First things first -Every stylist in this salon is "really, really, ridiculously good looking (If you did not get this reference, then please continuing reading this review only after watching Zoolander)." Anyways, appearance was very important to me, considering I was looking for an expert that could turn my "frumpy finals-week" look into something fabulous. Now, I have been disappointed many times before at other salons in Rochester, Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills, and even Ann Arbor, so this time I was determined to put some effort into finding the right hair stylist. After searching the internet and asking around, I decided to make an appointment at Capellis. I was initially greeted by the receptionist (Heather), she was very kind and explained all the different services Capellis had to offer. I also explained I had curly hair and I was looking for a curly hair expert. Although Heather mentioned that everyone in the store was more than capable of cutting curly hair, she booked me an appointment with one of their best stylists, Katie Russo. Katie Russo did a wonderful job, and I left the place feeling gorgeous, like every girl should after leaving the salon. Originally, I was just going get a trim (and get a feeling for the place), but after entering the salon and being greeted with such warm hospitality, I just felt like I could trust my surroundings. So I decided to go all out, and went for a full-blown hair package (treatment, cut, and style) and I had my eyebrows waxed for the first time (Shh, the latter is a secret). I was afraid it would be painful and that my naturally thick eyebrows would be reduced to little thin eyebrows. Wow was I wrong! It was NOT painful at ALL, and my eyebrows now look better than ever before! I am so happy with my new look! Thank you Katie Russo and everyone else at Capelli Hair Salon for caring about your customers and making us look fabulous. I will be back! p.s (I am a college student and this was not expensive. If you are looking for quality care, this is definitely worth it!)

Ive been here twice now (and have my next appointment scheduled already) so I decided its time for a review. I see Katie Russo, and its clear she truly cares about what she does and takes the time to do a great job. Ive had my hair trimmed twice and my color touched up once, and she always listens to my hopes and dreams for my hair and gets it perfect every time! Ive had trouble in the past with stylists giving my long, thick hair chunky blunt ends even when I request otherwise -- which results in big blocks of hair that stick out and look bulky -- but I dont have that problem with Katie! While I havent spent time with the other stylists here, its clear by looking around that they are all happy to be there and enjoy what theyre doing. A quick look at their instagram shows all of the continuing education they go through, which is nice to see to ensure that theyre up with the latest trends and techniques. I cant recommend this salon enough and Ill keep coming back as long as Im in the area!

I had a great experience here! I like the location, just the right amount of energy and tone. I’ve been looking for a new hairdresser for over one year. I’ve tried a few places with Groupons, only to be treated badly and leave hating my haircuts and color. Capelli’s Salon is not your average uppity Rochester salon; What you can expect is top notch talent without an overblown price or attitude. Mike was professional, attentive, and really listens to what you want. He took his time and explained what and why he was doing everything, checking in with me every step of the way. The whole staff is friendly and accommodating. I’ve found my new hairdresser and Salon.

I went to see one of the girls 3 times. Each time I saw my stylist it became harder and harder to make an appointment. I understand if you only work two days a week but I should be able to hear what your next available is not who you will refer me too. I called in during Business hours and got voicemail! When you have a stylist you like you want to stay with them. I dont want to see someone else or be told what your vacation schedule is. TELL ME YOUR NEXT AVAILABLE. That is what I ask not why you couldnt see me. FYI I will never refer this solon if his is how the stylists treat their customers.

The sign of a truly artistic, talented pro is being able to sit down in her chair and tell her to do whatever she wants. I do this often with Mandy and never once have I been disappointed! Ive been different shades of blonde, brunette...with short hair, long hair...and, if I ask for something specific, Mandy will tell me if it will look great or suggest modifications so Im very happy when I walk out the door. I rarely post reviews, but I would be remiss if I didnt give a glowing recommendation for Capelli and its beautiful, fearless leader. Mandy is 100% the real deal!!

I LOVE this salon, Mandy is incredible and can work wonders with hair. She is absolutely amazing. If you want your hair done right, she is the person to call!!!! She helped me recover from a horrible hair experience i had with a different stylist at a different location, by updating my cut and adding extentions. I highly recommend her. Plus the salon is clean and beautiful, her whole staff was helpful and friendly as well. Seriously book an appointment with her today, she is the best around.

LOVE THIS SALON! Mandy is not only a color master...I call her Magic Mandy she is also wonderful teacher/mentor to her team.! Her salon is always foward thinking and keeps up with all the latest trends. Her staff is attentive and always friendly! Paul Mitchel products are the icing on the cake...and now "It Works"... both products are also available to purchase. This salon is a win win for all of its clients!

Not all stylists are equally talented. New clients may want to meet their stylist prior to their first appointment to determine if the stylist is skilled. I am unhappy with my both my cut and color. Though the staff was friendly and helpful, I would not return to this salon.

I booked an appt at Capelli because I love Paul Mitchells cruelty free policy. Tricia was was amazing. She listened to all of my ideas and came up with something perfect for me. She went the extra mile for me and all of my hair. I went home with gorgeous vibrant silky hair.
