I usually go to Mastercuts for my hair and eyebrows,but for a" treat" I decided to go to the "best salon in town"... Never have I experienced such terrible customer service at a salon. The stylist was out in space and couldnt hold a conversation, didnt listen to what I wanted and became frustrated when I would try to correct her. She chopped the back of my hair so short it will not stay down, and bearly cut anything on the sides. I have never had such a ridiculous looking haircut in my life. I tried to have her fix it, and she would respond." Yup"and keep doing the exact opposite of what I asked. I had requested an eyebrow wax as well, which was equally as poorly done as the haircut. I have never seen such sloppy application of wax, and she would rip the strips off so quickly none of the hair would come off. I would have been better plucking them myself. I spoke with a manager, who was no help and took all day to call me back. They offered a free haircut, but I declined. Id be better off cutting my own!

Highly disappointed in the service and treatment I received. I would steer clear of this place for nail service. I paid 60 for a full set of acrylic nail. It looked like a child did them, so i went in to have them fixed and it took almost 2 hours. They looked nice but they began to fall off because they were not fixed properly. Went back again and had 3 broken nails fixed which took another hour and a half of my time. Within a day of having them they began to crumble again. So i called and left a message for the manager. When she did not return my call. I called again and when i did speak with her i was told they would not give me a refund but they would fix them one more time but that would be it. I am not out $60 and 7 my nails are broken and look awful. I strongly discourage using design one for nails. Save your hard earned money, time and go someplace else. You will get better work and save a lot of money.

Lindsey from Design One one Plainfield is so talented! I like her because shes very honest about cuts/color that will work on curly hair/thick and what will not. She has helped me style my hair in a way that is better suited for its texture! I have had great stylists before but unfortunately they would cut my hair in a way that was not flattering for its type. Lindsey knows exactly what to do and will guide me in the right direction. She has also done wonders in the hair-coloring departed. I had very dark hair and she was able to make me close to blonde (over the course of many visits, gotta do it the healthy way!) and my hair is still very healthy! She also gave me great advice for taking care of my hair and what products she uses (she also has thick, curly hair). Plus, shes funny and easy to talk to! I would recommend her for people with any type of hair but especially for the curly-headed ladies. :)

Complimentary drinks , high end salon Staff seemed nice My niece and her friend had a down style, they both looked amazing ( great price) I would have given 5 stars but my father asked for a service, they booked the service, said a stylist would be out to get him within moments... 20 minutes later the receptionist said there was no one to do the service. My father is a burly man but sweet as pie. He went to use the bathroom and noticed several stylist available. He was very offended and hurt. Unfortunately it put a damper on our experience.

I received a gift certificate as a baby gift from some friends. A few days before I was scheduled to have my baby I went for a mani and pedi. I have never had such bad service before. The pedi was okay but nothing special. The mani was a joke, she left out half the steps like the scrub and massage and drying my nails therefore they smudged on my way out the door. If that wasnt bad enough they over charged me. Nothing like waddling in the day before a c-section to have them fix that. I have no idea how they are rated so highly.

This was my first time coming to this location. I usually go to Cascade location and am very happy with their service. I was 5 min before the appointment time for my pedicure, but they made me wait for more than 20 min. When I went to the front desk and asked what was going on, they said my appointment time had changed and called me to let me know. I was puzzled why the receptionist didnt tell me when I checked in. And why do they lie? They didnt have my phone number. I am glad I left without spending my money there.

I went in for a trim, high lights, & style. They CHOPPED my hair, you can not even SEE the high lights, and now my hair is like STRAW from the coloring they used. For they amount of money I paid I am EXTREAMLY unhappy and will NEVER go back there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT worth your hard earned money ladies!!!!! Now I know why they have all thier prices marked "and up"...they get you with hiden fees! I ended up spending over $70 more than what I had thought my total bill would be...What a rip off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing pedicure and massage! It was a surprise to even get a scrub on just a 1/2 hour massage, loved it. My feet feel and look incredible also because I tried the Margarita Pedicure -- it smelled so good and made me so relaxed while she massaged my feet too! Such a friendly and warm atmosphere -- thank you! A+ once again.

I made an appt...when i got there they said they called me to change the appt. No they didnt i went over my calls with a fine toothed combe...something they never had the chance to use on me cause i left. They actually expected me to wait 30 min!! No way. Poor poor managment.. Wow...what a bunch of liars. I wont return.

Recieved a couples massage from Courtney and my guy got his from Dana. Very nice massages. We both chose firm and firm was good enough as deep would have been an upcharge. Would definitly recommend Courtney. She was thorough and didnt talk much. Just relaxed and enjoyed. Well be back! Fyi--- $150 for a couples.

Ive been going to Design One for 30+ years, and Ive never, ever had a bad experience. Ive had everything from haircuts to highlights to a make up session and more. Ive never been disappointed with any stylist or any service. Laura is my current stylist and I HIGHLY recommend her. She knows what shes doing!

As a father not knowing much about hair I trusted them with my little girl and they were exceptional. Everybody was so nice they offered complementary drinks while I waited. They did a updo for our special occasion and I cant believe how amazing she looked. Recommend to anyone who wants to look their best

She has taken me from short hair to long hair, and everything inbetween, with great style and confidence! The support staff is just as pleasant, and very accomodating.
