yes they are expensive but the service by Mrs. Choi and her staff have been wonderful. Im grateful this place is in my neighborhood. As for the language barrier, there are those for whom English is not their first language but welcome to the new world where many of the people we interact with on a daily basis are not native English speakers. But those who work here know English. The kindness with customers and the amazing classical music thats often playing are appreciated and easily translated.
