Our family has gone to Lily Daycare for 5 years with our two daughters. I cannot say enough about the high quality of care that they have received! When searching for childcare, we were looking for an in-home environment where our girls could get lots of individual attention while still maintaining high standards of care and learning. Lily Daycare does just that! To begin with, they are a member of the University of Michigan Campus Childcare Network, a group of in-home childcare providers who work directly with the University to provide priority childcare to UM faculty and staff. They undergo additional training and regular staff development as a part of this program. The director continually stays up on the trends and science behind child development, is CDA certified, is working towards a secondary degree as a childcare professional, and regularly integrates this knowledge into the care environment. The most impressive thing about Lily Daycare, however, is the personal, loving attention that each child receives. The space is wonderful for small children; lots of different "station" areas, comfortable naptime and sleeping arrangements, and the best combination of "home" and "daycare" Ive seen from the many centers (in-home and group) that we toured during our childcare search. Easy access to the outdoors and an awesome play structure means lots of outside time which was very important to us. Because of the small nature of an in-home daycare, our kids have gotten loads of personal attention and feel confident and secure in their caregiver (in fact, my two year old calls the director "mom" :) ). She takes a personal interest in each child, and helps them develop the social, emotional, and academic skill sets that they need to enter pre-K or kindergarten at their own pace and in accordance with their learning style. Finally (I know, this is a very long review :) ), there are some unique aspects of Lily Daycare that have made our experience even better. First, as an in-home daycare, Lily Daycare has been able to be flexible with our work schedules and care needs. Also, all meals (breakfast, lunch) and snacks are provided, making life SO much easier for us as two full time working parents! Food is often homemade and of high quality, and the kids are encouraged to try new things and assist with preparation as developmentally appropriate. Lily Daycare is also CLOTH DIAPER FRIENDLY! This was SO hard for us to find in an in-home center! But the director embraced it without a hitch while maintaining proper licensing regulations for hygiene. Overall, we couldnt be happier with our decision to attend Lily Daycare for our two girls. Although one is now in Pre-k and getting ready to head to Kindergarten, she still remembers Lily Daycare as a loving place and visits often when picking up her little sister. Her teachers comment regularly on how well-prepared she was for pre-K by Lily Daycare; she was taught strong social and problem-solving skills that enabled her to make the transition from small in-home center to large classroom seamlessly when it was time to move on. If you are looking for high-quality, personal care for your infant or toddler, you cant go wrong at Lily Daycare!

What more can I say about Lily Daycare? God sent! If you are looking for a truly exceptional place to have your child cared for, this is undoubtedly the place. I am constantly amazed and blown away with the care, love, creative learning, and all round wonderful atmosphere that my daughter spends her day in. I would not have it any other way. It is such a relief knowing that your child is well taken care of, in an environment that is sparkling clean, healthy, safe and happy. The number of children is small enough to get that individual personal attention, and big enough for him/her to make friends and develop social skills. I always say this is my daughters second home, because that is the environment that has been cultivated for the children. Healthy home made meals are provided, and a keen attention to detail is paid to the needs of each child, as well as the wants of the parents. The owner uses her years of experience as a pre-school teacher to cultivate a growing mind and keeps the kids very busy with her hands-on learning activities. Each child grows and learns at their own pace. My daughter has been coming here since she was 3 months old, and I wish she can stay here forever. We toured a couple of the bigger daycare centers and interviewed a couple of in-home daycare centers as well, but when we walked out of Lily Daycare, both my husband and I knew without a doubt, this was the place. As first time parents, we were rather anxious about where we would leave my daughter once I finished maternity leave. We found Lily Daycare on the University of Michigans recommended home daycare centers list. A background check is already done on anyone listed, plus they have to undergo additional training and certification. The owner is extremely helpful with helping us navigate parenthood as first time parents. She has a wealth of experience that she shares. She is also very cognizant of changing work schedules and has been very accommodating when weve had to change schedules. Total peace of mind. Thats what Lily Daycare is.

After spending nearly three years at Lily Daycare, Im happy to be writing a review for Ambreen and her wonderful program. We heard about Lily Daycare through a friend and were very excited that we were able to secure a spot for our daughter when she was 4 months old. Leaving an infant in the care of someone else is always a stressful transition, but Ambreens gentle and kind spirit helped make us feel comfortable. She keeps the facilities very clean and the numerous toys and supplies well-maintained and organized. Ambreen was also very open using cloth diapers and wipes, which can be a difficult thing to find in a daycare center! We were very impressed with the interpersonal skills that our daughter learned from Ambreen. We could tell the types of conversations that Ambreen had with the kids during conflicts, because of how our daughter would interact with her friends at home. Ambreen kept the kids very busy with lots of activities, books, art projects, and outside play time. Our daughter loved the large playground equipment and outdoor toys (water table, push toys, etc.) in the backyard. We were sad to leave, but our daughter is so well prepared to tackle her new adventure in preschool because of what she experienced at Lily Daycare.

It wasnt too long after we found out that we would be first time parents that we began to think about childcare. My wife and I researched numerous different options for our daughter who would enter daycare at three months. We toured a handful of larger facilities and just didnt feel like that would be the right fit for us or our daughter. We decided to visit some smaller operations. We happened upon the contact information for Lily daycare and setup a time to observe. It didnt take long for us to know that this was the place for us. Ambreen, the owner operator was so kind and loving with the children, and it was obvious the feeling was mutual with the kids. My daughter began her care there at three months and is closing in on her first birthday. Everyday I feel fortunate to have Ambreen care for my daughter. Days are filled with fun games, laughter and engaging projects. The facility is extremely clean and Ambreen has a wealth of knowledge on childcare and development. I dont know what we would do without Lily daycare and Ambreen. I could not recommend her facility and care enough!
