Well, where to begin. Upon arrival, we immediately took a walk to the lake. Ha. Make that, we tried to and walked over 110 steps down to the last few stairs which were dangling. Yes, I said DANGLING! They were not attached and hung at a precarious 45 degree angle from the sea wall. Bravely, we inched our way back up to stable ground and phoned the management company who assured us they had no prior knowltedge of this problem. Im sure the building inspector or whatever agency regulates rentals in that area, along with the owner of the propertys insurance company, would be interested in knowing of this disaster out condition. Great. Now what..? We have people coming expecting a vacation on the beach, which by the way, was my criteria when booking the site via Mill Pond Realty. We were assured the handy man would be sent right away, but in the meantime, we could use stair access from another property the owners had four houses away. We later found those stairs crawling with poison ivy. Not what we want a two-year old, a three-year old, or anyone, walking through for that matter. Speaking of poison ivy, if you happen to stay at Lake Breeze, dont go outside. Poison ivy abounds, up to 4 tall along the drive, but amazingly again, no one ever reported it. Sounds like this company needs an inspector on staff?? Very musty/mildewy smell overshadowed a spacious and well supplied property. Unfortunately, the negatives mentioned cannot be excused when booking a costly rental. i advised Melanie to confer with her mother regarding what they would do to "make it right" since we we not pleased with our stay. Never heard another word from her or anyone at Mill Pond. That speaks volumes and word travels fast. We already convinced friends to use another agency when they heard of our circumstances.

We rented a property from Mill Pond for a week in August, and I would not recommend them nor will we be using them in the future. While the house was pleasant, several of the features that we were counting on did not work and it took several days for that to be resolved. We checked in on Sunday and there was spotty WiFi, and we couldnt get either of the TVs or the stereo system to work. Were not technology challenged but as everyone knows, systems vary and there were no directions. It was not until Thursday that someone from Mill Pond came out to help even though we called daily. Upon arrival the companys representative walked in spewing excuses and literally blaming us for not knowing how to operate the systems. We were told that "we had pushed too many buttons." It was a very unpleasant experience. In addition to the problems in the home, when we checked in at Mill Pond, we were told that the key and parking pass to the private beach would be in the home. They were not and when we called, the company didnt know where the key and pass where. When they did locate them, we were told that we could drive back to their office in Saugatuck and pick it up - we were in Glenn Shores. Terrible service. Ive been renting vacation homes in the area for four years and have never had any problems with other property management companies.

WARNING!!! STAY AWAY!!! If I could give them a minus ⭐️ rating I would. My family and I rented Poolside in late August. When my son in law checked in we were given a sticky note saying they had just found out the hot tub did not work. The standing water and the parts in the bottom of the hot tub were rusty, that tells me the hot tub had not been working for some time. When I called on Monday they gave me a $200 refund. I paid $257 a night so I did not feel that was sufficient but they would not give me more. The pool house had a terrible smell and the a/c machine was dirty and noisey. The only a/c in the house comes from inadequate window units. There were cobwebs all through the house, they were especially bad on the front porch and laundry room. The sleeper sofa had steel rods sticking up, so we considered it unsafe. And dont plan on any peace and quiet, you can hear the highway noise 24/7. The bathrooms were clean and nice. The pool was clean and nice. Other than the sleeper sofa the furnishings were decent. The people I spoke to at Mill Pond were always short and rude, they did not return calls like they told me they would. Once they have your money they dont care about you. As for my refund I received it on September 21, only after I called to find out where it was. STAY AWAY FROM MILL POND REALITY and POOLSIDE

I do not recommend renting from this group, we had a horrible customer service experience. We had planned a girls weekend away in Saugatuck and when we found bugs in our bed, crawling on the comforter, in the sheets and on the pillows, we had killed the bugs and called the management (who left us feeling like they didnt believe us). Management came and said they washed the sheets & pillow cases & comforters, but when we returned the bugs were still on the beds & in the sheets-learning from the first time- we saved some of the bugs to show management, we put them under some cups (gross!) and left our lodging at 1030pm as management was not returning our calls. When we finally got a hold of them the next day, they accused of lying and told us we just didnt like the place and we were looking for other accommodations at their expense. Really? Yes, we wanted to find new lodging at 1030pm on our first night. PS. When we were calling around hotels to stay that night, one of the hotels told us this was not the first call theyve received late in the evening from patrons of Mill Pond Realty. I really encourage you NOT to stay here - the 2 manager we dealt with were LESS than professional. (Wouldnt you want to know if one of your rentals had bed bugs??)

Back bay chanty property should be avoided until properly fumigated . We are currently 3 nights into a 4 night stay . On the very first night we delt with an ant invasion . They were coming in windows and cracks in ceiling and around trim . Here we are on day 3 of ant invasion and still crawling on walls , floor , bed , ect . We were told ohhh sorry its the 4th and nothing can be done until first thing Wednesday morning . It is now Wednesday night and im writing this review and still picking ants off of me . I believe a Michelle called Tuesday morning to see how the property was and left a voicemail. Upon calling her back 10 minutes later i was told she couldnt talk . I made office aware of problem and told same thing as property keeper monday night .......oh its holiday and not much can be done .I hate to see a vacation come to an end , but cant wait to get home to a bug free home with a tv that doesnt have to be reset 5 times a day and air conditioning that properly cools . Just a few other things in unit needing attention . For close to 300 a night save your money and stay in hotel or b& b . Will not use again !!!
