Please do not let yourself of your loved one go to this dealership for service because they will rip you off in cold blood without blinking an eye. My ill-advised grandmother that only trusts dealerships to maintain her 99 Camry took her car in to diagnose a brake hissing noise. The dealership looked it over and told her she needed to replace the power brake booster with a new part to the tune of $960 for just that part, plus $200 in labor to install it. On a car that is worth $5000. Yes, the actual list price for this part is actually $960 for whatever asinine reasons and they act like this is completely normal for an old lady to pay. Of course my grandmother not knowing any better agreed pay the dealer to order the part and bring her car back in after the part arrives. Then she tells me afterward how much it was going to cost and then I feel sick for her. After researching the issue on the internet, the hissing can be related to the brake booster, however the common failure modes are typically a vacuum line leak or a gasket failure between the brake booster and master cylinder. When I talked to the service department, they do not even consider trying to fix the problem with the $2 gasket and will only try to fix the problem with the $1000 part. They told me they saw the booster leaking, but wouldnt tell me where from. If it is leaking at the attachment point to master cylinder, then I would logically believe that the gasket has failed. Yes the brake booster can still be at issue and need to be replaced, however boosters are typically much more robust parts than the gasket or vacuum connections and so it is less likely the part that needs to be replaced. In either case, my issue with this dealer is that they dont even consider the cheaper fixes first or offer to replace the part with a professionally remanufactured part that can be bought for as cheap as $150. In fact, the parts department acted like remanufactured parts dont even exist unless some private party had a hobby to rebuild a brake booster by hand and sell them on craigslist. Yeah, Im sure the part I can go to OReilly Auto Parts and buy off their shelf right now is rebuilt by some Joe Schmo in his garage. After all of this, I made my grandmother go back to the dealer the next morning and cancel the order on the expensive brake booster part. No surprise, they "have" to charge her a 20% restocking fee for the part she hasnt even gotten to see yet.... yeah thats $200 they had charged her with the holidays coming up to have to put a part back on the shelf... Congratulations scumbag dealership, you got your $200 from her that you were going to make anyway from the ridiculously priced new brake booster. I hope this teaches my grandmother that not even dealerships can be trusted, or at least call me before agreeing to swipe her card for such expensive parts. We are going to find her a nice little shop that will happily work on her car and treat her like a normal person that wont have to pay outlandish prices to keep her vehicle on the road. So please do not let your loved ones get their cars fixed from McInerney Toyota on Gratiot in Clinton Township.

UNORGANISED, INCONSIDERATE AND SLOW I went to this location on Hall Rd to look at a used GM vehicle that was advertised on their website but the vehicle was at their lot in Clinton Twp. and it took about 15 minutes for them to figure out where the vehicle was. The salesman informed us we had to follow him to the Clinton Twp. location and their unorganized dealership wasted a lot of my time. By the time I drove to their other lot in Clinton Twp., test drove it and agreed on a price, it was too late in the day to purchase it and take it home that day after filling out the paper work. It was a GM vehicle so the next day I asked the salesman about the GM certified warranty but he couldnt certify it because its not a GM dealer and he failed to tell me their GM dealer on the west side has the same vehicles at the same prices and are GM Certified at no extra charge. That is a 6 year/100,000 drive train warranty. And their crappy banks they deal with approved me at 6%. The last vehicle I financed at 3% and my credit score is higher now so I told Pete, the salesman, I wanted to contact my bank to get a better rate. Today I called the salesman a few times to discuss the warranty but he was busy so I spoke to a couple of managers concerning the warranty and finally the third time I called, someone mentioned the third party warranty I could purchase. The salesman finally called me back later in the evening after the dealer was closed and said he was still there because he sold a couple of vehicles and was too busy to call me back earlier, so I asked him about the warranty and how much it was, and he told me I would have to ask someone else. I asked him if he would be there the following day so I could purchase the third party warranty and he said "yes but unfortunately I sold the vehicle." He should have told me that at the beginning of the call and he could have had some consideration to call me back before selling the vehicle to someone else after. I filled out the paper work and they ran my credit and approved me. Inconsiderate. And the managers knew I called and asked about the warranty and said the salesman was busy so they knew I was interested in purchasing the vehicle but they sold it to someone else anyways. Bad customer service. Apparently they wanted to rip me off with the third party warranty right when I was paying for the vehicle when they have the same vehicles at their GM dealership that are GM Certified warranty at no extra charge. Im so glad I took my time and didnt let Pete mislead me and rip me off with a third party warranty. I will never go to a foreign dealer to purchase an American made car ever again.

Hal and Mackenzie did an exceptional job assisting my husband and I in the lease of a 2016 Hybrid Camry. They showed compassion, understanding, and listened while I asked them many questions, asked for safety information, price comparisons between 5 different Toyotas. We chose the 2016 Hybrid Camry which has a 5 star safety rating and 10 air bags. It is a sharp looking car, roomy, comfortable and Im loving that it comes in a hybrid. I owned a 2014 Prius and was unfortunately rear ended and my car was totaled. A lot of fear now accompanies me in being inside a vehicle. Hal and Mackenzie were great listeners, showed genuine compassion in my situation and were on board to help my husband and I obtain a vehicle I am working on feeling safe inside. I am not able to drive yet but once I am medically stable and emotionally ready to drive I am looking forward to the baby steps toward driving one day and knowing I will be in a very safe vehicle. My husband loves the way the car drives, it is quiet, smooth and comfortable. Even with my limited ability to sit for very long I can tell its going to be a great car. Dont drive distracted its not worth it. It can really cause someone else a lot of pain, cause them to miss out on life, hurt their income. Pull over to a safe place if you must read a text or write a text back. Dont make or take calls while driving unless you have the blue tooth system. The water bottle that falls on the floor, leave it there until you pull over. Save putting on makeup until you arrive at your destination. Keep yourself and the drivers around you safe by limiting distractions. Be safe on the road!
