I wish i could give zero stars for salon de weave cause my experience there was far from pleasant. I go in there expecting to get a professional full closure sew-in and in end up getting a crappy one. First of all the girls in there act too stuck up to have a salon in highland park lol. They was so rude and they personality was so dry almost like they didnt even wanna be there. Second they had me go to two different stylist just to do a basic sew-in that i got done for cheaper and quicker by a 55 year old woman who is twice their senior. The first girl braided my hair so tight my head was hurting for two weeks straight after getting it done. The second girl did the sew in, and it came out looking lop-sided. I had to do some serious styling when i got home to make it look . Then the receptionist who i guess is probably over everything in the salon was so rude and unwelcoming. I remember two days before i came in i tried to make a appointment to get my hair done. The receptionist answered the phone so rude and kept putting me on hold. Finally she set up the appointment for me and said i was all set right................ the next day i called in cause i wanted to confirm the time that i set the appointment for. The same small short girl answered the phone with the same rude attitude and said she didnt see any appointments underneath my name for that day. I told her "maam i talked to you yesterday and you said i was set for that day........ why you dont see in there." The girl was like oh I dont remember setting up an appointment underneath that name. im like okay whatever............ im going to reset up the appointment for that day then. So she claim that she set it up for me even though she said that the last time but we see how that went so im kinda already doubting these womens business skills. I decided to not hold that against them and still go in to get my hair did where i was meet by the little rude receptionist at the door. She asked me what i wanted done and gave me a list to choose from. I choose the $80 full closure plus i told the girl that i was going to use the hair that they had at the salon. I got two bundles one 16 inch and the other 14 inch, the girl totaled me out and said it would come up to almost $200 which is what i was expecting to pay any ways so no big deal. After i paid they had me sit down and me wait for 30 mins to get in the chair even though i set up a appointment and was early. Finally it was my turn to sit in the chair and soon as i do the little receptionist come over to me with two CONTRACTS to sign.................. one for the weave and the other for the service. I just didnt understand why couldnt she wait until i got my hair dont first before she came to with paper work. I felt so uncomfortable like i was signing my life away for a little basic, not that special, super tight sew-in. I think the worst part of my experience there was while the girl was in the middle of sewing my hair she said i needed half of another pack of hair for her to finish. She literally needed only one track to finish my hair and said i have to pay $30 to get it. Im like but its only one track of hair and you making me pay $30 ?!? Luckily this man (who i think is the actual owner of the salon) come in and overheard everything. He had them not charge me for the pack of hair and had the other finish my hair. I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK INTO THAT SALON AGAIN AND I WILL TELL EVERY WOMAN THAT WILL LISTEN TO SAVE THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE THIER fAPPRECIATED AND RESPECTED AS A QUALITY CUSTOMER.

I bought a lace frontal, hoping they could do it like tokyostylez. I called before I went, just in case if they didnt know how. I went to this shop before for my $50 quick weaves and they always came out perfect but anything beyond that, it seems like they cant do but say they can. I showed them pictures before they started on my hair and they said they can do it. Then when it came time to do it, there was confusion about glue or it being sewn in, the lace frontal coming up, etc. I said that no, I dont want glue because its horrible for the head and the way he does it; it does a complete sew-in. Basically, I got it done but it didnt look nothing like it (which I expected) but it was beyond horrible! My braids were showing, she cut too much of the lace frontal ($160) and the hair that I bought is too thick for my small head ( which cost me $601 because of its thickness and how healthy it is) and they charged me for using all three bundles of hair when it wasnt needed ($145 sew-in). The issue is that I requested not for my hair to turn out exactly like @tokyostylez but to have something that looks real and easy to manage and get my moneys worth, and to have someone who knows what they are doing. I didnt get any of that so I called the shop the next day to see if they can fix it. I went in and I explained to them the problem. 20 minutes and it all came down to my fault. I was told that was supposed to use tape (which no one told me) I was supposed to do this and that. They gave me the option of taking it down and re-doing it but without the lace closure and have my real hair out (what I wanted because I knew I wasted my money which I wanted for free because my hair look like a cheap wig) for $115 or try to fix the lace closure. I wanted free because they thought they knew what they were doing just so they could have my money and to do a silly job like that, is ridiculous, especially spending $902 all together. They werent buying it so my only option was try to fix it...well they couldnt because she cut way too much of it so she put a lot of glue to try and cover it up. So I wasted my money, time, and energy and stuck with glue thats making the hair greasy with a frontal coming up off my head with thick hair all around. Tragic. Consider a lot. If they dont have proof of doing something BEYOND a $50 quick weave. Please reconsider.

I wanted to give one star but Im being nice because Im usually in and out in less than 2 and half hours. Ive been coming to them since 2011 when they were apart of The Weave Shop brand and I loved them. They prices went up. I continued to go. The name changed, I still continued to go. I even preferred them over the other locations in my area because other locations would screw up my hair. 100 dollar bundles butchered! Anywho my last visit here was April 30th. I wanted my hair done for graduation. I told the girl what what I wanted and was interested in. We spoke on the style several times and she started braiding my hair. I stopped her into the second or third braid because the pattern she was making didnt seem like one for an invisible part. She assured me it was the right pattern. I get to the girl sewing in my hair and I asked her how the invisible part would work with this braid pattern. She said it wouldnt and went to talk to the braider who said she confirmed thats what I wanted. LIES! She then proceeds to tell me a take down And re-braid would cost extra for each service around 30 each since "I was asked". I was already pissed because I prepaid and told them not to mess up my hair I had to go to graduation. I ended up getting a full sew in with Chinese bangs. ONE WEEK later a track came out. I had to sew it back in. 3 weeks after that a whole track for the area around the bangs completely detached from the braid. And Today, one month and one week after getting it done more tracks are coming out. I paid about 100 and some odd number for this sew in. Its complete trash and Im highly pissed that its falling apart just a month into having it. Salon de weave in highland park used to be my favorite, Id tell people to go there for great service and hair. Now theyre just unprofessional and catch attitudes when you tell them something isnt right with your hair. You guys should also get a dress code. I dont want the lady sewing in my hair to have her cleavage all in my face. What she had on that day was a night club dress. She couldnt even bend down when she dropped a comb. Her butt would be exposed. Get it together!
