Updated! Now rated 1 star down from 5 stars! You will see what a difference has happened in this place if you can read through to the first review, below (there are two here and this is the latest one)...I dont know why...but ever since Dawn and the others left their positions overseeing this post office, everything has gone down hill tremendously. The only people who remain who are knowledgable are Jeff, Calvin and Ann. Maybe I am not remembering one or two others, but I cannot believe how much this place has changed. It saddens me. I use this branch every other day. I signed up for the UPS and Fed-Ex delivery system that they offered perhaps 2 yrs ago. I was one, if not the first, to do so. It was great until Dawn left...Jeff is the only one who knows where anything is at that place now. If he not there, even when I have documentation and proof of signature, it can take days for most new staff to find the parcel. I had several overnight Fed-Ex deliveries lost for days. Staff try to find these...they do try...but for some reason, eventually it becomes someone elses fault and they shrug. There is now a complete lack of enthusiasm. For me, now three deliveries are presently lost. One was UPS signed for at 6 days ago by Patterson, but there was no parcel notice in my box. When I asked to speak with the postmaster Diane or the assistant Melinda, I stood at the counter for 30 minutes. No one came. Ann apologized profusely and was embarrassed. I left. I went back to work and called asking for someone to call me back. I was put on hold until I gave up. Many excuses, many apologies...I was told they are interviewing and did not have time to speak with me. Same story this a.m. again..doing interviews, no time to talk. I still do not have at least three items...**two are general USPS deliveries**...one was due 3 weeks ago to my post office box...the other is a UPS delivery again signed for with proof of delivery. No help at all. I simply do not know what to do at this point and it greatly saddens me (in comparison to review below) but my problems have been placed at the bottom of their To Do List now, even though my post office box is right there next to them...in that building! It is such a shame. I need this place for my business...and no one seems to care there any more.... Oh, as you can see...what a great change there has been. When Dawn and the others went to new positions at other branches, we actually all stood around and hugged one another good-bye like old friends. At one time, it there were plants outside on the sidewalk and dishes of water for dog walkers. But now, there is nothing and barely service at that. I was told that Jeff will be out of the office at another branch for several weeks. I cannot tell you how concerned I am about deliveries until he returns. When I went to send out parcels for my business,no one seemed to understand how to put even signature confirmation on a box. I now use the automated machines in the lobby because they are more accurate. Hopefully, PLEASE make the changes and without excuses and blaming someone else. I am absolutely disappointed.Thank you...and again...with regret. REVIEW: I typically do not write reviews, but this is a must. The individuals at this particular branch are amazing. I ship from here at all hours and nearly every 2 days...sometimes every day... and find that they are always professional and always cheerful, even during those times when they have good reason not to be. I disagree with others here who have left negative reviews. The job at working with the public in general is not an easy one. No. Also to note, this particular branch has **never** lost anything forever. Yes, there have been moments when one or two of the hundreds of items Ive received and shipped were way laid for some reason...but Dawn went right to work and found these within hours or two days at the most. They are a great group...and I feel secure and confident in their work whenever I ship through this branch! Five stars plus 2 thumbs up!

The people here are INCOMPETENT! Issue #1 -- We moved to a new place where the mailboxes are owned by USPS and they are responsible for getting the keys for residents once a work order is placed. Before I went to the post office to place a work order request, I spent some time at my leasing office to get a copy of the lease, thinking I would need to show proof of residency. Well, I wasted a bunch of time doing that because the gentleman at the service counter NEVER ASKED for proof of residency. I felt like he did not know what he was doing and that my key was not going to arrive any time soon. I waited a week. No key. I called the PO and no one had any knowledge of where my work order was. This was no surprise because I felt in this situation, my business was mishandled from the beginning. I believe this to be a huge problem for their "protocol." I could have been a crazy ex-girlfriend to the real resident at this address and would have had access to the ex-boyfriends mail. Anyone see a problem with that? Issue #2 --- I ordered a bunch of stuff online. Some packages were held at the post office (at no charge) for me to pick up. Some packages were delivered/forwarded to me new address at a charge. Well, I should have been made aware of the charge prior to the packages getting forwarded. I had already paid the shipper (groupon) for delivery of my goods. This was not the fault of the carrier and I spent my Saturday talking to 2 very incompetent individuals on my doorstep about what good customer service is and how it should be handled. Good news is, Groupon has GREAT customer service and they refunded THE ENTIRE COST of the items and I get to keep them! THUMBS UP GROUPON - THUMBS DOWN POST OFFICE! ! !

EVERY SINGLE TIME my wife or I visit this place we vow to never return, but you know, it is the post office so ya kind of have to. Cant wait until the branch closings take effect and all of the miserable people that work at the USPS can be at home and make their loved ones feel like crap. What happens behind the closed doors at this branch that makes the folks that work here such surly, non-caring jerks. There is are real nice guy that works there that says something off color to my wife every time she has to visit to the point that she wont even go there anymore. So I get to deal with these jerks. I always cross my fingers that my package will even make it to its location in one piece after a recent string of breaks of items I had marked as fragile, or gift cards that mysteriously disappear at the ypsi sorting office. Some folks that work for the USPS are nice- the ones at this branch are not. No point in trying to call and complain, as the rest of the reviews say here, they wont answer. Who knows what would happen anyway since the nice immigrant working the counter doesnt seem to understand the word tracking and would rather smack on taffy and chuck your box labelled fragile into a bin. :( Gonna try and go up the chain a bit on this one and let someone else higher up know. My cousin works for the USPS in a branch in Georgia and he is baffled by our experiences, suggesting it is a problem specific to our location. Shut it down!
