First of all, Jay is an artist. You can see his perfectionism when the cuts my hair or trims my beard. Actually, you can see how he does this to all of his customers, as his shop is often busy forcing me to wait...and watch Jay work his magic on his other customers before its my turn. Of course, its never fun to wait, but at Jays barber shop, its usually such a fun atmosphere as he has such good people skills...and seems to know nearly everyone in his local community. Hes from the East Side; the shop is on the West Side, but he seems to know everyone within Detroit. I travel far to have him give me a haircut, because he is the best barber Ive ever met. Try him! Youll have fun while youre there, and youll look better when you leave...and youll feel better, too.

Jay is an amazing professional and his relaxed and pleasant atmosphere make you feel immediately at home. Twice he has shaped my eyebrows beautifully and twice I walked away very happy. I have spent a long time trying to find the right stylist to work with my brows and Jay was miles better than all the estheticians Ive seen put together. If youre looking to have amazing brow work done, I highly recommend Jay.

Atmosphere and barber GREAT! Brother Jay is the coldest in the D with them clippers and that razor. Ladies he got you covered too on the eyebrow tip, no wax just a good ol fashion straight razor.
