Studio 33 is a fantastic place to learn how to dance. I took my first lesson over 7 years ago and have loved every minute of my dancing at the Studio. On my first lesson, I had 3 left feet, and no sense of timing. Now I can ask someone to dance who I have never met and lead them in a dance. Studio 33 teaches you how to be a dancer. Your instructor concentrates not only the “steps” for a given dance but how to move your body, lead and follow. Once you know the fundamentals of dancing you will learn new steps faster and enjoy your dancing more. All of the instructors are very friendly and professional. Instructors also take the time to determine how you learn and what methods are best to teach you a new dance step. Your dance instruction is primarily done through private lessons 50 minutes long. During this time, you have one on one time with your instructor where you can concentrate on new steps and anything you are having problems with. You are taught at the pace you need. In addition to private lessons, there are group classes. I love the group classes because we spend the time on one dance and can really concentrate on one to three steps. The cost of your dance program is very reasonably priced considering quality one on one instruction and the group classes. The instructors and clients make the atmosphere at the studio is very friendly and supportive. It feels like home.

I recently completed the introductory lesson plan from Studio 33 Ltd. and although my instructor was a good teacher, I was dissatisfied with the cost of the program. Ive been dancing all my life, and I know that I can receive similar instruction for half the cost. They also did not adapt to my skill level to my satisfaction - stating that we would get to harder steps after I paid more money (they quoted a $1200 tuition for my next 21 classes). The instructor also took 10 minutes out of most of my 50 minute lessons to sell the next lesson plan. I would recommend this place for people who have a more difficult time picking up dance because the pace is adequate for beginners, and the instructors explain the steps very well. I would not recommend it for those who have significant experience dancing, or a starving bank account.

If you want to learn to ballroom dance, this is the place to be! Have been taking lessons for a while now and I still LOVE it! The instructors are wonderful, patient and kind. I like the way they refer to you as Mr &/or Miss~I see it as a sign of respect for all. Having been to all of the studios in town, I can honestly say that Studio 33 has the best dance floor and the ambiance of the studio far surpasses all of the others. I have made many lasting friendships from the people Ive met at Studio 33 ~ its so nice to connect with people that have varying interests from mine ~ and the instructors make it a point to introduce everyone. I plan to continue with the Studio for as long as I can. Thank you Studio 33 for making my life so very fulfilled!

The kind, loving atmosphere of not only the owner and instructors, but of the other students is beyond comprehension. Totally professional, thorough, flexible and they actually make good on their promises. Kalamazoo is lucky to have such a fine venue for people like me who are learning to dance....more people should learn about this place. Everyone gets along here like they are long lost friends. This place has literally changed my life. Thank you.

HORRIBLE! Unprofessional, high-pressure tactics. The dancing was actually quite nice, but the sales clerk (aka instructor) was very rude when we wouldnt pay on the spot for 7 lessons, at a rate of $500. I told her we didnt even have a checkbook with us, and they told us to go to an ATM!!! Just very smarmy, unprofessional, and unfortunate. Were looking for a new instructor!

Very professional and highly educated in the world of ballroom dance. This is a great place to study the art of ballroom dance, either as a couple or a single adult. Very friendly staff and students. Beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. Great music and lots of activities to keep you involved with your dancing. I love this place and would recommend it to everyone!

Studio 33 is the place to go if youre looking for top-notch dance instruction. The staff is patient, and extremely professional. The ballroom is roomy, clean, and beautifully decorated. Dancing is a really fun way to get (and stay) in shape .. plus, it has really boosted our confidence. We love it!

Love this place. Experienced and professional instructors. Very talented and they demonstrate the true art of proper ballroom dance. I recommend Studio 33 Ltd. highly and hope everyone has a chance to learn ballroom dance here. Great parties and lots of couples and single people as students.

This place definitely changed my life. It gives me a place to feel comfortable and get a great deal of exercise. The staff is very friendly and patient. I didnt think anyone could teach me to dance but they make it fun and easy.
