Re: Poor Quality Message & Customer Service My first message experience at the Apple Valley location was a good one, so when I was approached to sign up for their year membership I agreed. I called for my next appointment and I was told that the therapist was no longer there. I then made an appointment with another therapist. It was not very good, but I thought I would try the therapist again just to be fair. When I called I was told the therapist was no longer there. What happened over the next number of months was that if I found a therapist I liked, she was difficult to get into (I got the impression many have other jobs) and/or the therapist no longer worked there. I called about 2/3rds of the way through my contract to complain I was unhappy with the quality of the service and wanted to end my contract. I was informed this would not be allowed, but they would set me up with someone they thought I would like. The message was good, but when I tried to get another appointment the same old cycle continued. When I went in to cancel my membership I was told I would be charged for an additional month because I missed the deadline. They also said I had three sessions still available. I said great. I used 1.5 sessions. When I called to use my last 1.5 session I was told my account had expired and my sessions that I had paid for were no longer available. When I said they did not tell me that there was expiration. I was told it was in my contract. Wow! For a company that is supposed to be for relaxation and helping, I did not find either the service or the customer service to be so. I recommend people to stay clear of the Apple Valley site as they obviously have poor management.

This was by far the WORST experience I have ever had. I have had a lot of massages from different people/spas and this was awful. When I called to make the appointment I wasnt asked what type of massage I was looking for...nothing. When I arrived for my appointment as our session began I requested to have a deeper tissue massage and the masseuse informed me that she didnt have the arm strength to do that. (Not her fault...in no way meaning to bash her) . After my session I was disappointed to say the least and when I informed the staff as well as the manager I was informed that it was against company policy to reimburse me or give me another massage with a masseuse that was more suited to handle what I needed. If you are looking for a relaxing, fulfilling experience...stay FAR away from this facility. They clearly do not care about the service they are providing to their customers and your money would be better spent elsewhere.

The therapists are very good. But as a business, the management does not seek to accommodate you in most cases. I had a free massage coupon and scheduled it before it expired but my car battery was dead on the day. I called, and they said they had to charge me for the massage because I could not make. They said they would credit that if I brought in the freebie coupon. Due to an illness in my family, I did not use my membership massages nor bring in the coupon for 2 years. Now that the illness situation is resolved and I am back, I bring in the coupon and they refuse to credit me because its been too long. So not only dont I get the free massage(this part I understand) but I also have to pay for it. I am canceling my membership and will tell everyone I know about this!! This was not the only situation..I had another similar experience while my husband was dying and had issues getting his membership cancelled.

I was just in here today to buy a giftcard for Mothers Day. I had my son with me and brought him in with me. A nice young lady helped me out no issues. Nice place, nice atmosphere. I would give 5 stars but there was a few issues otherwise. There was two ladies waiting and they looked unhappy/impatient. The other receptionist was a mess. She was unreasonably extremely loud and woke my child! She looked irritated and acted like she didnt want to be there. Not to mention she was on her cell phone while i was there. She told the young lady helping me she had to take a personal phone call and it was busy at the time! The young lady looked very unhappy with her but didnt oblige, I felt bad for her. Maybe hire more happy enthusiastic front desk workers like the Asian girl. I hope she is not working when my wife comes in.

Went to get relief from a migraine and tight neck. The therapist gave me a very uncomfortable massage. She never asked if something was bothering me or offered helpful relaxation tips. Her techniques were very counter productive, and after an hour I walked out feeling much worse than I had when I walked in. After being incapacitated for two days and unable to work I called and asked for a refund. Rather than offering my money back or giving me a credit, they offered to let me pay $50 more dollars to do it again. Id rather not be out the $150 dollars for diservice, thanks.

I have been to this location one time and had an overall really great experience. Coty gives amazing massages and makes you feel extremely comfortable. She went above and beyond to make sure all of my needs were met and to give me an outstanding massage. The front desk girl was rather rude when I declined the membership. I have met some of the staff at the Eagan location and have had a much better experience with the customer service there.

I have heard rumors that allege Massage Envy are booking nonmembers before Members because their hourly rate for nonmembers is $10 per hour higher. I have had the same Massage Therapist at ME for over 6 year’s. In those 6 years I have never had a problem scheduling a massage that is until the last 4 months. Now amazingly she is booked out for 6 weeks in advance. This involves the Apple Valley location.

Ive had mostly good experiences here, however I ultimately cancelled my membership because its practically impossible to find an appointment! I have to try and book out 2 months in advance to get a time that remotely works for me (after work time beginning around 4-6pm). Also, I prefer a deep tissue massage and it seems like there are very few of their employees who will do one.

They used to be really good and helpful, but it has started going downhill the past few months. It has started to be increasingly hard to get in and they when my boyfriend and I both called, it seemed like when I said I was a member, I couldnt get in, but when he said he was a non-member, he was able to get in that same week. Not sure we will be continuing our memberships

Ive been a member for approximately a year and a half. Ive never had a bad massage. All the therapists are very professional. I had one issue with the front desk, and the manager called afterwards to follow up.

Great massages... When you can get in. They typically book up 2-3 weeks in advance. Edit: And impossibly-long phone hold times.
