I can’t say enough good things about the staff at Quality Foreign Car Service. In early February, in 12 degree weather, I couldn’t get my 2008 Saab to start. After Googling “Saab repair shops near me” and crossing my fingers, I had my car towed to QFCS. I dropped my car off with Chris at 3:30pm, and he called me with his initial assessment by 5:30pm. They ended up having my car for a full week while trying to diagnose my car’s issue, and they kept me fully updated the entire time. Chris and Wayne both took the time to fully explain to me what they were able to find, what it could mean, and the best options for fixing it. They were even kind enough to take calls from my father, who wanted to make sure his daughter was getting the right information and the best service available. When I was able to pick up my Saab a week later, Chris and Wayne had a lengthy discussion with my partner and I about what they found and they gave us wonderful advice on how to proceed. And for having my vehicle for a full week, they charged me a very reasonable rate and that I know I wouldnt be able to find anywhere else. Right from the get-go when I went to Quality Foreign Car Service, I was met with kind, intelligence, and incredibly professional service – if my next car is a foreign model, I will absolutely be bringing them my future business.

within a week after moving to Royal Oak, my 2000 V W Jettas cooling system broke. I had dealt with this problem before but the process wasnt as fast, easy, and inexpensive as when i brought my car to the guys at Quality Foreign Car Service. Quality Foreign Car Service had my car fixed and ready for pick-up in less than 24 hours after having it towed there. The mechanics there fixed only what i needed repaired for a reasonable price opposed to doing a bunch of work that isnt necessary and giving me an absurd bill to pay. Quality Foreign Car services mechanics knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it. They clearly have the knowledge and confidence along with the resources to deal with complicated foreign engines. I could tell that Qualitys mechanics, unlike probably 90% of the other mechanics i could of taken my car too, were not trying to take advantage of me. I would highly recommend Quality Foreign Car Service to anyone with a foreign car, especially a European brand. They were fair, honest, and resourceful. After today, i will not likely take my car to any other service.

After needing a second opinion following an extremely high dealer estimate, I took my car to Wayne and his amazing team at Quality Foreign Car Service. Not only did they thoroughly inspect the dealers estimate, but clarified exactly what should be expected of the part in question, taking time out of their completely booked schedule to meet with me, photograph the engine, and send me duplicates. Wayne and his team went above and beyond, performing additional labor to inspect my car and compare notes with the dealers opinion. My only regret is that I had not found them sooner! Wonderful, informative, and attentive service, I would highly recommend to anyone in need of an honest opinion and quality work!

Wayne and the guys at Quality Foreign Car Service are the best around! If you have an older or even newer foreign car, dont take it anywhere but here. I had an 89 Volvo 240 10 years ago and they were the only ones who could keep it running for a fair price. The same is true today; i now drive a 90 Volvo 240 with a finicky fuel injection system and the guys here did everything they could to get it to work and still charged me an exceptionally fair price. They also replaced the u-joints and bearing on my driveshaft and the work is completely sound. If you want quality and most important honest work done, i wouldnt trust anybody else.

I have been going to Quality Foreign Car Service (QFCS) for years. This place has saved me so much money on repairs its ridiculous. Do yourself a favor.....the next time you have some car problems get a quote from your usual place then get a quote from QFCS. I bet QFCS will be 20 - 30% less then anything else out there. The owner Wayne has gone out of his way before to track down the best price on parts to keep my total costs down. The quality of work by his guys in the back of the shop are second to none. I have never had a issue or problem that involved me taking my car back b/c they didnt fix it the first time.

Wayne at Quality Foreign Car Repair has been a huge help to me. I have a 99 Volvo S80 and nobody can beat Waynes prices. And you arent compromising quality for price either. On two different occassions wayne was able to turn a $1,500+ repair quoted by the dealership into half of that. Every repair Ive had done has been done correctly with no issues down the road. There is nothing tougher than finding a good and honest repair shop, especially for foreign cars. Quality Foreign Cars fits the categories of knowing what they are doing AND being honest with competitive prices.

Exceptional honest service. Certainly know Volvos through and through. Towed my s40 to Steves European Auto. SEA wanted $491 to run simulations (after $109 "diagnosis"), when all three error codes pointed to jumped timing. So, after a phone call to Quality Foreign Car Service I towed it over. Quality Foreign Car Service replaced the tensioner pulley, aligned the timing, addressed all the error codes, and provided full diagnosis for less than SEA was charging to tell me what I already knew. Drove the s40 home 1 business day later. Straight shooter garage.

My wifes 2001 Volvo S60 needed a new timing belt. QFCS was able to do the job for less than the dealer. Not only that, QFCSs price included a new water pump and power steering pump (which the dealers price didnt include). Wayne said at 120,000+ it was only a matter of time until those parts went and it is a very labor intensive job to replace either one. By doing them at the same time as the timing belt, Wayne saved me a lot of money down the road. After talking with him for just 10 minutes I can tell he knows what he is talking about.

Wayne and everyone at Quality are outstanding. They are trustworthy, affordable, and will charge significantly less than the dealer every time. They do a great job. I agree with other posters, if you own a Volvo, you take it to these guys, no one else. I take my Inifiniti there as well and they do routine maintenance just as the dealer would at half the cost. Wayne is almost always available to give advice over the phone if its a minor issue that doesnt need to be seen. Location is close to where I work, so it works out very well.

I have been bringing my Volvos to Wayne and Chris for as long as Ive owned them - there is not a more knowledgeable shop for Volvos or any foreign make in the entire Metro area. They are honest, straightforward, and always looking out for my best interest when repairs are needed, making recommendations when things can be done cheaper or are just not needed. I trust them completely and would recommend Quality to anyone.
