Buyers beware.... We purchased a Generac standby generator 10 months ago. Fortunately we did not have any power outages during the first 10 months. Luckily I noticed that the red light was on indicating a possible problem. The service tech checked out the unit to find that the motor was no good and that a replacement motor would be shipped from Wisconsin. Two days after they removed the motor, we had a power outage! No standby generator!! Its been 10 days and we still have no functioning generator. One would think that the largest manufacturer of standby generators would have the ability to repair and or replace faulty components in less than 10 days! This is unacceptable given the incredible brand recognition and perceived quality of Generac.
