Service far beyond my expectations.. I called in to the Crown Jewel last minute to book a massage appointment. They were able to get a 90 min massage book for me the following day with Anita. I was shocked that I was able to get something scheduled so quickly especially since most of the surrounding spas expect you to book several days in advance and rarely make exceptions. I arrived to my appointment and I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist. She offered to take my coat and asked if I would care for some hot tea, water or if I preferred something else. Shortly after, the owner (Julie) of the Crown Jewel came into the lobby and we engaged in a pleasant conversation. Its rare that you have the opportunity to meet the owner of a spa and it was nice to be welcomed by not only a pleasant receptionist but the owner herself. Anita joined us in the lobby and took me back for a massage. I have had several massages over the years and I have to say Anita was amazing. She is very professional and a fabulous massage therapist. I enjoyed the full body massage ....and ABSOLUTLY, hands down the best neck massage I have ever had. I was so pleased with my experience that I purchased a gift card for a friend on my way out. Thanks for the great experience! Julie you have a wonderful sap/staff and now another loyal client.

I absolutely adore Jaime Moore, who is the managing hairstylist at Crown Jewel Spa. I simply cannot praise her work enough. I came to Jaime for the first time after years of horrifying haircuts at Supercuts and other low-end, factory-style salons (honestly, I felt like I was sitting on an assembly line in those places). But after one appointment with Jaime, my haircut appointments were transformed from scarring experiences that I frequently dreaded into enjoyable times of relaxation that I looked forward to. Jaime is always eager to hear the ideas I have for my hair (Im often experimenting with new looks), and she works carefully with my particular face shape and hair color to achieve the look I want, or she advises me to consider another, more flattering cut. I am always looking for that "it" look of the moment, and I can trust that Jaime (with her frequent trips to hair shows and classes in New York, Chicago, and LA) has her finger on the pulse of cool. No matter what, I trust that I will leave with a cut that I love and that makes me look my very best.

I, honestly, do not think that you could find a better Spa and Salon other than that of The Crown Jewel in Grand Rapids! Their service and expertise goes way beyond what you would expect from a traditional hair salon. The facility, itself, gives you a sense of serenity and peace when you enter the salon greeted by soothing sounds of water and a cozy sitting area by the fire. The front desk is always very professional and offers to take your coat and get you a beverage of your choice. I have learned so much about premium hair care from my stylist and how to keep it looking its best by being a loyal customer since 2007! I typically see Melissa for my hair services but will go to ANY one of their stylists, if needed. The Crown Jewel does an amazing job of employing only THE best and continually educates them with new innovations! I have recommended many friends and family, over the years, and they all have had the same great experience as I have and made The Crown Jewel their salon as well! Keep up the great work! :)

The atmosphere was very pleasant, the message was pleasant, the after effects of the message however, was not so pleasant. In fact it was EXTREMELY painful. I asked the therapist to go easy on me since I did not want to be sore afterwards, but she must not have listened to me. I was in so much pain for SEVERAL days after, I had to use heat, take muscle relaxers and high doses of pain medication. I have had several messages in the past, and never had issues like this before. I also had a friend come here for a pedicure and ended up with a cut on her toe from over rigorous nail filing, and when she called to let the manager know, she was told that their ladies would never do something like that and she must have gotten the cut from working out too much. I would NOT recommend this place at all.

The Crown Jewel is better than any spa I have been to in Michigan and better than most I have been to on vacation. The services are incredible and the products they carry are nothing but the best. My husband treated me to a spa day, which was great. I had the Lavendar Dream Wrap, the European Deep Cleansing Facial, The Lavendar Manicure, The Lavendar Pedicure and a style. I was so impressed with my style that I switched my salon and now go here! I can not begin to tell you how friendly the staff was and how amazing my spa services were. I never thought I would find such a treasure in my own town. This is the most pampering, relaxing atmosphere in Grand Rapids. The Crown Jewel is truly first class! - Nicole

Ive been going to the Crown Jewel for about 4 years now every 4 weeks for a haircut. If you are a guy looking for a great haircut, go see Maliree. Youre relaxed the moment you walk in the front door. Waterfalls, usually a hot hand towel for your face and hands, and an offer of coffee, tea or some kind of flavored water. Maliree simply does a great mans haircut. She takes her time and pays attention to the details. I think the extra long hair wash with temple massage adds value as well. Strongly recommend the Crown Jewel

Nice setting, although the two stylists I went to were inexperienced with blonde subtle balayage technique. I was specific with wanted I wanted and brought photos of the technique. My hair was over processed and brassy, then corrected with dye and toner which made it a muddled color. The owner was not willing to correct a third time or refund my money for service. I would not recommend for blonde balayage.

My girlfriends and I had the place to ourselves for our ladies day/bachelorette spa day and it was amazing! The staff went above and beyond, topping off our wine and grabbing our snacks from our room. We each got a massage, facial, and pedicure...everyone enjoyed all their services. The atmosphere was great and Id recommend this spa to anyone who is looking for a truly luxurious experience.

I have always hated my super thick and curly hair. It was completely unmanagable... until I met Jamie! I absolutely LOVE my hair now, and Jamie has helped me learn to manage it myself. I look forward to going to hair appointments now, whereas I used to dread and put them off. I feel like a new woman! The spa is so lovely and relaxing! I would reccommend it and Jamie to anyone! I have been to The Crown Jewel twice since moving from Miami. I have found the staff and services there as good as any spa in South Florida. I have seen Rebecca for massage and skin treatment twice. She is extremely good and very educated and pleasant to talk to. I have also had Melissa do my nails and found her to be delightful as well. I go when ever my finances permit!
