I came in on a Sunday as one of the first clients. Martina knows her hair! The atmosphere is very inviting and you will feel right at home. You can tell by the way she takes care of her salon, that she takes care of business. The shampoo was very gentle and relaxing. She places a towel over your eyes after conditioning your hair while you wait. When she trims your hair, she is honest in what she says. Trim means trim. If your edges are weak, she does not fry them. She will warm comb them to help strengthen them. Martina is super friendly and tells you what she is putting on your hair and why. She is concerned about growing out your hair in a healthy state. Her prices are very reasonable and she takes good care of first time customers. I highly recommend this salon! Im so glad I found a wonderful stylist and a place to call home. Word of mouth is a powerful thing, because Im telling everybody I know to go here.

Im here getting my hair blown out for the first time..Ive been natural for about a year now and just moved to the city..I was very skeptical to come here because of the reviews..but I will say my hair is beautiful..!! Key things you cant make an appointment here..so pick a day that you have nothing going on cause you will wait lol..The standard price seems to be 45 includingwash..blowout..flatiron..and trim! Overall you may be there a few hours but you will slay for two weeks..(my hair is 4c natural and I am of West Indian descent..if this helps)!

This is the worse Dominican hair salon i have been too. They do not massage your head(the hardly wash it) and my hair came out damaged because the lady just ripped through the tangles. Im soo mad because it toook me forrrreveer to grow my hair out and they ruined it. Before I went there, my hair wasnt so thin and now it is. I think i have to cut it again :( WHY DID I GO THERE!!!??? The style wasnt great, my somewhat OK hair didnt last for a day. OH and they didnt do the normal roller set, they just destroyed my hair. I WISH I walked out!!!

I am changing my review from 3 months ago. The very first time I went the wait was long but not as long as the 3 hours i waited today. Also the first time I went I got a roller set, beautiful blowout and my ends trimmed for $40. I went back today did not get a roller set ends were not trimmed and she had enough nerve to charge $5 more. My hair only lasted me 2 hours and I had to reflatiron my hair before I wrapped it. I will try harlets next time. They are $10 cheaper and Ive heard good things about them.

I have been coming to see Martina at Dominican Styles Salon for nearly three years. My hair has never been so healthy and full. I have tried everything and been to sooo many places, but I would either get a style that was pretty or healthy hair that would be styled bad! I could never get healthy hair styled beautifully until I found this place! Martina WORKS MAGIC ON HAIR! And the prices are GREAT :)

Her and her daughter both are genuinely good people and are amazing at what they do. Beauty takes time so dont be alarmed if you have to wait, trust its worth it. My hair has grown tremendously since my first time coming and no one straightens it like they do. I have extremely soft hair and it burns easily but i can say I dont have to worry with them. Im definitely a pleased and returning customer.

I was waiting for my Wife to get her hair cut. When I was waiting I noticed that the stylist pulled out a can of Raid bug killer, and sprayed it into my Wifes hair! At that very moment I became enraged and demanded a full refund, but the stylist denied it stating, "It is completely normal". Both of us left, and will never recommend anyone to come here after that terrible Incident.

Some of the WORST service yet. I am just disgusted at (Im assuming shes the owner because shes giving out orders) the owner. Shes very rude does NOT do a true blow out. Most people just got the wash, blow dry, and flat iron.....no rollers for $45. The most expensive blowout ever. I dont know how my hair is going to turn out because I may have to leave before she gets started.

Im satisfied overall! However I had to tell them to comb my hair starting from the ends working up to the root not the reverse... ouch! My service was completed within just a hour and they allowed me to bring in my own hair mask so things worked out pretty well. I will ask for Martina next visit

I took my 11 year old in and Martina did a keratin treatment on her hair. She wont stop playing in her hair. Its so straight like its been hard pressed or permed. Theyre very knowledgeable about hair and want you to have healthy hair. Were definitely going back. Its worth the 40 minute drive

Great service here she does you hair in less than an hour and I love it and she really does care about your hair and does great eye brow waxing and shes grown out my hair alot she grown my hair out in a month the length it used to take my old hair stylest to make it grow

i went to get a Dominican blow out , I like it but she said shes gonna trim my ends but she cut it shoulder length when my hair was down my back almost touching my butt now i have to start all over:( im so disappointed
