I would not recommend Italy American to anyone as it appears that they are only in business for your money. The owner Frank Mastroianni was 25 to 45 minutes late for an estimate on my familys front porch. He claimed to have been caught up in traffic. In any case, things quickly went downhill after he rudely requested more information about another project that is going to be happening soon on our property...a project in itself that will be handled by another company anyway. We did tell Frank a little bit about the second project, but did not expect him to be so interested in it. He wanted to know the full details, such as what was to be done and even what the overall cost would be! My family and I did not call this business for an estimate on this second project and therefore felt extremely uncomfortable sharing all of the details with him. Moreover, that information is frankly none of his or this companys business! If that wasnt bad enough, he was also telling us what THEY would be doing to improve our property and did not seem open to ANY of our suggestions. He also treated us as if we knew nothing about construction or measurements. Moreover, not only was the estimate price the most expensive that we have seen yet, but he also informed us that the work would take around a MONTH to complete while other companies that we have had estimates with have promised the work to be done much sooner than that! Meanwhile, Frank was the only one out of all the estimates that we have had that failed to guarantee a set price (he blamed current market conditions with cement, etc.) even though other companies that we have recently contacted have done the exact opposite. Moreover, he also failed to mention a large discount which was on their website too. Add to the fact that he was also using high pressure sales techniques to try and get us signed up the day of the estimate as well. Once we told him that we were not interested in signing up right away, he quickly collected his things, stood up, rudely pointed his finger at us and said "youll be sorry that you didnt go with us." He then gave an extremely rude reminder as to how long they have been in business. After that, he rushed out the back door and seemed visibly upset that we did not sign up with his company right away. On that note, we could honestly careless about how many years this company has been in business and were absolutely stunned at Franks unprofessional behavior during this meeting. Keep in mind that this man is the owner of this company! Simply put, if you, the owner and/or salesman show up late for your companys own estimate, are rude to customers, have workers that do shoddy work and take off early like a few others have said on here and Yelp, then I can guarantee you that you wont receive our business. In summary, these people clearly do not care about their customers. Unfortunately, and to our great disappointment, Franks behavior during this estimate meeting was like that of a classic snake oil salesman. This is NOT how a company should do business or treat its customers!

Italy American Construction recently built our 2.5 car garage, and we could not be more pleased than we are.Our salesman Mike came out to our house discussed what we wanted and worked with our budget. When construction started the cement crew came out and poured a beautiful approach and garage floor.The garage builders came out framed the garage sided it and roof it all in record time.Their electrician and plumber put the breaker box and gas line exactly were i wanted them. All of Italy American construction employees were great to deal with, but more importantly their quality of work impressed us. We have always wanted a custom garage to keep our hot rods in and now we have it. We will be having more work done on our house in the near future and for sure Italy American Construction will be the ones doing it. Joe & Kristy Attard

Horrific customer service! After two weeks of no response, we receive a call from Tom. My husband politely tells him we have another contractor. He abruptly tells my husband in a snaky tone "well thanks for the phone call!" then abruptly hangs the phone up on him. It is not our responsibility to contact a contractor who has never even been to my home to give me a quote let alone a returned phone call. Disgusting display of customer service and terrible representation of your company! IM happy I didnt hire you, God knows what kind of work you would have done with an attitude like that. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. Hire Rea and sons! They do a fantastic job!

They have done many projects for me. All excellent work and service. This review concerns the roofing of my garage. Singles keep falling off. The third time was today,and I called and am waiting a return call to resolve this. ( their computers are currently down) so I hope to have this resolved by tomorrow. I cannot continue to replace these shingles myself. Tuesday 8/23 Mike called yesterday and set up an appointment for early this morning. They were early and started fixing the issue immediately. We have contracted them for 6 jobs over the years and would not go with any other company. Thank you Italy America. Great job!

Simply they dont paint. Every aspect of the job was discussed except. Before signing I asked how much extra to paint the hallway. I was told "we dont paint." I asked"how do you finish a job?" I was given a guess of$750-$900 Labour. I still believe painting is expected in a remodeling job! As 2 other quotes included painting. I wasnt trying to Get a free paint job from you(Mike). How can I get a free paint job from a company that doesnt paint or tell you up front that they dont paint. I would have spent a lot of money and had bare walls. Deceptive practice. Im SO happy I didnt sign a contract.

A member of the family came out to evaluate our job, which was installation of decorative stair railings in our home. We never received a call back, despite our followup calls to the company. Guess they are doing so well, they dont need the little jobs, but this jerk son of the owner should have been honest about that when he was here. We formerly tried to get an estimate for replacement of drywall in three rooms of the home, and the gut that guy that time was a complete jerk also. Big for their britches but not honest.

This company recently remodeled my grandmothers roof and they did a superb job. My grandmother has had her home for over 50 years and theit was way past time for a new roof. So I contacted Italy American, they came out did an estimate, which beat everones elses price. So we hired them for the job. They came in got the job done and that was it. Now my grandmothers heat can stop escaping the house. Thanks Italy American Inc. You guys are incredible. I would highly recommend this company.

Wish I could give zero stars. Absolute nightmare. A 4-6 week project took over 3 months. Crew never worked full day. Very sloppy work. Driveway was full of cigarette butts, nails & screws. A year and half later the poor construction is really starting to show. Nail pops, crooked drywall, plumbing problems. I have a 4 section of gutter that had 22 screws dumped in it. That doesnt happen on accident. Again this was a nightmare that I wish never happened.
